Good place to explore the Algarve
The site is a fairly extensive natural area with many trees, many of which are young. The spacious pitches (partly unclear parcelling by trees / bushes) are somewhat uneven on forest, earth and weed ground. There are some nicely laid out rental cabins in a separate area by the swimming pool. However,... permanent campers are scattered all over the site. The sanitary facilities are outdated. The toilet doors close poorly and the plastic seats are moldy. The hot water didn't work in all the showers. The washing facilities are very cramped and without hot water. The same is also missing at the outside sinks. At least they are cleaned regularly. The swimming pool makes a very well-kept impression with a tidy sunbathing area. There is a tiny kiosk where you can buy bread rolls, especially in the morning. In the low season, the restaurant is at best a bar with a snack bar. Perhaps things are different in the high season. If you really want to, you can walk to the nearest beach in about 15 minutes. However, the path is not particularly beautiful and the beach at the western end of Armacao de Pera is much nicer in my opinion. Here you just need bicycles or a car. The staff were friendly and communication in English was no problem. The place was quiet day and night.

Ideal para gente reformada
Maoritariamente este parque é ocupado por gente reformada de origem inglesa. É um excelente lugar para quem necessite descansar e relaxar porque o ambiente é bastante calmo. O atendimento é muito bom e os preços não são caros. Existe uma agradável simpatia por parte dos funcionários. A minha avaliação é de 5 estrelas para este Parque.

I don't know what the other reviewers have to complain about (apart from the one positive opinion, of course). There was plenty of hot water in the showers and at no extra charge. The sanitary facilities were mopped twice a day and were always very clean. There is plenty of water and washing facilities,... a swimming pool that you have almost to yourself. The cats are not a problem, unless you feed them, then of course they keep coming back. The friend on whose pitch we were allowed to pitch our tent even has a cat allergy and is not bothered by the animals. We were always treated politely and courteously at reception, "even though" we are German. However, you should be able to speak English. Nobody asks you to learn Portuguese beforehand, but the relevant polite phrases will of course help a little. The only downside is the restaurant - it is almost always empty, the service is extremely slow and only one hot dish is offered per day. This may be different in the high season. However, due to the high density of restaurants in the nearby town, there are always good alternatives. We liked it there and will definitely be back.
