- Torsten H.August 2024PositivosThe location on the MönchgutNegativosThe place makes a generally untidy impression.Strange placeWe had booked a vacation home on the site, which turned out to be a terraced bungalow. The site advertised free WiFi throughout the site, but this was not the case. They also offered a bread roll service, which works like this: you place your order the day before, the site then forwards it to the baker... and you can pick up your bread rolls from the baker the next day. I've never experienced such nonsense. A restaurant on the square at the edge of the cycle path was closed and the bathing area (beach) is a strip of reeds about five meters wide. If near-natural means that there is junk lying around in some corners of the site in the form of old building materials and the like, that is a bold definition. What was positive was that it was very quiet on the site. We will definitely be back on vacation on Rügen and the Mönchgut, but not on this site again.Traduzido automaticamente.
- André v.July 2024PositivosFresh air and peace. Great starting point for many hikes and bike toursNegativosIt was unusually restless at times during the day. This is probably unavoidable in the high season.17 days in the paradise "Mönchgut" on RügenThis was our third time in Alt-Reddevitz with Günther and Timo. Our reservation request was fulfilled. And once again we were able to enjoy the beautiful Mönchgut. We really feel at home on the site and we enjoyed the fantastic location of our pitch with a view of the Zicker mountains every day - despite the wind that blew around our noses from time to time.
We will be back. Despite the 730 km journey.Traduzido automaticamente. - Heike S.July 2024PositivosYesNegativosNopeRatingWe were here as a couple with big children, it's just great here. - Inge P.June 2024PositivosIt was a great vacation all around. Very nice operators, a great place, clean facilities THANK YOU!!!NegativosnoneGreat vacationWe felt very comfortable at this campsite. From the friendly welcome from the operators to the end of our vacation, we really enjoyed it and didn't miss anything.
This campsite is a little insider tip for nature lovers. It's about 5 km to the Baltic Sea, but it's easy to get there by bike.
The sanitary facilities and the camper kitchen were always clean.
We would love to come back.
A big thank you to the operators.Traduzido automaticamente. - Laureen P.June 2024PositivosPitch could be chosen by yourselfNegativos.Relaxed campingThe campsite is very well maintained. The camper kitchen offered plenty of space, was clean and never overcrowded.
The sanitary facilities are protected by fly screens and were cleaned properly every day.
The staff are very open-minded, friendly and helpful.
It was also pure pleasure for our dog. You... could start walks directly from the campsite. The beach is within walking distance. There are shops in the surrounding villages. There is a small food kiosk right next to the campsite.Traduzido automaticamente. - René K.September 2023PositivosI can pose however I likeNegativos🤔You can really relax hereIf you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you in the low season. Away from the tourist hustle and bustle, this is the right place for those who really want to camp. No matter what kind of pitch you want, whether sunny, shady, free-standing or sheltered, everything is possible here! There are plenty of catering facilities in the area, and although the sanitary facilities are not up to date, what is more important is that they are clean!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Federico B.July 2023PositivosVery beautiful surrounding, friendly stuff, trees and nature everywhere. You can rent bikes (we did and was great choice) they are cheap.NegativosThe bathroom were very clean but looks more like barracks. They are old school but okay. Electricity infrastructure could be expanded.Camping with an amazing LocationDuring our recent stay at Naturcampingplatz Alt Reddevitz, we were captivated by the stunning natural surroundings. The campground is nestled amidst beautiful trees and nature, creating a serene and picturesque setting. The staff were friendly and welcoming, enhancing our overall experience.
One highlight... of our stay was the option to rent bikes. We took advantage of this opportunity and it turned out to be a great choice. The rental prices were affordable, and exploring the area on bikes allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. It also provided the convenience of easily reaching nearby locations.
While the bathrooms were clean, it is worth noting that they had a more old-school barracks-like appearance. However, they served their purpose adequately and were acceptable for our needs during the stay.
One area that could be improved is the electricity infrastructure. It would be beneficial if it were expanded to better accommodate the needs of campers, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience.
It's worth mentioning that we arrived on foot from Göhren, which was a pleasant walk. This approach allowed us to truly experience the uniqueness of Naturcampingplatz Alt Reddevitz. Unlike the touristy and expensive atmosphere of Göhren or Sellin, this campground offered an authentic and natural experience. The local people were genuine, and it provided a sense of the true Rügen. We highly recommend exploring the area with a bike, either by bringing your own or renting one on-site. This way, you can easily access Sellin and enjoy the convenience of grocery shopping there. The cycling route between the two locations is remarkable and offers breathtaking views. - Katrin P.May 2023PositivosNice operators, many niches to stand, water is not far, great area for hiking, showers included, flexible check-in time, bread service around the corner, bike rental, very close to natureNegativosAs we don't have any major requirements, there were no disadvantages for us.Great campsite for nature loversThe operators are super nice and helpful, everything was very relaxed, whether it was checking in or paying. The site is beautifully landscaped. There are little nooks and crannies everywhere where you can stand. It lives up to its name as a nature campsite. There are lots of hedges and wild flowers for the animals. Showers are included. Everything is very clean. Heart and soul is put into it. We felt very comfortable.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Cirsten K.June 2022PositivosA very nice place! Lovingly planted, quiet, free choice of pitch, well-kept sanitary building, close to Baabe and the white fleet of shipsNegativosThere was nothing detrimental.Terraced campsiteA very beautiful place! Lovingly planted. We were surrounded by poppies and other wild flowers. We also liked the free choice of pitches on the beautifully situated site. We received a very friendly welcome! Alt Reddevitz is away from mass tourism with a great restaurant and delicious cafés. However,... you can quickly reach the major cities on the Baltic Sea by bike or car. There are many ways to spend your vacation in a pleasant way! Thank you for the wonderful time on your campsite and we will definitely be back. All the best!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Jo B. N.May 2022PositivosBeautiful location...pure nature and tranquillity...the pitches are nestled in nature...terraced...everywhere trees, bushes and wonderful wildflower meadows directly around the pitches...and especially worth mentioning are the owners/operators of the campsite....exceptionally friendly, uncomplicated, relaxed and helpful. This place offers everything we could wish for when camping...we would love to come back!NegativosWhen the wind blows here, it blows hard. A real challenge for campers with a roof tent.WomanThe sanitary facilities are well equipped. Everything is clean and functional. Design kept simple.
