- S A.July 2024PositivosBeautiful quiet location! Directly on the (Chiem)See. Campsite quite clean and the size of the pitches also ok! Staff - friendliness, OK but could be improved!NegativosSanitary facilities very outdated and dirty. All floors are cleaned with *one* and the same mop cover, be it in the shower rooms or the floors of the WC (toilets). The shower cubicles are also very dirty and in addition there are spiders/cobwebs everywhere. Price performance, it should definitely not be/become more expensive! Kiosk unfortunately not always occupied during opening hours, you had to make yourself noticed in the restaurant and get something in the kiosk!RatingBecause of the beautiful location and the peace and quiet we would actually come back ....!Traduzido automaticamente.

- Finn M.June 2024PositivosPleasant service. Beautiful areaNegativosNot possible to use credit cards. The ground consists of lots of stones - difficult to get a single plug down. The lawn was in poor conditionTents and credit cards did not go wellNice service, but should take a credit card. The excuse was high fees, but with a price that was over double what I've experienced so far on the trip (5th night), it should cover both fee and profit.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Siggi H.October 2023PositivosThe location is beautiful and quiet. Ideal for water sports enthusiasts and also suitable for hikersNegativosThe prices are too expensive for this place, the staff is very friendly, the sanitary facilities are ok.Camping management too arogantWe are disappointed with the management of the place.very overbearing and arogant.
The receptionist on the other hand was very friendly.Traduzido automaticamente. - Susanne B.September 2023PositivosPlace directly on the waterNegativosVery narrow pitchesGreat locationThe site has a great location, our pitch was by the water with a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff were very friendly, the sanitary facilities simple but always clean.
The pitches were very cramped, we have only experienced such tight conditions on a few pitches before, never on campsites.
Fire protection?
The pricing policy is opaque, why do you pay an energy flat rate when everything has to be paid extra (shower and electricity)?Traduzido automaticamente. - Katharina K.August 2023Positivos-The location on the lake is very nice -The sanitary facilities were cleaned frequently and were clean so far (the drains of the washbasins cannot be cleaned and were accordingly dirty). -The cleaning staff is very friendlyNegativos- hot showers cost extra - small pitches - pitches close together - children's playground on the shore - limited public access to the shore - outdated sanitary facilities - outdated buildings - very expensive - Manager very unfriendly, passive aggressive and unable to take criticism - menu and owners racist (see below)Poor value for money and racist ownersThe sanitary facilities and other buildings are outdated, seem loveless and could urgently do with renovation. The pitches are very small and everything is very crowded; if you don't book a lakeside pitch for an extra charge (€20 per night), access to the lake is very limited and right next to another... pitch and the children's playground.
For the high price, we definitely expected more and are very disappointed with this campsite!
It is absolutely unacceptable that the colonial-racist N-word is used on the menu and defended by the owners as a Bavarian cultural asset. The N-word is historically associated with the dehumanization, devaluation, colonialism, slavery, rape and genocide of millions of Africans. According to the Duden dictionary, the N-word should be avoided, the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHG) has been appealing to restaurants for 15 years to use a different beverage name for cola wheat, in response to the resolution of the Arbeitskreis Panafrikanismus München (https://panafrikanismusforum.net/aktionen.html), the word was banned in Munich last year. The word is racist and not neutral. Two ways to deal with it - 1. acknowledge that it is racist and stop using the word or 2. continue to use the word and thus continue to reproduce and normalize racism. The owners opt for the latter and are not prepared to discuss the issue. And writing on the menu that the following is not meant to be discriminatory, but then using a racist word, does not make the whole thing any less discriminatory.
It is no effort to change a menu and it does not hurt to make an effort to use less discriminatory language. Nor does it hurt to question and change traditions that discriminate against other people.
