The first thing to mention is the fantastic service and the friendliness of the staff.

Great place, great location and excellent service
The great impression started with the booking. Although there was a lot going on (Ascension Day, Dieter Thomas Kuhn's performance and the Campus Festival), we were helped with our booking over the phone.
At all the other places around Lake Constance, our inquiries were met with laughter and refusals....
The staff are very flexible. The reception was very friendly.
All hell broke loose on the public holiday, but the boss himself reached for the lawnmower to prepare the campsite for the young people.
Despite festivals and lots of young people partying, it was absolutely quiet from 10pm.
The facilities are very good and clean (except for the shower curtains in the somewhat older sanitary building, which no longer meet today's standards)
Bread roll service and bistro even on public holidays.
The location is great! Very quiet in a nature reserve directly on the lake. Short distance to Constance, Mainau Island and Meersburg.
Only the price is not exactly cheap, but that is probably due to the location and the proximity to Switzerland - all pitches are equally expensive.

The site is in a quiet location and away from the main roads. The access road is single lane but you can get through without any problems with a camper van. The site is very close to the lake. The pitches are new and very well laid out. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

No refund of the deposit in the event of illness. No response to correspondence.
No money back in the event of illness
The pitch was booked well in advance. A deposit of €300 was paid. On the very first night, I experienced severe pain in my abdomen, which persisted. The vacation had to be cut short right after the first night. At home, I was diagnosed with severe spinal canal stenosis. I asked in writing for an invoice and reimbursement of the difference. A medical certificate was enclosed. There was neither a refund nor any reply at all.

Bonsai-Woodstock - A campsite that is truly second to none.
Very long and single-lane access road, if you come here with a caravan there is no turning back in oncoming traffic. A very warm welcome with detailed instructions. You are accompanied to the pitch by a gentleman in a slouch hat - "turn off the engine" - "get out when I talk to you". The pitch - no,... it wasn't a pitch, it's a sloping, rough gravel pitch with bare earth - was so small that a 6.5m caravan could just fit in. No more room for the car. The whole scene is reminiscent of Woodstock in bonsai format. Young people camping close together everywhere, party tents. There is a parking lot for cars outside. This should also be used, as the barrier is closed at 20:00! After that, there is no way in or out until the next day at 08:00! Is that already a deprivation of liberty? There is a constant coming and going at Bonsai-Woodstock. The sanitary facilities - which still exist here, the original 60s shower with shower curtain and without any storage facilities - can be classified as grotty. In the second building are the more "modern" showers. The walls of the shower have mold spots everywhere. The water runs out of the door! A lid from the shower gel lay on the drain for 3 days together with thick tufts of hair before it was roughly cleaned. Sometimes an external cleaning team appears with young Russian guys, but they are gone faster than they arrived. The self-service restaurant is fine when it's open. The new management does everything with heart, but everything here is only 75%, nothing is really finished, everything is just done quickly. Bread roll service via PayPal in the restaurant. WLAN only available to a limited extent. Mobile data reception poor. Strange opening hours, even in high season. Bonsai-Woodstock can only be booked with 100% prepayment. If you leave early, the money is gone, as well as if you cancel.

A pitch of this size needs to be well organized. Mr. Metzger and his pitch manager manage that! You feel noticed - and warmly welcomed.

The shower rooms are cleaned at half past nine in the morning, so they are closed. At half past nine! When most campers are just getting up.

If you don't like the... proximity to your very close neighbor, you have to look for another pitch during the vacation season (which is probably not available anywhere).

I didn't see a (small) supermarket on the site. The Penny supermarket, which is close by, fills this gap.

Ordering bread rolls via app and PayPal (didn't work for me) favors the computer-savvy clientele. The WLAN works (free KonstanzWLAN)!

The restaurant opens at 3:30 pm, but the kitchen only opens at 5 pm.

All in all, a pleasant place that is well managed and offers a lot of peace and quiet for its size.

Quiet campsite directly on Lake Constance
We, 2 adults with a VW Bulli, arrived here spontaneously in the evening. The registration was absolutely uncomplicated, the staff very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities were well maintained. You could shower for as long as you wanted. I was missing an additional shelf in the shower. The site... has a great location right on the shore of Lake Constance. We went swimming once (you should have bathing shoes because of the stones). Beautiful cycle paths led directly from the campsite to the city of Constance. We will be back!

