- Gerhard S.August 2023PositivosNothing, we weren't there.NegativosWe still had to pay 90%.Rip-off regardless of lossesUnfortunately, this picture once again confirms the German service desert: the provider provides a service or not, the customer always pays. We wanted to stay at the campsite for nine days and had booked. Unfortunately, this series of storms hit the Allgäu at exactly the same time. We remember destroyed... caravans and one seriously injured person at the campsite in Lindau. There was a red storm warning for the Forggensee at the time, with the threat of flooding everywhere. Of course we didn't want to go in this situation and canceled. According to the general terms and conditions, weather is not a reason for canceling. However, it was not weather, but UN weather, as the name suggests, the opposite. Now, from a purely legal point of view, it is probably incontestable that they demanded almost the full amount (we also paid, of course). But is that decent? An operator who cares about the well-being of his guests would probably have advised us not to come in this situation. But they preferred to accept that we might have a similarly bad experience as the guests in Lindau before foregoing the revenue. So what is the significance of a red storm warning?
Of course, this "fair weather campsite" will never see us!Traduzido automaticamente. - Rainer B.July 2023Positivosbeautiful location, large pitches, friendly people in reception and kioskNegativosBad WLAN and poor mobile networkRecommendableThe place is highly recommended. We liked it very much, both the location and the peace and quiet.
You can do a lot, both directly at the campsite and in the surrounding area. It's not just the big sights, but also the many small discoveries you can make.
We will definitely be back.Traduzido automaticamente. - Klaus B.June 2023PositivosWash house, bathing area by the lake.NegativosArrival, pitch, waste disposal, W-LAN.A campsite that only convinced us laterThe journey via the main road parking lot was already scary as we drove along a single-lane road towards the course. If a car and trailer were to come towards you in the blind bend, it would be difficult. It was lunchtime and other campers with caravans were already waiting in front of us in the narrow... driveway with no waiting area for new guests. A van and a caravan collided right away.
Registration finally opened and every guest had to fill out a form. This took ages, of course, as there was only one person at the registration desk.
It was time for us to drive onto our pitch. The pitches have a more or less steep gradient, as the entire campsite is on a slope. The comfort pitch is not small, but the format is unfavorable. I had difficulty positioning the caravan (7.5m). Overall, the campsite is not very suitable for large vehicles. The comfort pitch has electricity, fresh water and waste water connections. Then that's the end of it. In addition to the few grass areas, there are gravel areas with gravel from small to chicken egg size. Not pedestrian friendly.
The main road is within earshot, but doesn't bother you, the crows are more annoying at dusk tomorrow. The wash house is wonderfully new and always clean. Unless the neighbor was on it before you. The free W-LAN is hardly available. The information that there may be disruptions to the network because a new one is being installed doesn't help much. Waste management is definitely more inconspicuous. Another plus point is the child-friendly bathing area by the lake. The campsite is quite quiet unless the hip Munich locals come at the weekend and light a fire on the barbecue despite the risk of forest fires. It stands and falls with the neighbors.
Overall, a campsite that is a nice alternative to the sites at Hopfensee. OK for a week. If possible, approach from the south, it is clearer.Traduzido automaticamente. - Bruno B.May 2023Positivos- Quiet location - Spacious sanitary facilities - friendliness - Location by the lake - peace and quietNegativos- no dog bins - sanitary facilities are not cleaned dailyQuiet locationQuiet location despite being close to the main road!
Spacious and modern sanitary facilities. Nice walking paths for the dog. Restaurant closed.Traduzido automaticamente. - Thomas P.August 2022PositivosBeautiful location, very clean sanitary facilities, quiet, beautiful mountain panoramaNegativosPitches unfortunately a bit small in places. Although there is a midday rest, not all campers kept to it.Traduzido automaticamente. - Roland L.June 2022PositivosVery good for cyclingNegativosInn unfortunately closedAlways beautifulWe have been coming back to this place for years, very quiet, well-kept, clean, very nice women at the reception.
It's just a shame that the restaurant has to remain closed due to lack of staff.Traduzido automaticamente. - Andreas S.June 2022PositivosGreat location right on the lake. Pitches nice and big.NegativosWe had nothing to complain about!Satisfied all roundWe were very satisfied during our stay!

- Bruno O.June 2022PositivosLeaving as soon as possible.NegativosCommunication skills of the dump owner and dauhters. Bad atmosphere!Bruno OudegaJesus Christ what a mess.
- Go visit this place if you want to experiece 1950 again and meet the bad behavior of the owner!
- Go meet the two daughters of the owner and their modern communication skills!
- This in not a campingsite for enjoying the hospitality of the nice Bayern community.
We have... been at many campingsite in Germany and all of Europe and this is the place to be if you want to be dissapointed.
Some people wrote good reviews and than out of blue there's this negatieve review becauce the family runned "campingsite" are not interested in their customers.
