- Mario S.May 2023PositivosClose to the Steinhuder Meer, beautiful pitches, kiosk and restaurant on site, shopping facilities not far away.NegativosNo disadvantages.Beautiful campsiteNordufer Camping is actually one of our favorite campsites. The site itself has beautiful pitches that are not so heavily parceled out. It is more reminiscent of a nature campsite. You get a key for a door at the back of the site and, once you've crossed the little-used road, you can get straight to... the Steinhuder Meer. There is a kiosk with a restaurant on the site and the sanitary facilities are well maintained. The nearest shopping facilities are in the small village of Mardorf, approx. 2.5 km from the campsite, where there is also an excellent fish restaurant. The next largest town is Neustadt am Rübenberge, approx. 10 km away. Both are easy to reach by ebike for shopping. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We also like the lunch/quiet time from 13:00 - 15:00. Very beautiful surroundings that are great to explore by bike.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Wolfgang S.May 2023PositivosWe couldn't stay due to an accidentNegativosWe had a fall on arrival and could not arrive. No understanding from the campsite owner. Neither the owner replied nor refunded our money. Despite severe disability and multiple letters. Absolutely not recommendable, especially since the place made a very unkempt impression. - André K.October 2022Positivosclose to cycle paths, quiet, clean sanitary facilities, very good value for moneyNegativosNo bread roll service in the off-seasonAutumn vacation by the seaWe've been planning our vacation at Steinhuder Meer for a few years now, and now we've finally been able to put our many cycling and hiking tours into practice. We had very nice weather in the fall and a great time in the region.
We were able to choose a pitch. Electricity, 2 adults with caravan cost... €25/day. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the grass on the pitch was cut short.
We have to leave one small negative point: the kiosk and snack bar were already closed in mid-October despite the good weather and a few guests.
Conclusion: A great site in very beautiful surroundings with plenty of leisure activities.Traduzido automaticamente. - Katharina A.September 2021PositivosClose to the beachNegativosA few kilometers to the next townIt was a good weekendKurt walk through the forest and in approx. 10 min. There is a bathing beach. Nice for surfing. Nice bike paths to Mardorf or to the Toten Moor to Neustadt Rübenberge.
Sanitary facilities were ok. There are family bathrooms, get keys at reception. Bread rolls and nuthatch kiosk available. Restaurant too. On the whole it was good for us. We would gladly come back.Traduzido automaticamente. - Lutz S.July 2020PositivosGastronomy good friendly nice plots lots of treesNegativosnot directly on the waterAll good!Everything was great. It was a good camping option for us for one night. Always happy to come back.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Dirk D.July 2020Positivos-Clean -Many possibilities for leisure activities -quietNegativosA little further away from the water.Nice quiet placeWe stopped here for a few days on our way to the Baltic Sea. The pitch was very clean and quiet. Especially now in Corona times we paid a lot of attention to distance and this worked well on the pitch.
In the small kiosk you could pre-order bread rolls for the next day.
The food from the restaurant could also be taken away.Traduzido automaticamente. - Martin S.July 2020PositivosPark-like square, close to the beachNegativosNoneGood starting point for cycling toursThe campsite is designed like a park. We were able to choose a pitch. The sanitary facilities are clean and spacious. There are good play facilities for kids. We used the campsite as a starting and finishing point for our cycle tours.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Stefanie S.June 2020PositivosNo dogsNegativos-Quiet and surrounded by greeneryBeautiful pitches with trees and hedges, but enough sun. Very well-kept and quiet! The snack bar is good and the kiosk sells the best bread rolls we've ever had on a campsite. You can reach the beach via a short forest path :)Traduzido automaticamente.