Unfavorable price-performance ratio
We didn't find our time on the site relaxing, very restless due to frequent arrivals and departures, the sanitary facilities are unacceptable, the cleaning is not regular, e.g. leftover food remained in the sink for several days, the garbage piled up, which was very unpleasant in this heat.
Against this... background, the costs charged are clearly too high, especially the electricity flat rate of €5/day.
Summary: The operator shamelessly exploits the attractive location of the campsite, focusing on quantity rather than quality.

Very small pitches, price/performance ratio -
The site is in a great location, close to Constance, directly on Lake Constance. The staff are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are clean, but the communal showers are a bit outdated.
However, the super small, narrow pitches are not at all good: originally there were two pitches, but now there... are four.
The back row is barely accessible, without a mover a caravan has no realistic chance of being maneuvered when the pitch is full. This is inappropriate given the reasonable price, and standing in a tight spot is stressful.... Electricity costs an outrageous 5,- per night - no electricity price increase has ever been so blatant, someone is riding the inflation wave.

Quiet, family-run, clean campsite.
Anyone looking for a quiet place is in good hands here. We stayed here for 2 weeks in June 2018 and the sanitary facilities were in perfect order. We never found a dirty toilet or similar. However, the restaurant is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. There are a few dishes to choose from here. To swim... it is only 3 minutes (100m), about 10 minutes to the lido Konstanz. From the outside, however, the place is accessible all night without control, key or security check, here the place management should think about it.

We stayed here for a whole week with our tent. We found the operators very nice and uncomplicated. The site is nice and quiet and has a well-kept tent meadow that deserves its name: hardly any stones, the tent was easy to pitch. The bread roll service was good, there were 2 types of bread rolls and pretzels... as well as bread, completely sufficient. You can also buy jam, Nutella and processed cheese at reception, as well as sweets and drinks. The sanitary facilities are not comparable with large campsites, but the toilets are clean. Mini flies collect at the washbasins, which wasn't nice, maybe you could go over them more often. The water in the washrooms was kind of lukewarm, but the showers were ok. The location is great, it's easy to get into town, and the owner is very helpful and also has tips on where to eat out. Quiet, friendly man, we felt very comfortable. Not one of those creepy giant campsites with entertainment. The mobile store that comes on Wednesdays and has everything from sausages to jelly babies was great! And sometimes the ice cream man comes :-) It was great there, we'll be back!

We were on the site for 10 days, no parcelling, so we were able to choose a nice place ourselves. The Feldmann's were very friendly and helpful and gave us very helpful tips. If you ordered in advance, you could get fresh bread rolls early in the morning, even on Sundays. The sanitary facilities are... cleaned twice a day and, to my astonishment, disinfected from scratch once a week. I recommend a 5 star hotel to extreme cleanliness fanatics. We liked it and would be happy to come back.

Sent away despite sufficient space.
To make a reservation for our caravan, I tried for 6 hours last Friday to reach someone at this campsite by phone. When we arrived in the evening around 17:00, we were sent away in a very unfriendly manner as we had no reservation, and when asked why nobody had answered the phone, he only replied that... they were just outside more when the weather was so nice. Apparently the age of cell phones is still a long way off at this campsite. I took photos of the empty pitches that evening and the next day, even on Sunday they were all still empty. We were not the only guests to be "kindly" expelled from the site. We will certainly never stay on this site again.

Negligence of the owners
Location perfect, shower defective
We were there with the caravan from 01.08.-05.08.2016. Pre-registration was useful, in the evening regularly all pitches occupied. Big annoyance: A lady shower regularly swallowed the 50 cents, but did not spit water. The owners were aware of the problem, but didn't see any real need for action. Anyone... who expressed their displeasure at reception was only refunded the 50 cents. In the end, my daughter painted a "DEFECTIVE" sign and stuck it to the door herself.

Not necessarily recommended
Open at the beginning of April, but the washrooms and showers are not heated. The showers themselves are only just warm and there is only cold water in the washrooms. The kiosk and café/restaurant are still closed. However, this is NOT reflected in the price.

