- Volker B.May 2024PositivosThe concept was right from start to finish. I can only say thank you very much and I will definitely be back. Even if I'm blaspheming about the constant organic food, because you don't need it, your snoring pigs saved me every night and I fell into my sleeping bag smiling.NegativosNone4 days in campThe place is highly recommended, bring a bag of marbles and enjoy every day. Keep your distance with small children, as you won't be allowed to go anywhere else on vacation.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Michael F.July 2023PositivosBeautiful natural swimming pool, wildflower meadows, personal service, a fountain nest and the breakfast was also great.NegativosIt could have rained a little more at night.Romantic campsiteA beautifully maintained and idyllic camping site, friendly team and very competent and committed management. Interesting art in and around the building.
The Schwurbelnester are highly recommended for newlyweds with postponed declarations of love :)Traduzido automaticamente. - Kevin H.June 2023PositivosNatural outdoor pool, super CP team, piano, bike rental, very new and chic sanitary facilities, organic store and bistro.Negativosdoes not give6 star campsite.A place that deserves 6 stars. Great bistro, very nice showers, I've never had so much space. The pitches are really great and big enough. The natural outdoor pool is a pleasant size, I recommend a swimming ring for the slide.
There is everything you need in the organic and unpackaged store: Bread rolls... and breakfast, lunch and dinner in the bistro, all very sustainable!
There's even a piano for everyone in the well-equipped playroom.
The sanitary facilities are completely furnished to a high standard (including the shower toilet) as unisex facilities, which works great and is worth the 6 stars for us. We have never experienced anything like it.
We were there as a family (kids 2&4) for almost 2 weeks and also talked to young and older couples who were all just as enthusiastic. Really highly recommended.Traduzido automaticamente. - Ulrike K.May 2022Positivos- Nice bistro - Organic equipment in the small shop - you can cycle through the forest to Uelzen - Canadier tours are offered - Eco concept - great washing machines and dishwashing area - lots of shadeNegativos- Unisex showersEverything modernizedWe use this site as an overnight stopover. The reviews from the past should be ignored, because the main building, which also contains the sanitary facilities, is brand new! The new concept is really well thought out.
Unusual: different toilet bowls :-) - for heavy people and for children and a high-tech... toilet...
The unisex concept takes some getting used to... It doesn't matter with the toilets, it was unusual with the showers....but somehow it got "sorted" - so if a man saw a naked older woman who had just changed her clothes, he turned off into the other arm of the room :-) But there was also very little going on in the squareTraduzido automaticamente. - Josef S.September 2021PositivosQuiet location, well thought-out concept, shopping facilities with natural food products, natural swimming pool, good restaurant, very clean sanitary facilities,Negativosnone detectedVery nice place with ecological standardsVery nice site with individual camping "islands" surrounded by trees/shrubs, each with 3-9 pitches.
Very friendly staff. Many thoughtful little things that make the stay pleasant.Traduzido automaticamente. - Andreas S.August 2021PositivosEverything is very well thought out: The tent area is car-free and very quiet from around 10 pm. The main building has unisex sanitary facilities, as everything takes place in locked cabins anyway. Super swimming pond. Very nice small pig enclosure. Great food (organic).NegativosnothingGreat campsite for cycling and children's vacationsI've never come across a campsite with such high-quality planning in terms of sustainability and for families. Normally, every euro I spend on a campsite hurts too much. But this campsite was just great. And despite the high-quality facilities, they said on the phone that there was always a space available for cyclists with a tent. Super!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Roland O.June 2021Positivos?NegativosSantär building: old and neglected. Old doesn't bother me, but mold on the shower walls and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling don't have to be. Adjacent to a residential area, unfortunately with the associated noise: early morning drivers and lawnmowers, etc.Well yesI agree with Jana's review, even though it is already 2 years old. Apparently not much has changed. The old sanitary building should have been renovated a few years ago and the site also looks rather "outdated" in other respects. Even though the new building is due to open soon and the site has received... a number of ECO awards, this cannot hide the obvious shortcomings. As it borders directly on a residential area, it is understandably not particularly quiet.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Raphael G.August 2020PositivosA big advantage is the natural swimming pond with adjacent sand and mud playground. The small selection of animals to look at and vehicles that the children can use is also really great. The small store has just about everything you could need in a hurry. There is a power connection at every pitch so that no long cables have to be pulled. There is a food offer from the operator himself.NegativosThe sanitary building calls for renovation. The shower walls and corners are clearly moldy. What's more. Could something be done about insects etc.? There are a lot of them in the building. The doors to the toilets were difficult to open or close in almost all the cubicles. This is not easy, especially for kids. Cleanliness in general in the showers was a disaster as everyone just walked in with mud and sandy feet/shoes without cleaning them up first. We also found the prices for the food a bit high, but everyone has a different opinion.Generally goodWe don't want to leave the campsite looking bad now. It was really fun for a short time, but unfortunately these are things that leave a mark on you and stay in your head immediately. On the whole, it's actually a top campsite, especially for kids, very nicely designed and with lots of ideas for activities.Traduzido automaticamente.

