- Tom K.June 2022PositivosClose to the ferry port Moskenes to Bodoe. Large, level pitches.NegativosA few more showers and toilets would be good Like almost everywhere in Norway, hot water for showers costs extraGreat location with sea view and close to the ferryOn our way back from the North Cape, we drove across the Lofoten Islands, with Moskenes as our last stop
The location of this campsite right next to the ferry to Bodoe is brilliant.
The pitches are large and level, we were lucky enough to have one with a sea view, brilliant.
However, you shouldn't arrive... too late, otherwise there won't be enough pitches.
As with most Norwegian campsites, you have to pay extra for hot water when showering.
Sanitary area was very clean, but could be bigger.
Friendly welcome at reception, price was reasonable.Traduzido automaticamente. - Michael N.August 2019PositivosDirectly at the harbor, beautiful sea viewNegativosA little more expensiveBeautiful campsite right on the harborAfter arriving on the ferry from Bode, we were happy to be able to head straight for the first pitch right by the harbor. With a little (or a lot) of luck, the killer whales swim right past the campsite.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Zábrodský J.August 2015Camping at the ferryThe campsite is a short walk from the ferry, there is beautiful nature and plenty of opportunities for hikes and excursions. The campsite is quite small, with nice grass for tents. Right next to the campsite there is a view of the sea, rocks and mountains. We stayed here for 2 nights.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Michael R.July 2015PositivosStrategically located for the Moskenes/Bodø ferry. From here you can not only wait for the ferry, but also visit Å and Reine and moreNegativosSanitary building technically and visually in very good condition - but is definitely not cleaned enough and is dirty in high seasonGreat location above the ferry harbor to Bodø and good for trips to Å, Reine etc.Ideally located by the Moskenes/Bodø ferry. From here you can not only wait for the ferry, but Å and Reine and much more are in the immediate vicinity. The view of the sea from the numerous pitches on the edge is really impressive. We were lucky enough to be able to see Orkasdirekt from our pitch on... day 2. The access road leads up to the campsite on the left just before the ferry landing stage. In the high season, there is sometimes a queue in front of reception in the evening and, according to the operator, the site is fully booked every evening during the 8-week high season - '... but he always finds a corner...' . This was also confirmed during our 2-day stay. If you can make it, you can arrive by 3pm/16pm and still have the chance to get a pitch with a magnificent view. All regular pitches are divided into two parts: a gravel area for the vehicle and a grassy area for sitting, lying, barbecuing ... The reception is not unfriendly but distant - you can tell that it is fully booked and doesn't need to compete for customers in the high season. You can still buy the standard tourist items at reception and the usual emergency rations of food and drink. Internet is free - works well but only directly at the reception building. The sanitary facilities are of a good technical standard and so far in order. However, cleaning is only carried out once a day at lunchtime. This means that everything is dirty in the evening after the first run and you will find it that way again in the morning. At least in the high season, multiple cleaning of the sanitary facilities is absolutely essential. The waiting times in front of the sanitary facilities in the high season can still be forgiven. 10 NOK for a shower lasting only 3 minutes is the highest price we have paid for a shower in Lofoten - if it was at least clean.... The music in the sanitary building and the otherwise very well-kept and clean campsite are pleasant. The tent meadow is slightly to the rear and slightly lower and is therefore somewhat protected from the wind. The kitchen definitely seems too small for the many campers, but as a caravan driver I can't make a final judgment. The site is not rated very highly in some travel guides, which - apart from the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities - it doesn't deserve.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Klaus G.May 2015PositivosStrategically good locationNegativosSanitary building, breakfast room, toilets (2)Place directly at the ferry dockBy now we have many places on the Lofoten behind us. This was the worst if you are dependent on the breakfast room etc.. With a motorhome you probably don't have that problem. The owner was very unfriendly towards the campers.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Marek M.July 2014Good camping for transfer to BodoThe camping site is around 300 meters from Moskenes-Bodo ferry terminal. There is a small grocery shop in reception. Souvenirs are available, too. WiFi access available for free with poor quality. Price- 250NOK/day with electricity.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Andreas S.July 2014PositivosPanoramic view with a chance to see orcas.....and music in the wash houseJust a stone's throw from the ferry terminalThis medium-sized campsite is about 300m from the ferry terminal and an estimated 15m above sea level. The pitches are generously parceled out, with a gravelled parking area next to a slightly raised lawn. We were there for the 2nd time this year. The most popular pitches on the cliff edge, with an unobstructed... view of the sea, are not in short supply, but are usually full from the early afternoon. Towards evening, when the ferries arrive, it gets crowded. This is when the sanitary facilities reach their limits. Queuing for showers is not uncommon. There is a largely flat grassy area available for tents. The cost for a mobile home is, in my opinion, a reasonable 220 NOK (+30 NOK for electricity). WLAN in the reception area is free and the hot shower costs 10,-/3 min. Fishing from the shore is possible, but requires some climbing skills if you want to avoid long walks, or you can fish at the ferry pier. Any time again! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: We were here again in June 2016. The site was extended in the area of the tent meadow to include a few pitches and parking spaces, as well as a playground. (See photos or Google Earth.) The orcas have remained loyal to the bay and have shown themselves on 2 out of 3 evenings, but only very briefly. Compared to previous experiences, we now also had very good WLAN reception at the pitch (60m from reception, no. 13) The sanitary facilities were still scarce but always clean. (The latter of course depends crucially on the guests. A few piglets present and that's it) Access to the wash house only by code lock. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: We were here again at the end of August 2017. There is no longer a free choice of pitch, the pitches are now allocated. However, requests can be made and in our case we got the pitch we wanted. Hot showers are now free of charge. Even now, at the end of the season, the sanitary facilities are still in short supply and the kitchen is firmly in the hands of the tent guests. (Tip: Get up early before the run on the wash house begins and shower from 2 pm when the cleaning is done.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: Beginning of July 2019. The site has been extended again in the meantime. A 2nd wash house was built and a high plateau for motorhomes/caravans was constructed (see photos). For some inexplicable reason, the site is visited by an extremely large number of tent guests every time. I have just counted 42 tents. I have never seen so many during our entire trip to Norway. We paid 340 NOK for a camper van with 2 people and electricity.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Ulrich M.June 2014PositivosGreat location at the ferry port and good infrastructureNegativosSanitary building at capacity when fully occupied.A beautiful location at the ferry port of MoskenesThis was our 1st CP on the Lofoten Islands. We loved both the location on the cliffs right by the sea and the location at the ferry port. Friendliness at the reception and the great condition of the sanitary facilities increased our enjoyment of exciting days on the Lofoten Islands. I would like to recommend... that checking in early "ensures good places" - the site was very full in the evening and the new sanitary building then reaches its capacity limits. This site is definitely a good recommendation for guests arriving or departing by ferry (to and from Bodö). There is a cozy café right on the square - the stores and the tourist office at the harbor close "very early".Traduzido automaticamente.

- Jörg B.July 2013Directly by the sea on a plateau. Level gravel pitch. Excellent fishing from the cliffs at the CP. Heat up the barbecue, put the rod in the water, take out the rod and put the fish on the barbecue ;-) A trip to Å is highly recommended, with its old bakery and dried fish museum.Traduzido automaticamente.
