Cleanliness of sanitary facilities Campsite seems restless Friendliness
Vacation in a dreamlike environment
My wife, our dog Max and I stayed at the campsite for 5 days. The first impression was very good, the reception is new and we were given a nice welcome. It was also easy to rebook the pitch.
However, the place seems very restless, as the vehicles are parked on designated pitches, but here they are criss-crossed....
There are 2 sanitary facilities, one of which is being renovated this year. The sanitary facilities are fine, but unfortunately there is a lack of cleaning. Some of the washbasins had not been cleaned for several days.
The staff we met at the resort were unable to greet us, including the manager of the resort, with the exception of the staff at reception or in the adjacent Hias restaurant. We ate in the restaurant once, the pizza was fine, the tiramisu very tasty.
Now we come to the absolute plus point of the campsite, the area. A wonderful path leads along the lake to Strobl. The hiking and cycling possibilities are almost endless.
We were lucky with the weather, so the conclusion is positive. With the new sanitary facilities, perhaps the cleanliness will also improve.

The location directly on the lake is great, but also difficult because it is public and very busy from outside when the weather is nice. The bathers also all go to the front campsite toilets... The second sanitary area is slightly larger, but much too small for the size of the site... The pitches vary greatly in size, but we had the impression that one had been made into two, or two into three. At the weekend the site was fully booked and the cars were close together, all very close together. The two restaurants are super good!

As we arrived in the heavy rain, we asked explicitly whether the lake site was safe and were told that nothing would happen there. The next morning we were standing ankle-deep in water. Nobody was willing to talk to us about moving to another pitch before eight o'clock, even though there was staff there and many guests were already ready to go. We then moved to a dry pitch at the very back, the front pitches were completely flooded up to the second row and it took four days for the water to drain away. According to a permanent camper, nobody really cared....
More appearance than reality

Campsite does not deserve 4 stars in any way
The caravans and motorhomes are packed together like in a sardine tin, making privacy impossible. In some places you can't even park your car. In the sanitary facilities (men) there are showers and toilets in one room, so it happens that you can smell the stench when showering (unworthy of a 4 star place).... The way to the places is so narrow that you can only get there with a lot of effort with a caravan.

I had the impression that they wanted to use the space to the last millimeter.

Great location....
We spent a very nice vacation on a well-kept site in a beautiful area. When the weather is nice, the lake is simply a dream... Beautiful hiking trails which start directly from the campsite (Panoramaweg to Strobl) and St. Wolfgang is within walking distance. The pitches as well as the access to the site... are quite narrow, you should know how much space you need.

The gastronomy was TOP from our point of view....

If we visit Lake Wolfgang again, this campsite will definitely be on our list again.....

The location on the lake is beautiful, the panorama fantastic. We really enjoyed the lake access, ideal for beautiful sunset pictures. Friendly staff and always helpful. Fresh pastries from the bakery every day, very good pizzeria and recommendable restaurant with varied, very good daily specials.

Overpriced store, sanitary area often dirty, especially the washroom, as camping and pizzeria guests have to cross it to get to the toilets. Not enough toilets for all guests. No shelf for the bathing bag at the washbasins. For the slightly higher price, I expected better-maintained and cleaner showers and washing areas - there is definitely still some catching up to do here.
Beautiful place to relax
The location of this campsite is just great, right on the lake and well maintained, but it is a bit cramped. At Easter time at the end of March, the campsite was quite full with lots of families with children, for whom there was a surprise on Easter Sunday. This naturally made it a bit lively and noisy,... but everything was within reason. There are different sizes of pitches with a gravel surface. We had 90m2, so the caravan with awning and car just about fitted on it. Some of the paths are poorly developed. There are two restaurants on site which are recommended. The staff are courteous and helpful. There is a small store with the essentials and a daily selection of fresh bread rolls.
There are two sanitary facilities, which could have been cleaner despite the holidays. At peak times you often had to queue and wait as everything was full. For dogs there is a small beach by the lake and a meadow for playing off-leash.
There are numerous hiking possibilities, we recommend the circular route around the Bürgelstein. From the jetty you have a fabulous view of the mountain panorama, the lake and the towns of St. Wolfgang and Strobl.
Conclusion:
Actually a lovely campsite, just too expensive at peak times.