- Jana N.May 2018PositivosSwimming pool in very hot weather, but water very coldNegativosMaintenance and cleaning required everywhere, risk of accidents due to defective stairs and railings, repeated lack of soap in the toiletsPlace is in need of care, operators seem a bit overwhelmedI can't quite share the generally good reviews of this course. Basically, the site is beautifully laid out. The biggest advantage of the campsite is certainly the swimming pool, which offers a pleasant way to cool off in hot temperatures. It is particularly popular with children and is also used by them... the most. The water in the pool is VERY cold. The entire site is covered with tall oak trees. These provide plenty of shade, although more than necessary in places. Overall, however, the operators seem a little overwhelmed with the site. Even when we made our reservation, the reception couldn't decide on a specific pitch despite the site plan and our longer stay, and we were repeatedly rebooked in advance. We arrived at Whitsun, the time when this site (like many sites inland) is probably the busiest of the year. Nevertheless, we were greeted by unmown meadows and pitches and a broken water tap on the pitch. Other campers also had problems with the water and electricity connections. The whole site gave the impression that no one had mowed, swept or trimmed a few hedges for a long time. The bottom of the pool is green with algae and therefore extremely slippery. Especially in the shallower areas (e.g. on the steps in the 2m pool) you have to be very afraid of falling dangerously. The pools were occasionally cleaned but looked exactly the same afterwards. I found the condition of the children's slide fatal: the staircase to it consists of four wooden steps, three of which had fallen out and were lying on the ground. There were several long, rusty nails sticking out of the sides of each step that had fallen out. This was at a time when the site was already full and many (small) children in particular were constantly climbing up and down the half-dilapidated steps. Presumably due to complaints, the stairs were then repaired, but only on Whit Sunday. I think something like this should be done BEFORE a busy weekend, actually even before the start of the season (Easter, Ascension Day at the latest). There was no water in the baby pool at the beginning. The floor of the baby pool is covered with coarse plastic grids that are painful to walk on. The hand wash basin in the ladies' toilet repeatedly ran out of soap for two days and was only topped up a little at a time, so that it was empty again after half a day... For a few days, the ladies' sanitary was filled with an indefinable but very pungent odor. The plugs were missing from the sinks (dishes). Things were left lying around for days until someone cleared them away (from forgotten towels to used plasters in the shower by the swimming pool). The footbridge to the yurts had not been cleared, the ropes on the railings there had been torn off or were sometimes missing completely. I didn't like the atmosphere in the yurts (on a platform in the swamp) (apart from the fact that the location is not authentic, as yurts are only found in steppe areas...). The guests there probably felt the same way; it was noticeable that they never stayed there except at night to sleep (observed during several guest changes). The sleeping barrels are located in a dark, unattractive corner under oak trees. The tipi (there is only one) is unsightly inside and the floor in the middle is filled with gravel. The rolls you can order for breakfast are those little buns you find in the frozen food section of any supermarket: as soon as they have cooled, they become soggy. Our children have (rightly) criticized the fact that the rabbits are kept INDIVIDUALLY (in small commercial rabbit hutches). There would actually be enough space for a large enclosure for all the animals together, and with appropriate neutering there would be no further problems. It should perhaps also be mentioned that the swimming pool is not only visited by camping guests, but also by children from the village. This is of course not objectionable, but it does lead to a correspondingly increased noise level in the afternoon. I would therefore recommend campers who want peace and quiet all the time to visit a different campsite. Conclusion: You could - and should - make more of the site. At the moment, you get the impression that a lot more work needs to be put into the overall operation of the site. A lot of organic and ecological products are advertised. In my opinion, however, this is not the case if there is a lack of appropriate care, there are considerable risks of accidents, animals are not kept appropriately, there is a constant lack of soap in the toilets and you have to wash your dishes under running water just because the plugs are missing. At the moment, the site gives the impression that its best days are just behind it. Fellow campers who have been going there for many years have reported that the site has deteriorated a lot overall, especially in terms of cleanliness. What a shame, really.