- Wilhelm H.September 2023PlusuriVery friendly and helpful operators Large pitches Good restaurant Good walking routes for dogs Bread roll service with crispy bread rolls No closed barrier Very clean sanitary facilitiesMinusuriVery tall trees on the west side provide shade, but severely restrict satellite reception for the pitches in front.Great little campsiteGreat little campsite with very nice and helpful owners and staff.
The campsite has no closing times, only the reception is closed at times.
The sanitary facilities are not new, but always very clean.
Very good traditional restaurant.
Bread roll service "crispy bread rolls at last".
Good exercise facilities... for dogs.
Good place to stay overnight.
From the CP you can explore the Rhine and Nahe very well.
There is a good winegrower in the village with wine tasting and sales.Tradus automat. - Mario W.October 2022PlusuriSuper hiking trails, few children (October), very nice open operators, large pitches, suitable for passing throughMinusuriI could not recognize any disadvantagesSuper campsiteWe felt very comfortable here. The owner couple is very nice and open-minded. There is a road nearby, but it doesn't bother us. Just across the river and you can walk very well. If we are in the area again, we will head straight for the campsite. To the owner couple: We wish you all the best and stay as you are. LG Family W.Tradus automat.
- Dagmar G.May 2022PlusuriQuiet and cozy, ideal starting point for hiking, bus stop on siteMinusuriNoneVery nice campingFriendly operators, simple but very clean sanitary facilities, large pitches in a beautiful area, well-organized bread roll service, delicious food - menu is still being expanded. We felt very comfortable and will be back.Tradus automat.
- Mario R.October 2021PlusuriWe only stayed here for one night and were given a very friendly welcome by the owner couple. We had dinner in the campsite bistro and the huge schnitzel was super tasty in huge portions. We felt very comfortable and ordered breakfast for the next morning.MinusuriCould not find any disadvantages!A quiet, idyllic place on the banks of a riverSpacious areas, clean sanitary facilities, delicious food in the bistro with huge portions. Very friendly operator couple.
Will definitely be back again. Great location near the A61 and yet very quiet and idyllic location on a stream.Tradus automat. - Norbert L.September 2021PlusuriNot far into the Rhine Valley, the Soonwald, Hunsrück, Nahe Valley - everything around the corner, so to speak. Very friendly operators. Beautiful, large pitches. and delicious chips from RenateMinusuriNONEbeautiful campsite at SoonwaldWe spent a week on this idyllic site.
It is very easy to reach and the road doesn't really get in the way. You can start hiking directly from the campsite. The campsite operator provides hiking trail descriptions free of charge.
Other hiking destinations (Nahe valley, Bingerwald, Soonwald) can be reached... quickly by car.
You can eat well and cheaply in the small bistro.
The operators have only just taken over the site and are planning to redesign a few things. The (Dutch) menu (schnitzel with a mountain of chips) is also set to change. We are already looking forward to the "Franconian" contribution to the food selection :-)
Conclusion:
beautifully located place with very helpful and friendly operators ... We will be back :-)
Greetings from Franconia
the LiebeleinsTradus automat. - Hans-J. P.September 2021PlusuriRenate and Falk, the new owners since August 2021, are always friendly, informative and helpful. We have rarely experienced such a warm and personal atmosphere on a campsite.MinusuriI have no points of criticismWarm friendliness, good food and great cleanliness on siteWe actually only wanted to spend one night at the Aumühle campsite, as all the pitches on the Rhine were fully booked. But we ended up staying for a full five days because we really liked everything: an unparceled, natural site, a warm and friendly host couple, good food on site, a reliable bread roll... service, spotlessly clean sanitary facilities and plenty of peace and quiet.
When we arrived, we initially assumed that the nearby road might be a source of noise, but quickly realized that this was not the case. During the day, the driving noise of the few cars is not disturbing and at night it is absolutely quiet. We haven't slept so well and quietly on a campsite for a long time as we did at the Aumühle.
We will gladly come back next year!
Many thanks to Renate and Falk for a wonderful stay. We wish you every success with the improvements you want to make during the winter season and look forward to our next visit.Tradus automat. - Barbara N.July 2021PlusuriClose to the Stromberg flow trail, beautiful hiking areaMinusuri--Hiking and mountain bikingWe like simple places without a lot of fuss. The 'Aumühle' is such a place. We felt very comfortable, my husband enjoyed the proximity to the Stromberg flow trail, I enjoyed the many hiking tours with the dog, but also the cycle tours along the Guldenbach stream and the nearby cycle path to Bad Kreuznach and Bingen. There is a lot to see.Tradus automat.
- Silvia T.August 2020PlusuriHiking trail in the immediate vicinityMinusurinoneBeautifully situated on the GuldenbachWell-kept campsite beautifully situated on the Guldenbach. Clean sanitary facilities. Bread roll service. We were on the site over the weekend as a short trip and felt very comfortable.Tradus automat.
