- Waltraud W.April 2022PlusuriThe friendliness and location are excellent.MinusuriCramped and the sanitary facilities would certainly be more inviting if modernized.Camping SpartacusWe were satisfied despite minor shortcomings and will be back again this year for Easter.Tradus automat.
- Raimund H.April 2019PlusuriLocation to Pompei and Vesuvius Nice little shady placesMinusuriAlmost cold shower No toilet paper and no soap Parked cars of day touristsNice place with parked cars and almost cold showerStayed here for one night in April and visited Vesuvius and of course Pompei. Campsite is quite nice with small shady spots with orange trees. More than half of the site was occupied by parked cars. Youth groups also stay here in the mobile homes. The shower had a maximum temperature of 30 degrees and... that was far too cold in April (13 degrees). There was also no toilet paper or soap. Only cold water for washing up. We went to Vesuvius by car to the top, where you could park next to the road. For the entrance fee and the 30 minute walk you pay 10€/person. Car free of charge. Pompei was then not as cheap - but bigger than we thought. We had 4 hours and couldn't see everything.Tradus automat.
- Karsten N.July 2018PlusuriProximity to PompeiMinusuriSometimes very loudTop for PompeiSituated directly opposite the entrance to Pompei, the pitches are perfectly adequate as you only pass by briefly to visit Pompei. I wouldn't stay here for 2 weeks either.sanitary facilities are perfectly fine for southern Italy.FREE WIFI.dogs allowed.pool.earn money on part of the site as a day parking lot.therefore a lot of noise on the site very early in the morning.Tradus automat.
- Sybille W.September 2017PlusuriGreat location, nice staff, hot showers and free WiFi.MinusuriLoud: train, road. AntsIdeal for visiting PompeiiMy whole family couldn't understand the sometimes very bad reviews. Yes, the pitches are small - but sufficient, everyone only comes here for a short time. We were allowed to park our car on another pitch next door at no extra charge. There are hot showers and WiFi for free and the sanitary facilities... are no worse than anywhere else in southern Italy. I think it's normal for a campsite in such a central location to have a certain noise level. But no annoying animation in the evening :)Tradus automat.
- Antonio F.August 2017PlusuriGreat for archaeological visits or to NaplesFor Pompeii and beyondNeat campground with facilities in place. Excellent for visiting Pompeii excavations which are a 5 minute walk away. Also in a moment's walk to the train station for Naples (duration 40 min-every 30 minutes or so), Herculaneum, Sorrento... Other comments mention noisy camping, but I disagree; sure it is close to roads and railroad, but nothing dramatic.Tradus automat.
- Erwin G.June 2017PlusuriHighway exit, Pompei excavations, VERY friendly and helpful staffMinusurinoisy but normal for a campsite in the middle of the cityGreat location for PompeiHighway exit, excavations Pompei, VERY friendly and helpful staff loud but normal for a campsite miten in the cityTradus automat.
- R.F.P. S.June 2017PlusuriClose to the ruins of Pompei. These are across the road. Closer is not conceivable. Close to Versuvius.MinusuriPlumbing is not very clean. It has gotten a little better, though.Messy campsite. The plumbing is not in the best shape. Taps, etc. are covered with lime, because little is done to clean. Otherwise it is a nice campsite but the owner will really have to pay more attention to the maintenance. On 01-07-2017 I visited the campsite again. It has become slightly better.Tradus automat.
- Klaus M.April 2017PlusuriDirectly opposite the excavations in Pompeii Very friendly staff Fast internetMinusuriSuper loud, impossible to sleep, no sleep even with earplugs.Peace and quiet like at the Irschenberg service area, but opposite PompeiThe positives first. The staff are super friendly, the campsite is directly opposite the excavations of Pompeii, so it's great for sightseeing, and the internet access is super fast. Despite everything, we can't really recommend the campsite. A vacation at the Irschenberg freeway service area is more... relaxing. Sleep is out of the question as the site is surrounded by the railroad and busy roads. The pitches are also too small for a caravan. At €37 for two people + caravan, and that at the beginning of May, it's also a bit expensive. So it's better to spend the night at Solfatara, for example, and then drive there to visit the sights or go to Sorrento and take the train to Pompeii.Tradus automat.
