- Roswitha R.May 2024PlusuriSmaller pitch, new sanitary buildingMinusuriWLAN probably not free of chargeDirect sea accessDespite booking early, we were allocated a small pitch for our caravan which we were able to change without any problems as the pitch was not fully booked. All pitches are separated by hedges and have their own water and waste water connections, as well as electricity.
The sanitary building was still... being renovated, all the toilets were super new and clean, large showers, you couldn't regulate the water yourself and it was set too cool for us, we only found one shower where the shower water was at a good temperature for us.
WLAN was probably free of charge due to the renovation work, but it only worked at the end of our stay.
The campsite is right by the sea and you can walk to the town via the beach in about 20 minutes, from where you can also easily get to Royan by public transport.Tradus automat. - Alexander E.June 2020PlusuriVery nice location with great areas, friendly entertainers, in my opinion something for everyone.MinusuriThe staff at the reception, the sanitary facilities were clean, but there was no sink.....so la laThe place gives itself, or received 5 stars. They are definitely not. A good 3 maybe. Nevertheless, I spent one of my few vacation days there, where I can really speak of vacation, which was also due to the time. The French weren't on vacation yet, so the place was only half full, the beach was quite... empty, as was the pool area including the restaurant. The waiters and entertainers had a lot of time and desire to give you a pleasant vacation and to offer the children a varied program. Not all the great things that were advertised, but good...Corona.
If you go on vacation there, you should eat mussels and oysters. They can do that ... fresh and tasty.
The beach is beautiful, wide and long. At low tide, small bays open up between the rocks, where you can lie a little more hidden and watch the French catching crabs.
We also liked the town of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, which is definitely worth a visit. (A TIP for motorhomes)
We had a pitch by the sea. The access was very narrow, so we had a few problems with parking. We wouldn't have succeeded with a larger caravan.
Electricity, water and waste water were on site. But that brings us to the first or second problem. Our water connection was made blind. The service technician we were promised on the day of arrival...we saw him on the pitch from time to time, but never at the water connection.
The service staff at reception were unfriendly and unwilling to accommodate a German who spoke French at school. Although one employee turned out to speak perfect German.
Corona-related emails were not answered, we were not sold stamps and ... well, the little things.
Oh well...thank goodness for Corona, because washing your hands after using the toilet is not an option. Due to Corona, however, there were dispensers near the toilets...A foot shower could also be abused. Well....Tradus automat. - Janine S.September 2019Plusuri- Beach locationMinusuri- very loud until late at night - dark sanitary facilitiesLocation great, rest wellGood location on the sandy beach. At low tide you can also walk into the bays of the steep coast. Due to the entrance to the Gironde estuary, only small waves, shallow water - therefore also suitable for children. Large pitches separated by hedges. Also with shade in the Parc de Pins. Unfortunately very... crowded and noisy in high season. Supersonic children's disco until after 11pm. There is no escape! And when the entertainment is over, then come the bawling adults... The sanitary facilities were mostly clean but also very dark and a bit run-down. Good supermarket on site with a large selection at fair prices. A car is necessary to get to the "real" supermarket in town. Well-kept swimming pool on site. Unfortunately (as is usually the case in France) you are not allowed in swimming shorts. Excursion possibilities (e.g. Palmyre Zoo and Ile de Olereon) nearby.Tradus automat.
- Claudia W.July 2019PlusuriGreat locationMinusuriSanitary facilities in the parc de la Mer inadequate and uncleanCamping bois soleilBeautiful site with direct access to the beach. Sanitary building in the parc de la Mer mostly dirty, which is partly due to the guests but also to the inadequate cleaning. Too few showers and toilets, so you often have to queue...Tradus automat.
- Daniela G.July 2016PlusuriDirectly on the sea, beautiful beach, nice staffTop campsiteWe have been coming to this place for many years. Right by the sea, nice pool, entertainment every evening in high seasonTradus automat.
- Jürgen Z.September 2014PlusuriGreat location and sufficiently large pitchesMinusuriPitches in the main area are only allocated to Camping-Cheque customers. WiFi too expensiveIt's always nice to drive to this placeA very beautifully situated pitch where further improvements are made almost every year. The sanitary facilities in the part of the campsite close to the beach have now also been modernized and are partially heated and closed. Unfortunately, these new facilities are miscalculated or sloppily built, and there is always water in the shower-washing cubicles.Tradus automat.
- Jürgen W.June 2014Beautiful placeWe stayed on the site for 12 days and liked it very much. In the low season it is very quiet there, which we found very pleasant. The main sanitary facilities are very clean - but not all showers have hot water. The smaller sanitary facilities, which were in our immediate vicinity, were rarely cleaned... and were therefore usually quite dirty. Overall, however, we liked it very much - we thought the location by the sea and the facilities of the campsite with pool were great. The staff were also very nice. We would love to come back again.Tradus automat.
- Michael R.August 2011Reception/management inflexible and not very customer-oriented, e.g. no departure possible during the night.Tradus automat.