All in all, we didn't feel comfortable at all!Traduzido automaticamente. - Ferdinand R.August 2023Positivos- Location, location, location - Small beach at the eastern end of the headland - Playground - Close to PrienNegativos- Restaurant "ok" but nothing more - Getons in the shower - Too expensive for what is on offer - The place seems somehow "crammed" overall - Muddy tent meadowLocation is great, the rest rather "ok"It's all about the location! We were there with a canoe and tent and benefited from the great location. If you can get a pitch right on the lake, it's MEGA.
Overall, however, the place is a bit "loveless" and looks run down. The restaurant has high prices and mediocre quality. The store is extremely... rudimentary. Getons in the shower are no longer an option in my opinion. We don't live in the 80s anymore, do we? I'd rather pay a bit more and be able to shower normally. Without time pressure and without having to search around for the Getons.
Unfortunately, the space has also become quite chaotic. There are cars parked everywhere (even on the access road) and someone is constantly maneuvering somewhere. I'm glad we were traveling with a tent and not a caravan ;-)
Bottom line: Quaint yes, top location. Comfort rather "well"Traduzido automaticamente. - Andreas W.June 2023PositivosThe silence The sanitary facilities Small shop Courtesy of the staff and the operator Prices Still okNegativosNone foundNice short tripMy rating
The campsite is very well run clean
tidy and perfect for a vacation at the Chiemsee
We will definitely come againTraduzido automaticamente. - S. S.May 2023PositivosRestaurant with friendly staff on siteNegativosFar too expensive ... a few examples: - 15 reservation fee - you fill in, online, everything yourself... - 15.60 Euro energy flat rate -15,60 Euro electricity flat rate (4 days) - Showers 1 Euro/5 min (and in some showers only with luck warm water) - Dog almost 7 Euro/day ...i.e. with 2 adults +1 dog you are over 60 euros/day Reception not particularly friendly. You get the impression:"...we are not dependent on you, people come anyway because the place is right on the lake..."Location, location...rip-offOnce and not again!!! See disadvantages.
Although we booked 4 motorhomes with 9 people at the beginning of the year, we saw nothing of the mountains and sea because we were placed in the farthest corner. There was a lot of hustle and bustle because campers were constantly arriving and departing.
Apart... from clean showers, the site basically offers nothing ... no WLAN either, fuses often blow even though not much is running...
That's not bad at all, but so many fees + costs in this amount is a rip-off!!!Traduzido automaticamente. - Otto F.July 2022PositivosBoater friendly, pitches directly on the lake or at most in the second row. Bicycle rental.NegativosnoneBeautifully situated on a peninsulaWe stayed there for one night on a 3-day trip around Lake Chiemsee with two kayaks. Although the site was fully booked, we were given a very friendly welcome and allocated a quiet campsite right on the water. The site is beautifully situated on a peninsula. There is a very popular restaurant with a very friendly landlady.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Daniela L.July 2022PositivosGreat locationNegativosUnkempt placeIn case of needWell, it could be so beautiful there! Unfortunately a very unkempt site. Place is crammed with far too many vehicles and is really very expensive, sanitary facilities old but clean. No wifiTraduzido automaticamente.
- Andreas E.May 2022PositivosSpace size for my semi-integrated Friendliness Supply and final disposal restaurant Cleanliness sanitaryNegativosExisting waste bags for dogs are not usedBetter than most reviewsWe stayed at the campsite for 4 nights.
Shorter than stated in the reservation.
Early departure was no problem. Very friendly reception.
Contrary to many reviews, I had a large pitch (corner plot)
With the caravans it could get a bit cramped though.
The sanitary facilities were constantly cleaned.
Bread... roll service is available.
Location is limited to the village of Prien. For longer distances the bus can be used nearby.
For a longer stay it can become monotonous.
Our stay was really pleasant.
We will be back.Traduzido automaticamente. - Michael G.April 2022PositivosnoneNegativosThere is almost nothing for children - a small playground is available but that's it. There are no sights nearby, you need a bike to see anything or a mobile.Only disappointedWe can only judge for the time (Easter 2022) when we were there!
The whole place was unkempt and the plots very narrow!