Great location, super friendly
Great welcome from friendly staff. Unfortunately there was no explanation of the facility. Uncomplicated allocation of pitches (drive there/select, report - pay on departure), well-kept facility in a great location on the lake. Good sanitary facilities - everything available.
The pizzas are awesome, great dough. Will be back again.

The campsite is located in a breathtaking setting. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean. The pizzeria on site serves sensational pizzas.

I had not even hung up on the tel "inquiry", the booking confirmation was already there!!!!
For 30 days!!!
When I had to leave after 10 days due to illness, I was allowed to pay the full amount according to the booking confirmation although I said the departure date was open!
Never again, a pure rip-off!!!

We would like to clarify that we do not offer open departure days in our booking system. All bookings have fixed dates, otherwise there would be significant organizational problems. A flexible... departure would not be logistically feasible in our system and would lead to great inconvenience for us as well as for other guests.

When you made your inquiry, you made a booking for 30 days, which was confirmed immediately. In the event of early departure, including for reasons of illness, we must adhere to the original booking agreement and charge the full amount. This regulation is also clearly described in our booking conditions.

Pitches very close together, long power cables necessary, dog meadow nice, but the fence was totally run down and therefore unfortunately not usable for us.
narrow, but nice place
A visually really great place that has a lot to offer. At second glance, however, it is unfortunately very crowded and the pitches are very close together. We were lucky that we were a bit out of the way thanks to our dog and therefore had more peace and quiet. It is nice that there is a separate area... for dogs to enter the lake, but it is very narrow at the entrance so that you don't have to be careful with 100% compatible dogs. Nevertheless, it is very positive that there is a separate area for dogs. The dog exercise area is also a great idea. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it as the fence was already so dilapidated that ours would have got over it with just a light jump.
Check-in and check-out were quick and very friendly.
The sanitary area is unfortunately a bit cramped, but always clean. (You always have to bear in mind how many people use this area every day and it was always really clean). There were plenty of washing-up facilities and dishwashers were also available on site.

However, the price is higher in relation to the pitch. We would not choose this pitch again.

Average campsite
We usually stay on campsites with much less comfort/luxury and then we wanted to treat ourselves to a luxurious place. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio just wasn't right! Very long walk from the pitch to the bathroom. Not reasonable with small children. Washing machine far too overpriced at... €7 per wash. (Comparison 3€) The toilets stink of urine. Especially for the gentlemen. WLAN is highly advertised, but is very slow! Sauna entry for camping guests very expensive at €22 for 3 hours!
Numerous excursion destinations and very nice near the lake.
However, we will not come back for the price (many additional costs).

Beautiful place with vacation flair
The location of this site is simply superb, the lake right next to the site is a dream. The site itself is well maintained, but everything is very cramped and crowded. It starts at the entrance. If a delivery arrives or someone is just standing there for a short time, you have to wait. At our time in... August, the place was fully booked. A diverse crowd of all ages, many families with children, Dutch, Germans and Austrians.
This naturally makes it very lively and there is a lot of action during the day. There are different sizes of pitches. We had 90m2, which was just right for our camper van with car and awning. Some of the paths are very narrow, pitches by the water very cramped. Unfortunately, our street was not illuminated in the dark, although there were lanterns. There is also a hotel and two restaurants on site, which we can highly recommend. Great attention is paid to regionality and sustainability. The staff in all areas are very friendly and on their toes and there is a small store with the essentials. If you were early enough in the morning, there was a good selection of different bread rolls, pretzels, croissants, etc. The normal bread rolls were not good, flat and dry.
There are two sanitary facilities, but these are downstairs in the main rooms and have no direct windows, only ventilation systems. Therefore it was very dark and sometimes musty. In general, the sanitary facilities could have been cleaner. At peak times you often had to wait, as well as for the dishwashing facilities. There are daily menu promotions in the restaurant/pizzaria and every week there is a small evening program with music.
The campsite is a good starting point for hiking and cycling tours. Nice playground for children of all ages, trampoline and soccer field. Small barn with table tennis, bookcase etc. Dog run and small dog beach, good walking routes from the site with dog. We had heard a lot about the campsite beforehand, it is also the most expensive on the entire Wolfgangsee. We had therefore expected a little more

