three toilets and showers for men and women are a bit too few, but they are currently being extended and expanded. The operator is very friendly and helpful and reminded us of the important bread roll service, as there is really nothing else nearby if, like us, you don't have a car.
The site was clean and made a well-run impression for our one night. The owner is very nice and helpful, and always took time to answer our beginner questions.
The distances are very short due to the small size of the site.
There is a small lake right next door where you can take... a walk and stop off at the lakeside café. There is also a small cart track there.
If you want to walk a little further, you can reach the indoor activities and a larger cart track. Bispingen and its leisure park are also 10 minutes away by car and can be visited with a day ticket.

The other pitches are a matter of tasteMinusuriFor 91 pitches, there are only 3 men's toilets and 3 urinals (one of which is for children), 3 shower cubicles, 1 single wash cubicle and 4 washbasins, whereby 1 washbasin is defective. To get to the showers, you have to go through the toilet area. There are 4 ladies' toilets, 1 of which is defective and one disabled toilet. 4 washbasins and 2 single wash cubicles. To get to the 3 shower cubicles, you have to go through the toilet area. The problem, however, is that there are ancient (newly painted) toilet doors with sliding bolts that always automatically protrude into the narrow corridor and the small hand wash basin at the end of the corridor cannot be reached by oncoming traffic. In addition, there are only 3 washbasins, one of which has a faulty tap. Queuing in the morning is normal, I've never experienced anything like it. Toilet facilities, shower areas and much of the outside area are very outdated and look improvised. Toilet paper was often in short supply in the mornings and evenings. The highway is often very loud and annoying at night, which doesn't exactly promote relaxation. No children's playground. The decisive factor was the proximity to the go-kart track and the ski hall. These are within walking distance. However, there are also various other activities in the nearby heath. The site is very well maintained and the operators were very friendly and helpful. If you... like to do something and don't spend the whole day on the pitch, this is a great option. The reception was very friendly and patient. The parking area at the reception is sufficient for a maximum of two vehicles. The pitch is paved with cobblestones. There is also grass. The operator goes to great lengths to brief the site.
The location... is ideal for activities such as hiking and cycling, as it is located directly on the Lüneburg Heath and the Heidschnuckenweg also passes right by.
The sanitary facilities are sufficient and clean.
The reception includes a small kiosk and bread roll service.
There is a rustic bistro on the pitch, which offers simple and tasty food at a good price. The service here is also very courteous.

If you want to spend the night there you should book in advance, it's very difficult to do so just like that. The operators are very friendly and the adjoining restaurant is also recommended. Unfortunately, there are only sanitary facilities in the main building,... but they are super clean and a washing machine is also available.
I find the site ideal for campers with dog(s), as there is a path leading directly from the site to the lake 200m away.
Otherwise, the area is very beautiful during the heather blossom season. In addition, there are many attractions within a radius of 50 km, such as the Heide-Park Soltau, bird park and much more, the area is also very beautiful for cyclists and hikers. Culinarily we tried almost the whole menu and we liked everything very much! The service was very courteous!
All in all we can say.... WE WILL BE BACK!
And we're not just saying that...we mean it!
We can only recommend the campsite to anyone, whether for a longer period of time...or just for an overnight stay!

Originally the trip was only supposed to last until Wednesday. However, we liked it there and the surrounding area so much that we extended our stay. Despite the large crowds, the owner found a way to accommodate our request. Thanks again for that. The bread roll... service was just great, as was the whole service. However, the proximity to the highway is not a problem. It is still in a quiet location. From here you can quickly reach the most beautiful heath landscapes by bike.
The site itself is well run. The pitches are spacious and the sanitary facilities... are mostly clean. We received a friendly welcome when we checked in, and Mr. Horn was happy to answer any questions we had during our almost 3-week stay. Many thanks again to the campsite management!!!

In short, if you want to spend a heath vacation, you are in very good hands here. The Brunau flows through the middle. Its embankment is left in its natural state and the rest of the site is also characterized by very attractive planting. The standard pitches are large enough and partly paved for parking motorhomes.
The sanitary facilities... are clean and comfortable. Shopping facilities are easy to reach by bike. The Heidschnuckenweg runs right past the campsite for beautiful walks. The bathing lake is 300m away. The restaurant is open from 5pm and offers simple but good food.Tradus automat.
