Entering the water - a bit of mud and some seaweed a few meters, then OK 👍.Quiet north of the Balaton in the reeds 🙂A small pleasant campsite right on the lakeshore next to the road around Balaton. Sometimes you can hear the train going by. Nothing terrible.
There are separate pitches for tents, campers... with a hedge, some trees for shade and electricity within easy reach. 👍
Wi-Fi sufficient.
The campsite is in... the northern and therefore "wilder" part of the Balaton - beautiful tall reeds. Hence a quieter place compared to the lively south. And this is true overall of the northwest of the Balaton.
Entering the water from the banks or via the pier, a bit of mud and some seaweed a few meters away, then OK 👍.
Toilets OK, small shop OK. 👍
Bonus is a small swimming pool with a slide in the area 👍.

We looked at several places on site and direct access to the lake is not a matter of course. The campsite is perhaps a little outdated, but this is not an isolated case on Lake Balaton.
With around 100 pitches, the site is not very large,... but it is very relaxed and informal. If you're looking for rowdy booze tourism, you're in the wrong place.
The sanitary facilities are absolutely adequate in terms of quantity and were always clean. The water in the shower was always hot enough.
There is a small, not very deep pool, but it is absolutely sufficient for cooling off in between. You can also cool off in Lake Balaton, here I recommend bathing shoes as the north shore is very muddy.
In the low season, the breakfast buffet is included in the pitch price. The restaurant is perfectly fine. Otherwise there is a very quaint Hungarian restaurant a few 100m from the pitch, behind the train.
We liked it here so much that we booked again for next year.Tradus automat. - Pieter H.July 2020PlusuriLigging, grote plaatsen, bereikbaarheid, receptie, zwembad, restaurant, sanitair.MinusuriAf en toe wat overlast van een voorbijrijdende trein, muggen na zonsondergang.Prima campingGoed bereikbare ruime camping met mooie rechte grote afgebakende plaatsen. De plaatsen direct aan het meer zijn natuurlijk de mooiste plaatsen. De nummers 50 tot en met 54, 21, 30, 38 en 46 geven de meeste privacy omdat er niemand tussen de plaats en het meer kan doorlopen; de nummers 47 tot en met 49... en nummer 11 hebben wel 'last' van voorbijgangers. Hoe dichter je bij het meer staat hoe minder last je hebt van de af en toe voorbijrijdende treinen. Ook na extreme regenval zijn de meeste plaatsen nog redelijk droog. Het sanitair is prima in orde en wordt goed schoon gehouden, al is het zo schoon als je voorganger het achterlaat. Ruime douchehokken en een goede warme straal; heel af en toe wisselt de watertemperatuur een beetje. Er is een klein voetbalveldje met daarnaast een beachvolleybalveldje. Prima en zeer betaalbaar restaurant met een ruime keuze aan heerlijkheden. Het meer is blubberig en zit hier en daar vol waterplanten; even verder het meer in is goed te zwemmen en anders is er op de camping ook nog een keurig zwembad en een trampoline. Uiteraard staat en valt je vakantiebeleving met het fatsoen van je mede-kampeerders. Onbegrijpelijk hoe sommige mensen je dwingen naar hun 'muziek' te luisteren. Naast deze Duitsers en Nederlanders wordt de camping vooral bezocht door Hongaren en ook Polen. Er hangt verder een goede relaxte sfeer. Vergeet in ieder geval je muskietennet niet want als de zon ondergaat stikt het tijdelijk van de muggen.

Too expensive for the dog.MediocreWe were there for 9 days this summer with our 3 year old son and our dog. For the fact that you have to pay so much for the dog, nothing is offered for him in terms of swimming. Apart from that, I found the instruction and explanation of the infrastructure very limited, so we had to work everything out for ourselves. Anglers were very welcome, but this meant that you could step into fishing hooks while swimming in the lake.Tradus automat.

The pool is checked and cleaned every morning. The sanitary facilities are also kept clean in the morning and as required. We are coming for the 5th time and have booked for next year. The only problem is that when it rains the water doesn't run off on some pitches.... However, this is remedied by the kind help of the campers. The staff are absolutely friendly and attentive. The restaurant on site is a bit expensive by Hungarian standards but the food is also very tasty. It would be nice if the prices didn't rise any further because then it becomes an expensive camping site for several weeks.Tradus automat.

The pool is cleaned every morning at 6-7am. The pool was never cloudy! WC and showers are cleaned from morning until late at night by several cleaning ladies. As soon as the shower cubicles are free, they are mopped. As for the price, everything is included, electricity,... showers as often as you need them, no extra costs! This is my 2nd time here with my family, and my brother-in-law's 5th time with his family and children aged between 6 and 20! Free children's entertainment! Events e.g. Hungarian goulash meal (free of charge) Restaurant is great, prices a bit higher than average, but large pizza that tastes good for 5-6 euros, there's nothing to complain about. Also a large selection of dishes...everything in the 5 to 10 euro range. We all liked it and were always satisfied. We'll be back next year! Good value for money!Tradus automat.

The restaurant is a bit expensive for Hungary, but the food is tasty and delicious. From 22:00 the place is so quiet, just wonderful to sleep. Super pool, cleaned every day! Completely unsuitable for swimming in the lakeThere are definitely more beautiful places on Lake Balaton. If you want to swim in the lake, this is the wrong place. You sink into the mud up to your waist everywhere. However, the small pool area including a children's slide offers the opportunity to swim. You can set off from the campsite by bike... or on foot into the vineyards. There are also a few nice wine bars with a view over the lake. In June, unfortunately, absolute mosquito horror. The camp is quite expensive by Hungarian standards, but a decent breakfast buffet is included.Tradus automat.

The shore parking space was filled with gravel. When the next door pool opens its doors at the weekend, the peace and quiet is over. Swimming is possible if you wear swimming shoes because... of the approx. 20-40cm deep mud at the edge of the bank, as well as at the bathing jetty. The staff are friendly. The biggest mango is that some campers took the right to simply walk over occupied pitches and scolded when the dog barked. We therefore left early because the staff did not change anything. WLAN (Wi-Fi) is also not to be received everywhere on the site, further you need a long cable (min.25m), because the power boxes are too far apart.Heeren-WC were not always the clean ones. Hot water was not available for two days from 8.30 pm, in all it was a failure for us, paid a lot, but the performance was missing.Tradus automat.

Unfortunately we have to leave tomorrow and would like to stay longer. The pool is the higlight for children. The shore area is not quite as nice, but you can easily get into the lake via the jetty. All in all, a great place and great value for money.