Little space, but by the lake
We really enjoyed the access to the lake, but there were some compromises in terms of space, cleanliness and facilities. That's why we didn't feel as comfortable as on other campsites. In general, it seemed overcrowded to us, almost overcrowded, with a maximum number of pitches in a small space. For... the high price, we would have expected more well-kept and clean showers and washing areas - there was definitely room for improvement here, which is a shame.

Beautiful campsite
The campsite is right on the beautiful Wolfgangsee, with a nice sunbathing lawn, beach bar and beautiful fruit trees.
The entrance to the campsite is extremely narrow and the stubbornness of some campers and drivers is not very helpful when driving in and out, unless the nice blonde lady (Sonja) regulates... the traffic.
Pizzeria top, staff top, boss and bossess very nice, pitches very very narrow, you must not have any fear of contact. Permanent campers very nice and helpful.
Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were not particularly clean despite cleaning, only floor wiping is a bit poor, you could be more precise.
All in all, we always like it very much and look forward to the fall, when it's not quite so busy.

We spent three days at the campsite.
The location on the Wolfgangsee is great. St. Wolfgang is a 30-minute walk away. Swimming is possible via a jetty. It is advisable to bring bathing shoes as the lake is full of stones. The pitches in the first and second row are far too small and you have to cuddle... up to your neighbor. Is this compatible with fire safety? Very questionable. There is also a surcharge for the pitches in the first and second rows. There was a drain on our pitch that was blocked with stones.
A tip at reception was skillfully ignored. The water connection could not be used directly as there was only one tap for several users. The sanitary facilities are ok, but not enough for my liking. Wellness area 22€ for 3 hours extra. SUP 10€/hour. The restaurant is very good. Nice, courteous service and super tasty food. The kitchen remained cold and we indulged in Austrian specialties. There is also a pizzeria. But we didn't use it.
Conclusion: The place can really be made into something. Less
is often more. Too bad.

The site is located directly on a busy road, depending on the pitch, considerable road noise is to be expected. "Comfortable 100 sqm pitches" .... Paths and pitches very narrow!
Attention, small seats!

- Damp sanitary facilities, ventilation system capacity insufficient.
Reception and store for bread rolls only open from 8 a.m.
- Entrance to the sanitary facilities at the garbage area, no privacy screen

The campsite is very well maintained and is ideally located directly on Lake Wolfgangsee. You can go on many hiking excursions from there (e.g. Schafberg, Schwarzensee). The restaurants are highly recommended and the staff are always friendly. Bread rolls and "the essentials" can be bought on site. The sanitary facilities are also well equipped and clean. We felt very comfortable.

I was very satisfied all round. TOP organized and uncomplicated. Staff all very friendly and very committed. Keep up the good work!
Although everything was already quite fully booked, they made an effort for me. So I only got something for 3 nights. After that I was able to change pitches. Everything... was totally uncomplicated and motivated.
In my opinion, the sanitary facilities were clean and in good condition. One more hook in some of the shower cubicles wouldn't be bad. But otherwise everything was great and comfortable. Also excellent gastronomy offers on site - pizzaria and regional "Schmankerlstub'n". Everything was very tasty and the service was excellent.
The campsite itself naturally has a dream location directly on the eastern shore of Lake Wolfgangsee. And what I think is great is that there are mostly medium-sized trees on the pitches, which also provide shade depending on the location and you are not completely exposed to the blazing sun.
All of this at a fair price-performance ratio - please keep it up!

Super campsite in a beautiful location. Staff all super friendly. Sanitary facilities large and clean.
Great leisure facilities even in winter - ski area nearby with ski bus and great walking opportunities.
Small store also open in the low season - baked goods were available to order in advance and worked great.
