- Lilian F.May 2024PlusuriGood connection by train to Palermo! A feel-good place to stand under olive trees.MinusuriI don't find any disadvantages on the campsite. Maybe that the sanitary facilities are getting on in years but always clean.Feel goodThis campsite is very well run and the information in the evening is excellent. You can feel at home here. Unfortunately there is a lot of garbage on the rocks outside the campsite. The campsite itself is great, they put their heart and soul into it!Tradus automat.
- Jens B.April 2024PlusuriVery well-kept place, German-speaking operators. Received lots of useful information. Very clean toilets and showers, large pitches. Kiosk and restaurant available. Highly recommended. The place is lovingly decoratedMinusurikelneThe seagull tamerIt was a wonderful stay with you, will recommend you to others
Grazie MilleTradus automat. - Marion K.July 2023PlusuriGood sanitary area, small store & small restaurant on site, direct seafront location, sandy beach just a few minutes' walk awayMinusuriVery many mosquitoesgood campsiteGood campsite near Palermo; sea & beach directly on site; very good trattoria in the village; the sanitary facilities are fine; the staff is friendly & speaks all languages; own small dog meadow on site; for us the only big disadvantage was that it was swarming with mosquitoesTradus automat.
- Manuela R.September 2018PlusuriFor tents: sandy bottom to stay dry even when it rains; the wonderful arrangement among the olive trees; the barbecue.MinusuriNone.camping among the olive treesNice campsite among olive trees, well equipped and with a bottom that absorbs rain well without creating mud. The reception is excellent, the bathrooms are in good condition and clean. The facility has a small market and a bar where meals can also be had. The pitch area has communal barbecues, and if... you had forgotten something to cook, there are small boxes that collect condiments left by guests (pepper, salt, parsley, etc.) to make them available to everyone. The hot shower works on a token basis. It is great as a base for sightseeing, exploring the nature reserves of the northern coast of Sicily and archaeological sites in the area.Tradus automat.
- Stephan B.August 2018Plusurigood location friendlyMinusuriBeach too expensiveOK - but too expensiveThe location is of course good for exploring Palermo. There is also no alternative. The two sisters are nice and helpful - no question. The restaurant has a great red wine and the guy is nice. But the beach is rocky and the camping is just too expensive.Tradus automat.
- Barbara G.June 2018PlusuriGreat beach very quiet free choice of placesBeautiful spacious placeBeautiful place with the best beach in Sicily, quiet location with somewhat complicated accessTradus automat.
- Reinhard F.May 2018PlusuriQuiet, close to the cityMinusuriNot a nice beachExcellent for visiting PalermoVery well-kept place, German speaking, in about 20 minutes you are in Palermo, guarded parking lot is at the port by the cruise ships. Surroundings are not so nice and also no nice beachTradus automat.
- Barbara & Rudi O.May 2018PlusuriVery good information for Palermo sightseeing, very friendly, pleasant atmosphere on siteMinusuriNo beach (for those looking for a beach vacation)Best option for Palermo sightseeingVery good information about arrival, sightseeing in Palermo including maps and sketches, very knowledgeable and friendly, even if the ferry arrives late (which is apparently common with GNV - terrible organization) you are welcomed in a friendly manner and get a place, you can change the next day, even... the restaurant would have been open (9.15 pm) Sanitary everything you need is there, not quite new but very clean and well maintained (have now gained experience). The food is also very good, good selection and the grocery store is also well stocked. There are more restaurants and cafes in the village. The pitches are large enough, shady and well laid out, all in all we were very satisfied!Tradus automat.
- Stepsel H.July 2017PlusuriNice staff, clean sanitary facilities, good connection to PalermoMinusuriNone for us.Place for sightseeing tour PalermoWe chose the site for a short stay with a visit to Palermo. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but were always clean! The ladies at reception were super nice and always give an information session about Palermo in the evening, which was very informative. There is a small store with the essentials... and fresh pastries for breakfast. For the first attempt after the ferry crossing and for sightseeing in Palermo, the campsite is highly recommended!Tradus automat.
- Béatrice K.May 2017PlusuriGood starting point for excursions. Quick walk to the village.MinusuriUnfortunately no beach directly at the campsiteGood campsite for excursionsBeautifully maintained campsite with lots of olive trees. Small to large pitches. Friendly reception, partly multilingual. Many excursions (towns, sights etc.) can be made from here. Tips are available at reception. We will definitely go there again. We stayed at the campsite for 3 weeks in May.Tradus automat.
- Wendelin H.May 2017Plusuri-Location to Palermo - Friendliness of the owners - small bistroMinusuri- Sandy beach 300 m awayVery well suited as a starting point for a PALERMO / Monreale tourThe campsite is very easy to reach from the ferry port. The owner let us into the campsite at 10.30pm despite the ferry being very late. The food in the small bistro was very good. All our questions were answered in German and additional suggestions were given. The approach after the highway was explained to us in detail in advance, as the navigation system usually recommends a much more awkward approach.Tradus automat.