You are warned, be carefull and take care.Traduzido automaticamente. - Erich A.July 2021PositivosEverything is really well maintained!NegativosHowever, the rain.... was not charged separately!Full marks from us...!No GIANT ENDLOSPLATZ but a manageable sanitary building that is absolutely top clean and slightly tempered.... during our stay the weather was not so special and therefore it was nice and cozy in the morning not to go into a cold sanitary building but to feel the day even before breakfast some luxury!
Come and see for yourself....!Traduzido automaticamente. - Carsten S.July 2021PositivosThe location on the lake, locationNegativosThe inn was closed.Short tripApart from the very nice new clean sanitary building, nothing has changed on the site over the years. Perhaps the pitches should be adapted to modern caravans.Traduzido automaticamente.

We were able to book without any problems, although we could only stay for 2 nights.Traduzido automaticamente. - Ulf S.June 2021PositivosVery friendly operators, very clean sanitary facilities, lake nearbyNegativosLarge stones for the space in front of the trolleyQuiet place with lakeBeautiful site on the clean Forgensee with a beach right next to the campsite. Very clean sanitary facilities, exemplary when fully occupied! Spacious showers, fixed shower heads with good water pressure. Showers at the touch of a button, water runs for about 30 seconds, very good! The pitches somehow... seem very close together, but are not too small. There is an area with stones in front of the caravan. We had the awning carpet on there, but unfortunately you do trip over quite a few large stones. Walking barefoot on it was quite a risk. Connections for water, waste water and electricity directly at the pitch. Unfortunately, if you stand in the middle of the pitch you can hardly see the mountains around you, maybe a few peaks. The operators are very friendly and helpful, even on Sunday I was able to get an ice-cold beer in the evening. Small store for the essentials and bread roll service with a decent selection. Unfortunately the restaurant is still closed. There is a hotel about 1km further on which did not want any external restaurant visitors. The access to the site is via 2 paths, the one under the road is very narrow, winding and confusing. So hold your breath for the estimated 150m and hope for no oncoming traffic ;-) We felt very comfortable!Traduzido automaticamente.
- S G.June 2020PositivosLocated directly on the Forggensee. Clean and well-kept sanitary facilities.NegativosIt would be nice if the restaurant was still open, but unfortunately it is closed due to lack of staff.Very nice and well-kept campsiteGreat campsite located directly on the Forggensee, very dog-friendly, unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the water on the beach, but there is an extra access to the lake a little secluded behind the wash house. The sanitary facilities are very clean and well maintained, as is the site in general.... The pitches are large and can be chosen even if you arrive spontaneously (if there are still pitches available). This was our 2nd time there and we will definitely be back. There is a small kiosk on site with very tasty cakes. Bread rolls can be ordered in advance.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Birgit G.June 2020PositivosGreat sanitary facilities, close to FüssenNegativosNone foundSuper placeThe site boasts a new sanitary building. The pitches are large and some have comfort pitches. There is a bathing area in the immediate vicinity. Many cycle paths start at the site. Füssen and the royal castles are 10 km away.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Dirk M.July 2019PositivosVery friendly staff, location, sanitary facilities, surroundingsNegativosNo open restaurant, bad W-LanVery nice vacationWe were at Forggensee for the first time this year and actually wanted to visit another campsite, but unfortunately it was already fully booked at the time we were there. Luckily, we have to say in retrospect. We really liked the Seewang campsite. However, the access road is quite narrow. Perhaps the... parking lot in front of the barrier should be reconsidered. We received a very friendly welcome. In general, we can say that the two young ladies at the registration desk and the store were always very friendly. The paths on the campsite are not very wide. Larger caravans require a lot of skill from the drivers. Some of the pitches are also quite small. We had a corner pitch and it was absolutely fine. The new sanitary building is very nice, large and was always clean. We didn't find the main road right next to the site annoying. It was less than 3 minutes from our pitch to the bathing area. The lake is great for swimming, but the Lech makes the temperature quite cool even in midsummer. There are plenty of excursion destinations in the surrounding area. There should be something for every taste. Whether sightseeing, hiking, cycling, mountaineering, swimming, sailing, .... you can find everything in the surrounding area. There were only 2 things that stood out negatively: 1. the restaurant is/was closed due to lack of staff. It would have been nice to be able to just go out for dinner in the evening or have to get in the car. 2. the wifi was anything but stable. As a computer scientist, I can say that it was not due to too few masts, but rather to the configuration. The mast on which we logged in (very good signal) obviously had no (or only a very weak) connection to the router, so we had hardly any data throughput. As soon as we were connected to another mast, it worked very well.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Ute R.July 2019PositivosDirect cycle path to Füssen. Beautiful view of the mountains.NegativosThe peace and quiet is considerably disturbed by the nearby main road and the playground is outside the square.Ideal as a stopover when passing throughBeautiful view of the mountains and direct access to the cycle path to Füssen. Unfortunately, it is not very quiet, as a main road passes directly above the campsite, which is particularly busy during the week and even refrigerated trucks spend the night at the rest area. The playground is outside the... campsite grounds and not all the play equipment is ready for use (table tennis table). The sanitary facilities are spacious and always clean. Ideal place for an overnight stay in transit, unfortunately not for longer.Traduzido automaticamente.
