" - 2010: Very idyllic site with a beautiful mountain panorama and friendly operators. Very quiet site, as you are only allowed to drive onto it briefly(!) to park or collect your caravan. The ground is not very suitable for camping as it is very damp and earthy. The main sanitary "house" was an old army sheet metal building, in which all the noises from showers/toilets/etc are audible everywhere inside. However, it is very clean and everything you need is there. The new sanitary building at the end of the site was locked. Likewise the outdoor pool. Shopping facilities are only available in the village center about 1km away. Incidental information: The neighboring village of Entracque is a mountain village worth seeing! Change 2013: There are now rental bikes, free WLAN internet and a small new children's climbing frame. Although the site is more suitable for motorhomes, we also like to come here with a tent. The pitches are mostly shady. And: the site is now well frequented, so it has become a little noisier.

Profil

The Valle Gesso campsite is located in the municipality of Entracque, in the province of Cuneo, in southern Piedmont, at the foot of the ‘Natural Park of the Alpi Marittime’ and a few kilometres from the French border. Valle Gesso …is situated in a sunny and panoramic position at the foot of the imposing Maritime Alps and extends over 47,000 square metres. The village of Entracque is only 800 metres away and can be easily reached on foot or by bike along a cycle path. The campsite offers 200 pitches suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, including larger ones. For those who love holidays in nature but do not have the appropriate camping equipment, our inviting chalet mobile homes are available. The Valle Gesso campsite has two toilet blocks, swimming pools, a bar, a minimarket, a playground, table tennis, billiards, a football pitch, a volleyball court, a boccia court, a large barbecue area and internal parking spaces. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the campsite. The bar has a TV, a small library and a mini-market where you can buy the essentials (open in July and August). The town of Entracque has a wide range of shops. Your four-legged friends are also very welcome; there is a path along the nearby Gesso River where they can run and play with their owners. Unfortunately, it is not possible to accommodate pets in the rental accommodation. Valle Gesso campsite is the ideal place for a holiday with children and teenagers, who can do what they love most: playing outdoors, running, swimming, making new friends and discovering new games. The campsite offers plenty of space and entertainment. There is a swimming pool where you can play and swim, a football pitch and a volleyball court, billiards and table tennis, as well as swings for the little ones. The new playground, with wooden slides, climbing frames, tunnels and a lookout tower, is perfect for 5- to 12-year-olds. The bike hire service, in partnership with the Alpi Marittime Nature Park, also takes the little ones into account. There are bikes, helmets and seats specially designed for children. During the winter season, courses for children are held at the nearby alpine and cross-country ski resorts.
