We are always greeted very personally and always get a great pitch with our motorhome even though we never book. The sanitary facilities are cleaned often and well. The staff are very... friendly and helpful. There is plenty for children to discover. The free swimming pool is also great for splashing around. The playgrounds and bouncy castles are great places to make friends. Hedebo Camping is well worth a visit. Shower facilities unfortunately only available for 5 crown coins (currency exchange machine available at reception); however, the showers always include a toilet and washbasin and are very spacious and almost suitable for a whole family. We actually had to get "cash" for this at the end of our vacation. Disadvantage Wifi: Wifi only available at the reception; however, a package can be purchased for 50 crowns (approx. 7 EUR) = 3 days or 150 crowns for a month. On-site snack bar very basic and fast food. However, there are plenty of good places to eat in the surrounding area (Saeby). There is a lovely beach walk from the campsite. The cabin booked by our friends was clean and adequately furnished and equipped. Incl. nice terrace and TV. André M.julho 2010Hedebo Strand Camping firmly in Danish hands We spent 3 weeks at this beautifully laid out site in July 2010. Beautiful beach in both directions, where we rarely met people when walking in the main season. A fine sandy beach with mussel beds that really don't interfere with swimming. There is nothing... to complain about the pitches either. The registration is exemplary as rarely experienced! The site staff are friendly and helpful. But beware, the site is far up in Denmark, there are hardly any Germans there... (firmly in Danish, Finnish and Swedish hands) which means that our 13-year-old son had hardly any contact with other children.... He was not allowed to play soccer or take part in community games in the evenings. We all felt that we were tolerated, but we didn't really warm up to the locals in the north of Denmark, as 3 other couples also noted. As we only live 150 km away from Denmark, we are often in Denmark and really not sensitive, we will never go so high again in this beautiful country. So, now to the campsite, for the number of pitches there are too few sanitary blocks, but it was ok for us, showers 4 minutes for 5 crowns in large family showers, toilets mainly for ladies and gentlemen together (we didn't know that either) and the cleanliness was taken care of and was ok! Unfortunately I couldn't take photos of the swimming pool, I didn't have a wide-angle lens with me, so it was very small but clean and well supervised. W-Lan is free, but only works in the room above the registration desk, not elsewhere. Shopping facilities on site...quite expensive.... so off to Aldi or Lidl are 2 km away or to Saeby also 2 km away. Saeby has a nice harbor and fishing is possible from the pier.