- Fred J.September 2019PositivosRestNegativos--great placeWe spent 3 weeks at this great campsite. Large pitches. Something for everyone. Lunchtime peace is strictly observed. Clean sanitary facilities. Kiosk available. Snack bar too, but it is closed during the lunch break. Large playground available. The path to the beach is not far, but leads behind the campsite along a road.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Irene V.August 2019PositivosGreat location on the Steinhuder MeerNegativosNone!!!Beautiful square with lots of greenWe were there for 3 nights. It was very pleasant. The snack bar has a good price-performance ratio. The food is delicious, at snack bar level. Not a restaurant. The location is beautiful. Great for cycling as it's right on the cycle path. During the day the larger groups were a bit loud (music!), but... the night's rest was very well maintained. The sanitary facilities were clean and tidy, but could do with some refurbishment and the reception staff were very friendly. It is not possible to enter during the lunch break.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Karl-Heinz J.July 2019PositivosSpacious, not close together. Clean, safe. QuietClean and friendlyThe site is in a great location, the plots are partly divided by hedges. The lake is only a 5 minute walk away. The sanitary facilities are clean and in good condition. The staff are friendly and always helpful, even with minor repairs to the caravan. The bistro offers delicious food at reasonable prices,... and there's also a small store for the essentials. Of course there is also a bread roll service with delicious bakery rolls! Dogs are not allowed here, there are two nice playgrounds with new climbing frames, this is our third time here and we will definitely be back.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Anja B.June 2019PositivosBeautiful pitches, the beach area of the Steinhuder Meer can be reached on foot in a few minutesNegativosObserve the barrier timesBeautifully situated on the Steinhuder MeerQuiet and beautifully situated. The pitches are large and we had plenty of space during the week in the low season. The sanitary facilities were clean and ok, but in need of modernization. The coin system is also outdated. The staff are friendly and we had a great time here.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sabine B.June 2019Positivosquiet, close to nature, close to the lake, well parceled out.....NegativosNoneNatural, yet well-kept CP.... There over Whitsun, CP full, yet well organized, clean and something for every taste. Everyone has their own ideas and requirements. We liked it very, very much and would love to come back.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Martin M.May 2019PositivosQuiet, clean, beautiful locationNegativosNoneShort vacation May2019In the week 20-24.5 the place was very quiet (little visited)! It is well-kept and clean, the sanitary facilities were clean at all times, but not the newest but perfectly ok for us. The staff are nice, friendly and courteous! To the Steinhuder Meer it goes through a gate for which you get a key, briefly... cross the street (pedestrian traffic light) and about 5 min. walk to the beach Weiße Düne. The beach is ideal for bathing (swimming). Even at our time (20-24.5) children of a school class from the youth hostel were in the water nearby. There are toilets and a kiosk on the beach. It is a good idea to cycle around the (sea) as there is a lot to discover on the circular route. There are several places to stop for refreshments and the village of Steinhude is a great place to linger. All in all, highly recommended! We will definitely be back again!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Marika L.April 2019Negativossee aboveCampers with dogs not wantedNice place in a good location - wanted to become a permanent camper here. But dogs are not allowed. Children playing ?????????????? Probably only for pensioners looking for peace and quiet.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Karina E.July 2018PositivosClean and friendlyNice place for a short vacationBeautifully maintained campsite. From here you can explore the area around the Steinhuder Meer wonderfully. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. The bistro was great.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Carsten H.July 2018PositivosWooded campsite with shady pitchesNegativosNo longer permitted midday break (driving ban)Forest camping with lunch breakAfter we had found the north shore campsite, the road had more (ground) waves than the Steinhuder Meer in windy conditions, we were given a very nice welcome and the available power and water sources were quickly marked on a copied map. The possibilities of where we could park our camper van were also... quickly marked, which made the plan almost confusing again due to the many markings :-). The pitch was about 2/3 full and we could choose our spot almost freely. So a semi-chaotic allocation of seats. But that was perfectly fine. The site is very wooded and has plenty of shade. The sanitary facilities are in reasonable condition and are cleaned regularly. The fact that the sanitary building is left locked by the cleaning staff and can only be opened with the one campsite key provided is incomprehensible to me, especially as there is no possibility of unauthorized access from outside. "The" key must also be used to cross the pedestrian gate to the Steinhuder Meer, which makes it impossible for small children to cross the pedestrian crossing alone. All in all, a well laid out and cozy campsite. Despite the presence of several groups of young people, there was no noise pollution. One curiosity is that there is still a ban on cars from 13:00-15:00. In my opinion, this is no longer in keeping with the times. When the site management was asked about this, they quickly became unobjective, 'you have to understand that if you're going to be speeding around the site all day, then you at least need the two hours of peace and quiet'... We didn't see any speeders in the three days we were there and even if we did, they can be slowed down very easily with a few cleverly installed "Let op! Drempel" sills very easily.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Maximilian L.May 2018PositivosThe location, modern sanitary facilities, very friendly staff & good restaurant on the campsite.Great campsiteI have been to this campsite several times and can only recommend it. The sanitary facilities are very clean and modern. The reception is extremely friendly and courteous. There is a nice playground for the children. The artificial beach of the Steinhuder Meer (Weiße Düne) is only a few 100 meters from the campsite.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Corina H.May 2018PositivosDog ban and park-like spaciousnessNegativosThe wash house (especially when fully occupied)Nice CP, but the wash house...We were there at Whitsun for the 3rd time in 10 years. The park-like landscape, the proximity to the Steinhuder Meer and above all the dog ban attract us again and again. BUT something urgently needs to be done at the wash house; 1 shower is blocked as DEFECTIVE, 2 toilets damaged, 2 washbasin taps not... usable - frustration and queuing are the order of the day!!! What a shame. The campsite is certainly full on such days and lively to noisy, but that was okay for us. Prices were also okay; 1 campervan, 2 adults for €25/night. Unfortunately, the cleaning times were still in the early evening - from 9 pm you had to reckon with the locked wash house and make the long way to the other.Traduzido automaticamente.