- Markus L.May 2020PlusuriSuper nice operators, great place, who wants to have his Euhe is right hereMinusuriCan't really say anything negative.JACKPOT.... We will come more often from now onNo matter what others say about the operator, he is super nice to me. The campsite is easy to get to and the pitches are very large. I will definitely come back and spend more weekends here soon.Tradus automat.
- Oliver Z.May 2020PlusuriSanitary is top clean. Really exemplary. WLAN, electricity and water ...... all included. Quiet location.MinusuriNothing to complain about ..... everything is beautiful here👍Great quiet place in the countrysideA nice quiet place with nice operators.
Located in the middle of nature between the hills and forests of the Hunsrück and surrounded by a small and somewhat larger stream.
Sit down, pull out your chairs and listen to the birds and the babbling brook. Simply beautiful and relaxing.
The owners are very... friendly and the costs are very reasonable. The restaurant also leaves nothing to be desired, even in Corona times.
Sanitary is top clean. Really exemplary.
WLAN, electricity and water ...... all included.
We will definitely be coming here more often.Tradus automat. - Ernst K.September 2019PlusuriClose to the highway, short drive to the Rhine and Nahe. Clean sanitary facilities.MinusuriThe proverbial unfriendliness of the site operatorClean transit area near the highway under unfriendly managementI chose the site for several days in order to go on extended cycling tours from Bingen along the Rhine and Nahe. The site is close to the highway in a quiet valley by a babbling brook. The sanitary facilities are small, but very clean. So all good conditions for a nice vacation. The owner, an elderly... Dutch gentleman, makes no secret of his unfriendliness. During my 5-day stay, I didn't notice a single friendly gesture from him. Apart from me, there were only 2 German campers on the site, otherwise only Dutch people. Almost only as transit campers. I was able to make contact with a Dutch couple and they confirmed that the operator was also very unfriendly towards them. Once when I wanted to buy a drink, he told me it was a day off and he was only doing the reception. However, he sat right next to the drinks in his bistro and refused to serve me. I had never experienced such behavior at a campsite in more than 45 years. When I paid, there was no bill, just a receipt from the cash register. The friendly Dutch campers advised me to go to the campsite in Oberhausen, north of Bad Kreuznach, and they apologized to me for the unfriendliness of their fellow countryman. So I'd rather not go again.Tradus automat.
- Monika S.June 2019PlusuriBeautifully situated placeMinusuriCourse operatorThis year's booking was a bad decisionAfter spending a great time here last year over Whitsun, we came back again this year. However, what we experienced this year was below the belt. He insulted some friends of ours and wanted to turn them away even though he had allocated them the pitch and they had booked for 8 nights. Obviously he made... a mistake in the planning and wanted to make up for it with the new guests. After the campsite operator had been ranting about the whole campsite in the evening, we decided to leave together the next day. There was a scandal when we paid the next morning. I took the liberty of asking for an invoice, whereupon he just said that he couldn't issue one because he didn't know what was coming (unfortunately I didn't understand). But then he completely lost it, threw up both arms and shouted: "I hate Germans! What they did in Holland back then still applies today!" Totally shocked, I even forgot my bill. Such behavior is out of the question for me and I don't understand how such a mindset can run a campsite in Germany where everyone just comes to spend a few nice days and hours. Conclusion: We will never visit this campsite again under this management! I promise!Tradus automat.
- Werner S.June 2019PlusuriLocationMinusuriOperator according to own statements German haters and very unfriendlyOperator says he hates GermansWe were there for the 2nd year over Whitsun with a group. The 1st year everything was great and without any problems. The 2nd year the reception was already so unfriendly that we would have preferred to leave again. The operator didn't want any more groups, it would only get him into trouble. Then on... Friday evening at around 8pm our fellow campers, who had already been there for a week and had booked until Monday, were told to move because they were on the wrong pitch. This tone across the pitch with threats of police action was below the belt. As a result, our group decided to cancel our planned weekend the next morning and leave the site two days early. When paying on Saturday morning, the operator did not issue a receipt for the stay, insulted all 10 people in reception, saying he hated Germans, what the Nazis had already done to him. And that in our home country!Tradus automat.
- Manfred D.June 2019Very unfriendly site operator towards GermansWe arrived at lunchtime. The reception was closed. However, the barrier to the campsite was open. As our camping friends had already arrived, we walked to the campsite to look for our group. Once we had found them, we drove our camper van onto the site to our group. When we later went to the registration... desk, instead of being greeted, we were insulted in the worst possible way because we had driven onto the site. I could read and should have rung the bell. But the bell was not visible when we left the registration desk. A later apology for driving in without registering was not accepted. Some of our camping friends were also treated unkindly. The whole group left the next morning. We were treated unfriendly again when we paid. Among other things, he said that he hated Germans and called us Nazis. We were all shocked. That's really not acceptable. You don't have to put up with that. It makes you wonder why, as a Dutchman, he is running a campsite in Germany if he hates Germans...Tradus automat.
