The campsite is now run by the Oostappen Group and is located in the forest (pine trees) about 6 km from the center of Arnhem, right next to the A12, which you can clearly hear. Some of the pitches are also overgrown with trees or the pitches are located between the trees, so that the access road is... sometimes narrow. The site is very well maintained overall. The sanitary facilities are a little dated, but very clean. The washbasins are very close to each other, in the sanitary buildings in area D and C there were only three showers each (for men and women). In Holy Week 2016, sanitary building D was not sufficiently heated and the two available sockets (e.g. for blow-drying) had no electricity; sanitary building C was OK. We (2 adults 2 children) were on the pitch in section "C" over Ascension Day. The pitches are not demarcated but sufficiently large and interspersed with old (beautiful) trees. The proximity to the highway was clearly audible depending on the wind direction. The sanitary facilities are clean, but the... showers are small for such a large site and there are no soap dispensers or hand drying facilities. (therefore 2 stars). The zoo is about 20 minutes by bike (comfortable ride) and to Arnhem about 40 minutes. *** Charcoal barbecue not allowed on the pitch ***