Our first camping vacation
We went on our first camping vacation in June 2015. I had chosen the Bruderhofer campsite on Lake Constance as our destination. The reception was friendly, we were shown our pitch and given the electricity connection. After we had pitched the tent, we walked around the site a bit and had a look at the... sanitary facilities. Some of them were a bit dirty. It looked as if they hadn't been cleaned for a few days. But that was in 2015, so it might look completely different now. The location of the campsite is really beautiful, almost directly on the lake. The cycle path passes below the pitch and the Horn lido is about 10 minutes away. It is pleasantly quiet at night, no noisy youth groups. Constance and the famous sights (Mainau, Meersburg, ...) are only a stone's throw away. In the small store you can buy cables, gas cartridges and a few other little things that you might have forgotten at home. Of course there is also a bread roll service. The recycling center is right at the entrance, so it was a short walk for us. The cars are parked outside.

Quiet, functional, clean, close to the lake
Super quiet practical place for average campers in Constance
When I read the comments, I panicked and even wanted to change places! BUT thank God we didn't do that! We found a small but nice camping site 4km from the port of Constance! We are in our early 30s and arrived by boat from Austria! After a cab ride for 10 euros we arrived with our heavy luggage at the... campsite, where we were welcomed by a nice gentleman who obviously indulges in the 80s style! Contrary to the opinion of other guests who had written a comment, we did not find the reception to be effusive, but reservedly friendly and constructive! It's just the nature of the man and we didn't see it as negative at all! We were also immediately shown to the campsite, which made a well-kept impression! We were allowed to choose our own pitch. When we asked for an air pump, the tenant told us to ask the neighbors for electricity or a pump! Why someone was allegedly expelled from the site for this reason remains a mystery to us! The sanitary facilities are adequate! Well-maintained toilets, washing machine and dryer available. There is also a washing-up room. Showers are a bit cramped, but okay! Hot shower water costs 50 cents for three minutes. Which is not really much! No spiders or anything similar could be discovered! The pitch and facilities are simple, but more than adequate for the average camper! Great importance is attached to peace and quiet! At 23:00 you could hear a pin drop at the campsite, and that in the middle of July! Via the shore of Lake Constance, which you can reach in 100m, you can take the bus line 1 at the car ferry port in about 10 minutes! Departure every 15 minutes until about midnight! And the best thing: you get the ticket for the public transportation for free when you check in! The lakeshore is 100m away and offers either small bays directly in front of the campsite, or you can walk a few minutes along the shore to the seaside resort. The Bodenseetherme spa is also located there. The walk towards the center is a little further, but well suited for people with a lot of time and leisure! Always along the lakeshore for about 5km. In the evening, however, not suitable for the faint-hearted! We felt very comfortable and will certainly use the offer again! Youth groups and party animals are explicitly not welcome!

So to back up my more than modest assessment, here are a few details. We arrived at our previously reserved pitch after a more than stressful drive and were greeted with more than a few grumpy looks (what does he want here). After a poor briefing on a dirty meadow, we were left to our own devices. Now... for the climax, .... when we asked for electricity we were immediately verbally and actively beaten up in the worst possible way with confused gesticulation, in short for TENTS NO ELECTRICITY! After we then asked the neighbors for electricity and the site owner / landlord / Klomann whatever role he doprt possessed, this was the surprise perfect, ... we were expelled from the place, with the words something like YOU we do not need here ^ ^ the man probably had no mirror at home! When we tried to take a shower, it almost degenerated into violence (on the part of the "toilet man", mind you), so we had to leave as quickly as possible. Conclusion: In 12 years of camping experience the worst, dirtiest and most unfriendly place I have ever seen. NEVER AGAIN

We liked the site very much, it is very quiet, beautifully situated and well laid out. The sanitary facilities are fine, there is always hot water free of charge. The showers are adequate and cost 50 ct. We didn't like the bread rolls, but we are used to other bread rolls in the north. The owners were... friendly and helpful. Access to the lake only 3 minutes away with a possibility to lie on a lawn. Bathing shoes are recommended for sensitive feet, but otherwise very nice for swimming. For the visitor's tax you can use the bus to Constance free of charge, the bus stop and the ferry are a 10-15 minute walk away. All in all, we would stay here again and again.
