- Reinhard F.June 2018PlusuriQuiet location lots of spaceMinusuriShowers too hotGood for visiting Taomina and Mount EtnaWe like the non-parceled pitch. It's simple but adequate and clean. However, there's nothing going on now in mid-June. We made two excursions. One by scooter to Taomina and the other to Mount Etna. In Taomina I can recommend the highest restaurant Al Saraceno under Taormina Castle. Very good food main... course 15€ but also pizza. With a fantastic view of Mount Etna. If you want to climb Mount Etna, just go to Etna Norte. You can book tours directly there. We were at 2800m with Jeps and guide for 60€ per person https://www.etnamobility.com/.Tradus automat.
- Wolfgang S.August 2017PlusuriGood location for excursionsMinusuriNot the ideal place for sea lovers; price-performance ratio not quite rightStopover campsitePerfect for a few days. The distance to the sea is not great for a campsite, so not suitable for swimmers and water rats. However, the site is suitable for excursions in the surrounding area. Such as Etna. The staff are friendly and helpful, there's nothing wrong with them. The sanitary facilities could definitely be kept in better shape.Tradus automat.
- Lo B.May 2016MinusuriunkemptSimple but expensiveA very mediocre place with clearly overpriced prices. Suitable for a short stop at best.Tradus automat.
- Andrea T.August 2015Plusurilocation, cleanlinessClean and well maintainedThe campground is only 450 m from the sea in a quiet location. The facilities, while not brand new, are well-maintained and clean. Hot showers are free of charge. There is also a small store for necessities. The staff is friendly and helpful.Tradus automat.
- Ulf D.October 2013Sufficiently large pitches with partial shade; sanitary facilities in order; good starting point for visiting Etna and Taormina (bus connection directly in front of the campsite if booked in advance); distance to the sea and beach 600m; restaurant closed in October; dogs can sometimes be heard barking in the rear part of the campsite;Tradus automat.
- Dobes M.July 2012PlusuriLocationSan Marco, Campeggio AlmoetiaQuite a nice campsite, the facilities were not state of the art, but slightly above average by Sicilian standards. Camping pleasant, a lot of greenery compared to other campsites in Sicily, good location for trips to the surrounding area (Taormina, Etna..). The cantina at the campsite was poorly stocked, at most you could buy popsicles.Tradus automat.
- Reto F.October 2011This campsite is open all year round. Well suited for excursions to Taormina and around Mount Etna. There is plenty of space in the low season. Unfortunately, contrary to the information in the camping guide, the restaurant on site was closed. Bread rolls for breakfast can still be ordered. View of Mount Etna, a pleasant place at this time of year.Tradus automat.
- Roland M.April 2010Quite decent sanitary facilities by Sicilian standards. Beautiful pitches. Restaurant also open in the low season. Bus to Taormina directly in front of the campsite.Tradus automat.