- Richard M.April 2017PlusuriSupport from the operatorsSmall campsite on a coastal road with little trafficGood place to visit Palermo, but the railroad line is currently closed (1 year). Rail replacement service by bus to the metro in Palermo and then by metro to the center, all this is explained in detail by the operators (2 sisters) to the guests in German or English, providing a map. The site and its... facilities are in excellent condition. Breakfast pastries can be ordered in advance, in the evening there is a small bar with some dishes. The village of Isola delle Femmine is also very cozy.Tradus automat.
- Peter S.June 2016PlusuriVery suitable for visiting Palermo. Excellent multilingual informationMinusuriSandy beach 200m awayNice place, very suitable for visiting Palermo.Non-parceled pitch, separated from the rocky beach by a road. Very suitable for visiting Palermo. 15-minute walk to the train station. Excellent multilingual information about the city and tickets available at reception. Sanitary facilities very clean for Sicily. Price for 2 people in June 2016: ACSI 17€Tradus automat.
- Gabriele E.September 2015PlusuriNot far from Palermo. Easy to reach by public transportIdeal for a trip to PalermoThe very friendly owner gave me valuable tips for my stay in Palermo, such as parking options, safety and places of interest.Tradus automat.
- Bianka V.April 2015PlusuriTrain connection to PalermoGood place to visit PalermoThe campsite is beautifully situated between a mountain range and the sea. However, this is only accessible via rocks. The sandy beach is in the neighboring village of Capaci. The campsite itself is well signposted and can be reached via the center of Isola delle Femmine. The access road is by no means... narrow, but if the roads are blocked (especially at lunchtime) it can be difficult. The reception was friendly but firm. They insist on compliance with the rules and market themselves well. You have the option of having pizza or chicken delivered. The information about the Palermo excursion is really well prepared. There are tips and maps. Train tickets are available at reception. The hot showers (50 cents for 4 minutes) are advertised on a large board as a special offer. Once the cabin is selected, there are 10 seconds until the water and shower time start to run. The toilets have no glasses and there is no paper. The chemical toilet can be emptied right next to the sinks. Conclusion: Good place for a Palermo visit or for arrival/departure.Tradus automat.
- M. D.July 2014Good location of the campsite if you arrive in Palermo by ferry.Good starting point for sightseeing in Palermo. The train station is a 10 minute walk away. From there you can easily take the train (tickets are available at the reception) directly to the chaotic city centerTradus automat.
- Sigrid K.May 2014PlusuriWell located for Palermo visitsIdeal CP for Palermo visitsWe've been to this place several times, as it's simply brilliant for a visit to Palermo. Andrea was again very helpful and gave us lots of tips. The food and wine were good again and the owner of the restaurant has changed a lot since our last visit, he has become quite talkative. We had a very nice chat with him.Tradus automat.
- Gherardo G.August 2013PlusuriThe location of the campground makes it easy to visit multiple locations located in the area.MinusuriLittle free beach present in the place except for stretches of cliffs. Country somewhat poor in activity.Relaxingthe campground turns out to be very clean, with helpful and friendly staff. The pitches are spacious and shady, there is a market where you can buy various products and have breakfast. There are both cold, free and outdoor showers) and hot, coin-operated showers. The place is strategic to be able to... visit all the surrounding areas, in the country we did not find many activities and therefore we preferred to go often to Palermo. The sea is clear and warm, in August the beaches are very crowded so it is difficult to find free beach but there are equipped lidos. Overall an excellent vacation.Tradus automat.
- Oliver F.May 2013We were surprised by the good campsite due to the rather mediocre comments. The sanitary block is no longer the newest, but it is clean and spacious. You need a token to shower (€0.50 for 5 minutes) which is not unusual here in Sicily. The pitch is definitely fine for a few days. You stand under olive... trees on slightly stony, sandy ground. Fresh bread rolls are available to order from the mini market. Good starting point for a visit to Palermo, as the train station is 15 minutes away. There is brief information at the campsite, including where to buy tickets. Please note: As is often the case on smaller campsites, reception is not always open (closed 13:30-16:30)Tradus automat.
- Rolf K.April 2013Due to the late arrival of the ferry, our problem with correctly interpreting the navigation system's information in Palermo and the one-way street system in Isola de Femmine, which was opaque to the navigation system, we didn't arrive at the campsite until around 9:30 p.m., but were greeted in a friendly... manner and in German. Due to a group of registered motorhomes that arrived after us and were brought forward at reception, we were only able to set up the caravan in the dark at 22:30. We were given excellent information about our visit to Palermo at reception. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. There was only lukewarm water for washing up and at the showers. We could only walk our dog on a beach path parallel to the road in front of the campsite, where there were lots of ugly piles of garbage. The campsite is quite conveniently located for visiting Palermo and Monreale - we also visited Cefalu from here by car.Tradus automat.
