From the beginning the gentleman from reception was looking for reasons why he could not accommodate us. The car is... too big and heavy, but they have plenty of motorhomes at the campsite. The most condition was that we can stay if we don't go anywhere for a week. And then they just kicked us out! All this on a Monday night in the early evening and plenty of room at the campsite. When we arrived, the site manager wasn't too keen on our three-axle motorhome, but after we had a nice chat with him, he showed us two pitches, one right by the water and one next to it on a paved area. We liked the latter straight away, as our motorhome could stand on this area and the awning could be extended directly onto the adjacent grass pitch. Once parked there, we were immediately connected to the power supply and given detailed explanations of everything we needed. We received a very friendly welcome from the whole team. During the whole time, we never once had the impression that the operators were unfriendly or arrogant.
Particularly noteworthy is the well-developed access to the lake with steps and a jetty, as well as the beautifully maintained sunbathing lawn.
The site is very beautiful, quiet and close to the center of Unterach. All stores and excellent restaurants are within 10 minutes walking distance.