The sanitary facilities were clean, but there was no heating the doors were always open despite the cold.
The prices leave much to be desired for this place overpriced and who books... a lake place pays again extra. There is only electricity no water connection nearby. The disposal when leaving the place.
We stood near the lake and had followed the red markings until then everything was OK only when new arrivals wanted to put their caravan crosswise and almost bumped into our new motorhome and then put it straight in so that you couldn't open a door or window and the awning was set up with hammers until 23:00. The boss of the place pointed this out was unfriendly and she did not care. We wanted to leave but were told that we would still have to pay for the days we had booked.
For us it was not a nice Easter days and are an experience richer only this place we will never visit again.Traduzido automaticamente. - Helmut D.September 2021PositivosNothingNegativosThe pitchOvernight stayWe were on our way back from Croatia. As we knew the place from previous overnight stays, we wanted to take a break here again this time. To our surprise, the price for 2 people for an overnight stay had more than doubled to 44 euros. This was for a pitch of a maximum of 40 m2, without water or waste... water. Showers were charged extra.
In addition, a flat-rate electricity charge (included in the 44 euros) of €3.65 was far too high.
When we asked why it was so expensive (in contrast to before), we were answered:
After all, we are a campsite and not a transit site.
For us, and also for some others we spoke to there, this campsite is a thing of the past.Traduzido automaticamente. - Gerd L.August 2021PositivosProximity to the lake, panoramaNegativosLayout of the course Pricing Sanitary facilities Behavior of the operators Non-compliance with rest periodsProbably the most beautiful and quiet campsite on Lake Hiemsee???The pitch has no order whatsoever! The individual pitches are laid out in a chaotic manner, i.e. criss-crossed.
There are no escape routes for the individual pitches. The permanent campers have to cross the tourist pitches to enter or leave their pitch.
The unfriendliness of the operators is immediately... noticeable.
The age and therefore the condition of some of the sanitary facilities (according to the brochure: luxury sanitary facilities!, hardly any space, no shelves or hooks) are not up to date.
It is expressly stated that it is quiet time from 1pm to 2pm! Nobody adheres to this. The barrier was never closed during this time!
The fact that the pitches are small has been described. But that the neighbor is already half a meter away, you could not find out (see above - permanent campers)!
Compliance with the corona measures is required of the vacationers (FFP2 masks), the staff of the campsite and the restaurant only wear medical masks, and only below the nose!
A deposit is normal, but if €15 is then withheld for the reservation, I think that's cheeky! For what? Read 2 minutes of e-mail and reserve a seat....? A friend of mine was also charged €15 for one night! Is that greed?
The price for this place is in no way justified!!!
A comparison with the site in Übersee-Rödlgries, a well-kept, spacious and modern site that costs just as much, definitely does not stand up!
My conclusion: Not again! I want to relax and not be annoyed!Traduzido automaticamente. - Alceu K.August 2021PositivosWell located for excursionsNegativosCamping site was under water every time it rained, constantly flooded awnings, power failure every time it rained, sanitized facility very small and poorly made...DisappointedImmediately after arrival the first disappointment, almost half of the half island does not belong to it, the most beautiful beach for swimming is private and is a sailing school.
The sanitary facilities are very old, the area with the family showers is a bit newer, very poor ventilation, everything... stinks, there are windows but these cannot be opened.
The pitches are really very small, with caravan 6.4 m long and awning the place was fully exhausted, there is little space for bicycles.
The whole site has no drainage system where the rainwater can run off, which means that when it rains everything floods, awnings full of water, mud and dirt everywhere, it's disgusting...
If that wouldn't be enough, the electricity is constantly interrupted, as soon as it rains, the electricity is gone, apparently the whole campsite is only protected by one fuse, which means that if someone runs water into a power cable, the fuse for the entire campsite and sanitary facilities fails, and sometimes even for a whole night, because there is no one to reach in the reception in the evening....
We actually wanted to stay for 10 days, but broke off after 7 days and went back home because the site was constantly flooded.