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Rolf K.August 2017PositivosFriendliness, competence of the operators, cleanliness, leisure activitiesNegativosseems less suitable for guests with dogsThe finest feel-good placeA generously laid out campsite that offers good options for many interests. The extremely friendly welcome by the competent operating staff immediately puts the guest in a vacation mood and you immediately feel very comfortable here. Unfortunately, dogs don't seem to be very popular. We feel that the... fees are excessive for the fact that there were no services in return (dog shower, exercise area, bag dispenser, disposal options for "leftovers"). Therefore, unfortunately only a good for price-performance and personal overall impression. Nevertheless: For campers without dogs: The best we've seen of the 7 campsites we've visited this summer!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Klaus S.August 2016PositivosNature camping, beautiful pitches on grass, great natural swimming pond, relaxed atmosphereNegativosNoneSmall, fine eco-campsite, that's real campingBeautifully situated in the countryside, on the outskirts of Uelzen. Great for excursions in the eastern Lüneburg Heath or canoe trips. Very close to nature, with a tipi village (friends celebrated their children's birthday there). Consistently ecological, but very charming and not "missionary". Almost... everything is organic in the small store, including the (good!) cappuccino, and all at moderate prices. Platz also organizes canoe tours. We rented bikes (children's bikes also available) and left the car on site to explore the Hundertwasser train station, the old town and the Uelzen city forests (including a beautiful wild animal enclosure with wild boar, deer, totally "cuddly" petting goats, and no entrance fee). Our daughter loved swimming in the natural swimming pond. We will be back!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Dirk M.September 2015PositivosClose to nature, environmental pool, plenty of space and tranquillity, canoe trips possibleNegativostoo far away from home for a long weekend ;-)Very convincing all round and very friendly at the same timeWe were at the campsite with 3 children aged 6-10 years. All 5 of us were very enthusiastic. Well-spaced campsite with enough space and peace and quiet for everyone, nice café, well-stocked store, swimming pool and great opportunities for canoeing. And all this always with a focus on sustainability. And a very family-friendly atmosphere.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sabine G.June 2014PositivosSuper nice operators, beautifully designed swimming pool, many leisure activitiesNegativoswe can't think of anything straight awayGreat place - super operatorWe spent Whitsun here with a larger group. - Elisabeth K.January 2014We spent 5 nights at this campsite in January and can only rate it at this time. We chose this campsite because of the unbeatable price-performance ratio...pitch + 2 adults with dog and electricity 15€ plus 2€ for a 6 year old with ADAC Camp-Card and the proximity to Hamburg. The good reviews also strengthened... our decision. We were the only guests and therefore had a free choice of pitches, which were of course a bit muddy in January. We therefore had the sanitary facilities to ourselves. They were tidy and clean but in an older condition. Sinks and washing machines were also available. The owner couple were very, very friendly and helpful. There was a well-stocked store and bread rolls to order in the morning. Aldi in Uelzen less than 5 minutes away by car. The place itself is on the outskirts, very quiet, very beautiful and idyllic. The swimming pool is definitely the highlight in summer. Hiking and walking trails directly from the campsite with or without a dog... Hamburg is 90 km away, easy to reach.... Lüneburg, Uelzen, the "Schwarze Berge" wildlife park and of course the Lüneburg Heath, which is also beautiful for hiking in January, are also worth seeing. We can recommend the place and look forward to the next time.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Christian B.August 2012Great place, especially for bike/tent vacationers!Traduzido automaticamente.
- Arno P.October 2011We stayed at this site for a long weekend. The pitches are big enough. Our pitch had electricity, water, waste water and cable TV. The groups of pitches are surrounded by tall trees, which prevents the sun from shining in the fall. The sanitary facilities are clean and adequate in the low season. When... fully occupied, the number of toilets and washbasins could be a little too small. The operators are always friendly and happy to provide information. From here you can go on very good bike tours in the surrounding area. In summer, the outdoor pool is definitely a big plus for young people and children. As we were here outside of the vacations, it was very quiet. This is one of the beautiful campsites where you'll be happy to come back.Traduzido automaticamente.
- Sandro L.July 2011Very nicely laid out site with lots of nature and peace and quiet. The swimming pool is great and free! The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy, the men's toilet could be a bit tight when fully occupied. The great thing is the friendly and familiar way in which you are received and treated! The restaurant... is simple but very tasty and everything is made with love. The region is definitely worth a visit. We will come back 100 %! Our best vacation and our little one didn't even want to go home. So just go there and enjoy this beautiful little placeTraduzido automaticamente.
