- Theo N.May 2019PlusuriClose to UtrechtMinusuriNot available for reservations. Couldn't do that by phone. Had to go through the mail. And there was no response.bookingI asked for reservations via email. The response was that the administrators work and cannot respond within 24 hours. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to receive anything at all after that response so we refrained from visiting this campground.Tradus automat.

- Klaus N.September 2017PlusuriFriendly, convenient location to the city. Clean wash house, price much too cheap.MinusuriUnfortunately a lot. A building siteA treasure that urgently needs to be unearthed. Tackle it !!!First impression: I'm leaving again. Second impression: stop and have a look at the place. Result: "a treasure". Unfortunately, unfortunately buried under a heavy load. The young lady at the registration desk was very friendly (really). Sanitary facilities in a large container and very clean. The pitches... are paved. Tent pitches on grass or something similar. A small lake with ducks and more. +++ Now it comes: Construction fencing, ruined buildings, stacked concrete parts, vacation cottages that have been under construction for some time, unkempt grass areas. A former hall without walls and roof, a thick tree in the middle, probably used to be a restaurant. Wild growth everywhere +++ Too bad, just a hidden treasure with its great location to the city. Price much too cheap 14,- St/2P/. Shower 7 min/ -,50 EUR.Tradus automat.
- Susanne B.July 2014cheap but run-downThis place could be beautiful, it has a lovely lake (unfortunately with a crumbling jetty on which a dead fish lay for several days), lots of greenery and trees. But it is a construction site with a standstill. The sanitary building is newer and good for the price level. The staff are friendly and helpful and the children were happy about the free-range hares. But please just clean the place of the dead animals and mow the lawn is not too much.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Budget Camping Utrecht August 26, 2014I'm sorry if there was a dead fish, but you could report that to the staff and the campsite was sold last year. The new owner is going to renovate the whole campsite, but unfortunately this is only possible during the winter months. Last winter a lot has been demolished and in the coming winter the construction of a new restaurant and reception will continue, so it is now budget camping and it is cheap.Tradus automat.
- Stefan H.June 2014The best campingI was there in June 2014! If you are looking for a place for motorhomes in Utrecht, you are in good hands there. Nature in the middle of the city! Peace StefanTradus automat.Răspuns de la Budget Camping Utrecht August 29, 2014Thank you Stefan, and see you next yearTradus automat.
- Andreas V.August 2013A great place, very nice people, perfect for motorhomes, spacious areas, beautiful surroundings with lake, trees, brilliantly close to Utrecht. Top price for a site close to the city! Motorhome with 2 people without electricity, water, showers 12 € per night. That's what pitches sometimes cost in Germany. Great! Highly recommended. Andreas August 2013Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Budget Camping Utrecht September 7, 2013Many thanks, Mr. vom Kolke, also for the registration of our Budget Camping Utrecht on the Campersite!
Greetings and hope to see you next year.
Ingrid, Budget Camping Utrecht, HollandTradus automat. - Krisse V.July 2013The location of the pitch is ideal and was therefore the main argument for my choice of pitch alongside the price. The staff are extremely friendly, and the cordial tone was already noticeable when we contacted them by email. There are currently no pitches, we pitched right next to the lake. Apart from... us, there were a maximum of 10 other campers there in high season... Also strange: at the entrance area there is a large, dilapidated, empty building (in which there is also a fairly new, clean sanitary complex...), in addition to the large tourist camping area there is also a large area with chalets, some of which are also very dilapidated and empty. After researching on the internet, I found out that the site had a not very glamorous history under a different owner, but in the recent past a lot of the old buildings were torn down and a new sanitary complex was built. Under new ownership, the whole thing has only been running since June 2013. The plan is probably to centralize all the chalets on one site, demolish the old building at the entrance and build a restaurant by the lake, so the campsite is currently in a transitional phase. What do I expect from a campsite that calls itself "budget camping"? A pitch, clean toilets and showers. That's exactly what I got, plus free Wi-Fi and always a warm smile and the feeling of being welcome. It was incredibly relaxing there! There are lots of (presumably wild) cats running around the site, 3 geese are the boss on the lakeshore and there are some pedigree rabbits living wild on the site, which someone must have abandoned. All the animals are very trusting (the geese are even very pushy when it comes to food ;)) and live peacefully side by side. I liked that. It was the strangest, but also the most relaxing place I've ever been to and I can recommend it to anyone who doesn't value bread service, stores and entertainment. I'll be back in a year to see what has changed.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Budget Camping Utrecht July 30, 2013Thank you Kriessie, and we hope to see you again next year.

Budget Camping UtrechtTradus automat. - Gordon D.July 2013The place is good - but only at second glance. According to our research, it has an eventful history and was considered neglected. Since June 2013, it has had a new owner who wants to completely rebuild and renovate the site. We were there in July 2013 and experienced a kind of transitional phase. Dilapidated... chalets, play equipment and swimming pools have been removed and some rooms are closed. There are currently several unparceled meadows, the reception and a fairly new sanitary building. There is no more infrastructure, some old buildings are still unused and consequently the site is currently operating as a "budget campsite". The first visual impression is not the best. Nevertheless, we felt at home for three days - for several reasons: The location is fantastic, very quiet in the middle of the park and right next to a small lake, but only a few minutes from the center of Utrecht. Utrecht is a beautiful, vibrant city with a typical Dutch city center. All of the country's major cities are within easy reach, such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, etc. You are free to choose where you want to sit on the site - shady or sunny or right on the shore. However, you should be aware that the geese near the lake have the right of domicile and like to scrounge bread and leave droppings. The site cat "Twinkle" co-exists peacefully with rabbits. We enjoyed absolute peace and quiet - due to the location of the site, but also due to the fact that there were hardly any guests. The sanitary building is cleaned several times a day and the facilities are quite new. Showers cost 50 cents/10 minutes (cold water flows free of charge at all times), whereby a credit is loaded onto a key and any remaining amount is paid out at the end. The staff are perfect. We received an individual response to our email inquiry in advance and were even advised of traffic obstructions in the city afterwards. We wrote in Dutch and received a reply in German. The friendly lady at reception is there from early to late, always in a good mood, always smiling and ready to help. We really felt like welcome guests. As I said, the first impression was not good, but many factors were good. You also have to look at the price: 15 euros for a car/caravan/2 adults/electricity is a ridiculous price by Dutch standards, especially in the middle of the city. You get a pitch on the meadow and a power socket and a smile, but no luxury, no bread service, no luxury showers and you also see buildings that are getting on in years. It can be assumed that the pitch will be considerably more expensive once it has been renovated. Anyone looking for a classy ambience and perfect lawns should go elsewhere until then. If you want to camp cheaply and are looking for a central starting point for exploring the Randstad, this is the place for you.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Budget Camping Utrecht July 30, 2013We thank you very much and hope to see you next year!