- Przemysław K.August 2016Plusuriproximity to the monuments of PompeiiMinusurismall plots, laughing pool worthNothing specialVery small plots, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities does not knock down, the pool is rather a pumped-up toy for children. WiFi throughout the grounds. Bar on site.Tradus automat.
- Gudrun M.July 2016PlusuriVery friendly and accommodating, perfect location, sanitary facilities okay for southern ItalyMinusuriNot recommended for longer staysPerfect CP for visiting Pompeii and VesuviusWe stayed at the campsite for 1 night in July with three motorhomes. Our inquiry email the day before was answered immediately. Although the pitches were very small, they are sufficient for visiting the excavations directly opposite. However, you probably won't plan a longer stay here. Sanitary facilities... old but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Although we didn't leave until 14:30 on the day of departure, we didn't have to pay for another day. Pizzeria available on site, but we didn't try it. The place was clean, which is amazing when you look at the surroundings.Tradus automat.
- René H.May 2016PlusuriAccess to Pompei within walking distance. Vesuvius approx. 30 min drive away. Short distances. Train connection to NaplesMinusuriNo mini market on the square. Or not a good selection.Very good location with train connectionSmall, manageable campsite right at the entrance to Pompei. Train station next door with a direct connection to Naples. (40min) Large supermarket nearby. Guided Vesuvius tours are also offered. Unfortunately the barrier system did not work properly during our stay.Tradus automat.
- Ellen M.January 2016PlusuriLocation to Pompeii Arrival and departure 24 hour securityMinusuriNoise from the railroad line, which subsides at night.PompeiiThe campsite is located in the immediate vicinity of the excavations. There are no other leisure facilities. The location close to the highway is also very good, so there is no city traffic. The site is guarded 24 hours a day.Tradus automat.
- Alan W.August 2015PlusuriThe only site near the ruins with a swimming pool ( small ) but adequate, and enough shade.MinusuriPossibly the noise, but tollerable, when so near the ruins.Handy for Ruins, no problemsOwner is a pleasant man, very helpful. We had no problems, looking at all the other campsites that were within walking distance of the ruins, this was the best.
- Maria R.May 2014PlusuriGood locationMinusurilittle to offerGood locationA good starting point to visit some of the places worth seeing nearby. But even at the campsite there are no attractions other than sanitary facilities! We were there in May and everything was too restaurant, supermarket, bar.... nothing there. No playground for children. The water for showers was already... cold at 6pm. And even the sanitary facilities were not really inviting, rather disgusting... well, I don't think you'll find anything better in the area, so we put up with it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The connection to the highway is great, you don't have to drive around to get out of Pompei, the exit to the highway is right in front of you!Tradus automat.
- Thomas P.December 2013Camping in Dec 2013. excellent location opposite the excavations. Unfortunately everything closed in Dec. No mini market, no restaurant, no bar. Stayed for 3 days in a small rental caravan. Very cold at night despite heating. Cleaning probably also closed in winter. staff very friendly and helpful. Good knowledge of English.Tradus automat.
- Plamen P.September 2013A small relatively cheap (camper+2 - 17 euro, bungalow 25 euro) camping with a good location within the town. In Pompeii. 200m - railway station, entrance to the ruins. Centre - 1 km. Carfour shop 200m. Nearby there are several pizzerias. The staff is polite, speaks English.Tradus automat.
- Roberto B.August 2013Very kind and helpful. Ideal for visiting the ruins and Naples.Tradus automat.
- Kleine P.August 2012Very nice staff, clean sanitary facilities, small store, clean pool with lots of chlorine, small restaurant on site that you should definitely use the pizzas are very tasty and the staff is riictig friendly.Pompeii is directly opposite and Vesuvius is 15 minutes away. Tip very early there the Vesuvius opens at 9.00 o'clock otherwise you have a parking problem!!!Tradus automat.
- leonardo m.October 2011iThe campground is in an excellent location for getting around by public transportation.300meters away is the circumvesuviana train station, which takes you to Sorrento in a short time and from which hydrofoils to Capri and Amalfi depart. The excavations are in front of the campground .The sanctuary is about a kilometer away. Lack of shower facilities. Lack of a small sink in the toilets.Tradus automat.
- Ute K.September 2011Well-kept CP, excavation as well as train and bus to Vesuvius very close, shopping approx. 5 min. sanitary i.O., service very friendly, unfortunately train traffic disturbs the peace a bit. Would camp there again.Tradus automat.