At the checkout there was also no accommodation, I described the situation and showed pictures of the awning full of water and that the reason was the earlier departure, but we still had to pay for the 10 days we had reserved instead of just the 7 we actually stayed there.
In summary, it is a beautiful area and you can see and do a lot, but please do not land at this campsite, otherwise you will spoil your vacation.Traduzido automaticamente. - Miriam H.July 2021PositivosWe were allowed to check in in the evening. Thanks for that! The woman selling bread rolls was very nice.NegativosFor us it was ok for 1 night. Unfortunately we were treated unfriendly in the restaurant. When we walked around we realized that everyone was standing all over the place... close together. The campsite gave us an unclean, desolate impression. The shower was cold...25 meters of power cable was just enough. Sanitary facilities were clean....but they were closed after 10pm. Campers brushed their teeth at the sink corner We definitely won't be staying here next year. Conversations with the neighbors reflected all the movements written here.too bad !!!!Never again! You should revise your concept for running a campsite again.
It's a pity that you still have to experience something like thisTraduzido automaticamente. - Ronald R.June 2021PositivosClean; Well locatedNegativosNarrow parking spaces - But that is also described by the landlordThose who read correctly have nothing to complain aboutWe spent a few days at the campsite in June and were very happy with everything.
Why? Because we read the description of the campsite properly beforehand
Therefore, we cannot share the bad reviews
Pitches too small: It is explicitly written that the pitches have 40-60 square meters. If you come with... a huge caravan, it's your own fault
Hard floor: This is stated by the landlord. Then you are not allowed to use aluminum pegs.
Dirty pitch.....During our stay, the pitch and the sanitary facilities were spotlessly clean
Unfriendly staff: Not at all! We received a friendly welcome and were always well looked after
The restaurant is also to be recommended.
All in all, we had a very nice time at Harras. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short, but that wasn't a problem
A little tip: Make sure you get a place by the lake - the extra price is worth it!!!
And use the guest card with which you can travel by bus and train for freeTraduzido automaticamente. - Daniela S.June 2021PositivosDirectly on the Chiemsee, bathing possibility, not far from PrienNegativosVery narrow pitchesSmall idyllic campsiteWe were spontaneously offered a waterside pitch, but it was too sunny for us. We found one under trees with a view of the lake. The pitches are small, but ok. A small playground and a bathing area round off the site's facilities. We recommend bathing shoes, as the bathing area is stony and the water... is also stony, but the water is crystal clear. An Eldorado for sups! The restaurant is also a small supermarket for bread rolls and other small items. From Prien we took the boat to Herreninsel and Fraueninsel. Two very different islands, one with a huge castle and the other with lots of small fishing huts and handicrafts.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Marcus L.June 2021PositivosRestaurant good, food delicious, waitress nice. WC facilities clean and regularly cleaned. If you can see the lake, the view is very nice.NegativosPitch in the backyard is more like a better parking space than a campsite. Close together, you can practically eat your neighbors off the table. Toilet facilities unfortunately without paper towels, so let your hands dry in the air. But the main thing is to hang up signs due to Corona that you should wash your hands properly and dry them with disposable towels. Which disposable wipes?never again!!! very disappointingRequested a pitch by the water by phone and received confirmation. Unfortunately, nobody knew anything about it when we arrived and we were put up on a gravel pitch at the back. There is no mention of this gravel pitch on the internet. Where is the panorama? Where is the promised lake view? When checking... in, don't dare to say that you "don't want to go back there" but would like to stay on the requested pitch near the lake. The boss immediately became unfriendly and short-tempered. Her first reaction was: "If you don't like the pitch, you can go back. But you won't get your deposit back!" Panorama Camping Harras apparently has to put up with this kind of statement. If we hadn't paid a deposit, we would have left immediately. The boss should better not have any contact with campers. You can scare your camper guests away that way! She succeeded with us.
Extremely narrow pitches rounded off the short vacation. Just one table fits between the caravan and the camper.Traduzido automaticamente.