- Marek M.October 2018Plusuriclean and reasonably priced. The pricing in the restaurant is also humane.Minusuria little off the beaten track :-(Piece of jewelry - can easily compete with the big onesYes, the family-run campsite is a positive surprise. The hosts are friendly, bread rolls are ready to pick up early in the morning. There is a small forest and meadow area just behind the stream for a quick walk with the dog. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean, so at least 5 stars.Tradus automat.
- Kirsten S.August 2018Unfriendly transit area on a busy roadPositive: - The sanitary facilities were really clean - The place is close to the highway, practical as an overnight place - There is a bread service, but it only works half-heartedly Negative: - Unfriendly operator who does not understand his own booking system. His bread roll lists also overwhelm him.... He screams and shouts around in his office, admits that he doesn't understand his booking system, bangs his fists on the counter in reception, runs around the place shouting. This kind of behavior is both completely unacceptable and incomprehensible - the operators are Dutch, as are 99% of the people passing through. That would have been very nice if the Dutch operator hadn't made a very nasty remark about Germans. Too bad... - Half of the site is permanent, the other half is almost purely a transit site. The overnight guests arrive late in the evening and leave very early in the morning. There is no consideration for other campers, it's just noisy - the site is located on a busy road 50 m from the campsite. It is loud almost all night long. - They actually try to make the place nice. At the entrance there is a small rabbit enclosure with 3 rabbits, which have a small caravan with awning as their home. This could be very nice if the small enclosure wasn't completely full of bait, the whole floor was dirty and full of droppings. What a shame, the poor animals certainly didn't deserve that. - Wifi is advertised, but it rarely works. - The numbering of the seats is not comprehensible and is probably not understood by the operator himself - do you have to be criticized if you dare to reorder two rolls, although there is a reorder list for this purpose? - We had to experience that a youth group accompanied by adults, traveling with bicycles, asked to be allowed to push their bikes 50 m across the path of the campsite in order to save a large stretch of busy country road. They were rudely refused. Conclusion: The site could be very nice, both as a transit site and as a campsite for a few days, if the operator had understood what a service concept means. We don't expect friendliness, politeness would have sufficed. We don't recommend this site, apart from the proximity to the highway, there is simply nothing right here.Tradus automat.
- Andreas H.May 2018PlusuriVery quiet, shady pitch. Very friendly and helpful operators. The sanitary facilities are very clean, showering costs nothing.Recommended small placeThe site is used by many Dutch people passing through. It is relatively small, clean and quiet. All pitches are grass pitches that are very well maintained.Tradus automat.
- Christian S.May 2016Plusurithe best showers, inexpensive place that offers everything you needMinusuriit would be nice if the bridge over the stream was repaired, then perfectWell-visited place not only for those passing throughThe place is located between the river and the road, at high water the river is quite loud, unfortunately during my stay the footbridge over the river was torn away (high water), for dog owners who want to walk from the place therefore difficult without a bridge because leaving the place so only possible... by car. (unless you want to walk on the busy and fast road first). Hiking and excursion destinations in the area are fantastic, especially with a dog you can go on the best hikes. Some of the pitches are very long and narrow, which takes some getting used to. The site is mainly used by Dutch people passing through, so it's a nice place to come and go every day. The showers are the best I have ever experienced, no coins, no pressure, beautifully tiled, adjustable water is an absolute dream. Scullery inside and outside perfect. The price is very reasonable for the region. Local and bread service not tested.Tradus automat.
- Edgar H.April 2016PlusuriGood accessibilityMinusuriSanitary facilities rather rudimentary, but okay so far. Noisy because of the proximity to the street.Good accessibilityWe were passing through the campsite this year. The site is easily accessible. Everything you need is available. Tourist pitches are not parceled out. Close to a road. Beautiful countryside.Tradus automat.
- Roland D.April 2016PlusuriHot water included cleanMinusurithe volume of the stream, depending on how you feelSmall campsite right by the streamWe were warmly welcomed and were able to choose our own pitch (April). ADAC camping card is accepted as ID, but we were not granted a discount. We stayed at the site for three days, mainly for hiking. The campsite itself is beautifully situated next to two streams. These cause a slightly increased noise... level. If you are looking for absolute silence, you should not stay here because of the fast-flowing, noisy water. The site, as well as the facilities, are tidy and clean. Hot water is free of charge. Washing (incl. detergent) and drying costs four euros (04/2016). There are also plenty of electricity and water points. If you want, you can eat in the self-catered restaurant in the evening. In general, the site is lovingly decorated, with a rotating water wheel, rabbit enclosure, goldfish pond and all sorts of little things. We would love to come back.Tradus automat.
