- Jürgen H.June 2023PositivosSee comment. Short distances to the village, which has a good infrastructure with nice stores and restaurants.NegativosFree wifi only near the reception.Recommended campsiteThis was our 5th time at this campsite and we felt very comfortable there. It is a very good starting point for trips to the Black Forest, the Kaiserstuhl and Freiburg, as well as cycling tours along the Rhine and to the towns in the surrounding area. Europa-Park Rust and nearby Alsace are also recommended destinations. There is a friendly atmosphere and help is available if you have any questions.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Julia K.September 2022PositivosWe didn't get to enjoy it!Negativossee detailed commentary10.9.22: To make others ashamedI would like to tell you briefly about an experience that my daughter (27) and I (63) had on our return journey from Tuscany on 10.9.22 with my camper van in Herbolzheim (near the BAB 5, approx. 35 km north of Freiburg):
We came from La Spezia that day, had already traveled 650 km and arrived at the... Terrassencampingplatz Herbolzheim campsite, Im Laue 1, 79336 Herbolzheim at 9.30 pm. We were on the road for a long time that day due to several traffic jams at the Gotthart tunnel & in Italy, so we had also tried to announce our delay by phone, but there was only an answering machine.
As is usual at many campsites, we had hoped to be able to stay in the parking lot of the campsite, which is even advertised as free, so that we could at least enjoy the sanitary facilities.
A motorhome was already parked in the parking lot.
The tenant/owner immediately approached us and asked if we knew what time it was. We tried to explain our delay and asked about the possibility of spending the night in the parking lot. The somewhat upset owner immediately said loudly that they wouldn't even start such a thing, it was out of the question for him. When asked about the motorhome, he said that this family was known to them. And we should please leave immediately. He didn't even want to give us the time to consult with them. Then he and his family (?) stood like a guard battalion in front of his gate and waited until we had left. These site operators should be ashamed of themselves!
He didn't care at all about turning away two women traveling alone at this time of night. My daughter and I were very surprised, a little shocked, angry and didn't understand this procedure at all. We had to look for a new place to stay because we were overtired from the journey and then found a place to stay on our own in a forest parking lot. There we already had a bit of aTraduzido automaticamente. - Gerold D.September 2021PositivosFriendly staff, very quiet, good sanitary facilities, everything very well maintained, very good opportunities for hiking and cyclingNegativosWC has neither lid nor glassesVery good campsite!Beautifully laid out and well-kept campsite in the middle of nature. - Esther -.August 2021PositivosGood Plumbing (but why no toilet seats?), rustic setting, nearby outdoor swimming poolNegativosA very unkind and unpleasant manager/owner of the campground. Paying for WiFi which then does not work. Pitch is too sloping (pitch 47) to be able to put the caravan down properly (even with recovering it is still written).Recommended: hospitality courseThe campground is located nicely enough, with a beautiful swimming pool less than 100 meters away. If you start hiking behind the campground you will find yourself in a particularly beautiful area. The campground also has a nice green appearance. Unfortunately for us the disadvantages outweighed the... advantages. A very unkind owner who barks at you if you ask anything. WiFi sales that were very poor (even though he already knew the WiFi was very functional, we found out later). And a site where the caravan could not be put down properly. When we wanted to put caravan on other way we were forbidden by the owner.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Klaus R.August 2018PositivosQuiet, top price-performance ratio,NegativosToilets do not have toilet seatsBeautiful campsite in the Black ForestA clean small campsite with adjoining swimming pool, quiet terraced site, friendly, helpful, and absolutely relaxing. - Stefan P.August 2018PositivosClose to the outdoor pool, beautifully situated, well-kept sanitary facilitiesNegativosSomewhat narrow pitchesBeautiful place on the edge of the Black ForestBeautifully situated site with courteous operator. Clean sanitary facilities with children's toilet. The covered drying area for laundry is clever! Very friendly service in the restaurant. Delicious pizza, recommended despite the small menu. Close to the outdoor pool. Pitches a bit small for today's standards.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Eckardt B.May 2018Positivosquiet location, no trafficNegativosfound nothing in the short stay.Nice clean placeWe were on our way back from France and spent the night there. We really liked the site. The pitches in our area were on a slope, but we had some wooden blocks with us and were able to stand up straight. Very clean site, registration for lunch break, friendly site operator, simple restaurant with nice... service. You can't expect exclusive cuisine, but it is reasonably priced. We will certainly visit Herbolzheim again next time we are passing through.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Elke R.August 2017PositivosQuiet, general cleanliness, nice operator, great locationNegativosVery poor to no cell phone and internet receptionFor several years, always happy to return. We are a couple in our early to late 50s who have been coming to the campsite several times a year for a few years (about 7). The place is absolutely quiet and the sanitary facilities are clean. Even in the main season, when it is super full, the owner family and the cleaning staff are super nice and always on the ball.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Dieter L.August 2017PositivosCleanliness of the sanitary facilitiesNegativos- Poor cell phone receptionNice, well-kept placeStayed at this campsite for 12 days. Well-kept, albeit sometimes steeply sloping pitches of sufficient size. The sanitary facilities were always clean, the toilets took some getting used to (there are no toilet seats). The restaurant on the campsite offers simple but tasty dishes at reasonable prices.... We were surprised to see dogs on the site despite the dog ban in July/August. Mobile phone reception on the site is very poor, if not non-existent (Vodafone).Traduzido automaticamente.
- Wolfgang H.July 2017PositivosA clean, quiet and well laid out campsite. The sanitary facilities are very good and are always in a clean conditionNegativosNoneA very clean campsiteA really very clean campsite with very clean sanitary facilities. The layout of the campsite is very nice. The campsite is in a very quiet location. There is an outdoor swimming pool in the immediate vicinity. It is a pity that the campsite was not rated even better in the ADAC camping guide.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Rainer und Heike B.June 2017PositivosClean, quiet, well-kept site, new sanitary facilities, short walk to EuropaparkNegativoswe'll have another look at the weekend haven't found any yetWe are thrilledWe stayed here for the first time last week and have booked again for next weekend. The site is clean and the owners very friendly. In the restaurant you can eat and drink very well for a fair price. The swimming pool is great, you can get in and out as many times a day as you like for 3 euros. The Europapark is only 40 minutes away by bike. Behind the campsite you can reach the vineyards and go hiking. We can highly recommend the campsite.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Martina I.May 2015PositivosThe location! The peace and quiet!Negativosfor me personally: toilets without toilet seatsGladly again!Nothing to add to the previous ratings; small, very well-kept campsite in a central location for excursions in all directions; parceled out grass pitches; operator very friendly and committed; delicious bread rolls to order in advance; nice outdoor pool right next door; for dog owners: good walking possibilities... right next to the campsite; if you are looking for action, this is the wrong place, but if you want to enjoy peace and quiet after excursions in the region, you've come to the right place!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Wolf H.May 2015PositivosLocation and surroundings, peace and quiet, cleanliness, friendlinessNegativosDifficult radio connection.Clean and friendlyWe were there for three nights over Ascension Day. Very clean site, English lawn, extremely friendly staff and manager. Toilets without glasses - you like it or not. No mirror over the hand washing area. The place in an absolute dead zone. So if you don't want to shop for wifi and have your own network... access, you're in a bad position here. Wonderfully situated on a slope, very quiet. Large and very nice swimming pool right next to it. Very good bread service with great bakery rolls. No bakery waste, as is now common. The surrounding Alsace and Kaiserwstuhl offer many excursion possibilities. Very good cycle network.Traduzido automaticamente.