Camper kitchen great for washing up...very hot water.
Plenty of electricity and drinking water points.
We loved the nature on the campsite and immediately around it. Great starting point for bike tours and hikes...and nothing to hear except birdsong...Traduzido automaticamente. - Detlev S.June 2021PositivosThe peace and quiet... the location... The natural surroundings... Bus connection in front of the door...lots of possibilities to start cycling...The already individual care by the hosts...Negativos---We were there (once again). You have to experience this place!!!
From the extremely friendly and dedicated hosts to the meticulous cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and showers, the Naturplatz really offers everything you need to really slow down! The shopping facilities can be reached by bike within a few minutes through... a really beautiful landscape of lakes and hills that are relatively easy to explore thanks to the cycle paths.
Since there are no pitch rentals on the site, everyone can choose their own pitch and even if you spontaneously move within the site, there are no problems with the owner but rather recommendations for the next choice of new pitch.Traduzido automaticamente. - Steffi und Christian L.September 2020PositivosPeace and quiet. Everything in the east of Rügen can be reached by bike. Clean sanitary facilities.NegativosSanitary facilities are getting on in years. No shopping facilities on site. Relatively many short-term campers.Quiet and away from the crowdsThe natural campsite is located away from mass tourism and is not parceled out. One drawback is the small access road to Altreddevitz. Otherwise, the site is very quiet with a grassy surface.
The owner is friendly, helpful and deeply relaxed and everything is done accordingly on the site. The sanitary... facilities are very outdated and no longer meet current standards. However, they are very clean and are cleaned sufficiently and thoroughly.
Unfortunately, a lot of motorhomes drive through the site (several times) to find a suitable place to spend the night. That was a bit annoying. A good solution for short-stay campers would be to stay in the front area of the site so that it remains a little quieter.
In general, people on the Baltic Sea coast are more relaxed about the distance and hygiene rules regarding Covid19. This irritated and unsettled us somewhat and occasionally gave us an uneasy feeling. This was also the case at the campsite.
If you are looking for relaxation and peace and quiet, this is the place for you. In our experience and comparisons with other campsites, the price-performance ratio is not right. A relatively high tourist tax is added to the price. But that's not the campsite's fault.
What we didn't like were the sometimes free-roaming dogs that did their business everywhere.
Unfortunately, there are no shopping facilities on site.
We liked it and the campsite is a good base for visiting East Rügen.
Actually 3.5 stars would be ok from our point of view.Traduzido automaticamente. - Nicole P.August 2020PositivosParticularly beautiful, individual pitchesNegativosis not located directly on the Baltic SeaFriendliest campsiteA beautiful, very clean campsite with very nice operators! - Max D.June 2020PositivosVery nice owners. Quiet location. Good cycle paths in the area.NegativosSomewhat outdated sanitary facilities.Great campsiteI can only recommend the campsite. It is in a relatively quiet location and the surrounding area is very easy to explore by bike. The owners are very nice and friendly. Whether it was a recommendation for an excursion or help with a missing cable. We would love to come back!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Petra W.June 2020PositivosPeace, friendlinessNegativos-/-Beautiful natural site in a quiet locationThe site lives up to its promise! It is a natural site with freely selectable pitches. So everyone should be able to find a spot that suits them. You will definitely find peace and quiet here! The two operators are very friendly and hospitable; everything (reception, choice of pitch, information, invoice...)... is very relaxed and uncomplicated.
There was no bread roll service due to Corona, but there is a bakery in Alt-Reddevitz (approx. 800 m). There are also three restaurants and a café.
The campsite is located directly on the cycle path. You can get to Baabe, Sellin or Göhren quite quickly.
Beautiful walks and hikes can also be undertaken there (Zicker mountains).
The sanitary facilities are very basic and older, but were always clean.Traduzido automaticamente. - Dietmar S.August 2019PositivosSuper friendly, deeply relaxed site owners. No fixed pitches, no rules, (almost) everything is allowed.NegativosThe location of the campsite on Rügen is somewhat remote. But that's not the fault of this friendly campsite!Pure relaxation on a totally relaxed natural campsiteOur favorite spot on this year's tour! If you're looking for a 5-star premium campsite, you've come to the wrong place. If you're looking for friendliness, nature, peace and tolerance - this is the place for you. The campsite could also be in Greece or Portugal. The only things missing are the barbecues and temperatures! We would have liked to stay longer.Traduzido automaticamente.
