- Uwe M.September 2022PlusuriThe location was already unique, sanitary buildingMinusuriThe temperature of the hot water for the shower could not be adjusted, it was a bit coolA place with a special charmWe booked online beforehand, so we were able to go straight through the barrier with the code. Everything went automatically, electricity was activated, even showering was possible with the code. On the day of departure, we simply went through the barrier with the code and an hour later we received an... email with the bill for the electricity and showers. Booking is definitely the order of the day, the pitch was fully booked (not an art, there are very few pitches available). The location is ideal if you want to visit the city. Otherwise, you can go for a good walk all around, and dogs can even run free outside the site.
Everything is clean and has its own charm. The kitchen and sink are like in a show kitchen on TV. super clean and stylish. Next to it is a dining area. All with a special charm because it was built into the weirs.
The only negative point my wife had to criticize was that the shower water was too cold for her.
It was quiet here, but judging by reports from other sources, there must always be a party here at the weekend.
Otherwise: Top, you have to try it.Tradus automat. - A. B.August 2019Plusuri+ Close to the city + Original location in the fortMinusuri- Space freely accessible to everyone (risk of theft) - Sanitary facilitiesThe somewhat different campsite, ideal for a city tourCamping Charlottenlund Fort was the ideal starting point for our visit to Copenhagen. The site is about 7 km from the city center, which is easy to reach by public transport. The Constantia bus stop (Strandvejen) is in the immediate vicinity. The site is uniquely embedded in the fortifications built... in 1889. It is also unusual that the sanitary facilities, kitchen and recreation room are housed in the old bunkers. There is no children's playground, although our children (aged 9 and 12) found the entire weir system interesting. There is a guarded beach right next door. The sanitary facilities are functional, but unfortunately not always clean and there was a strong smell of urine in the men's rooms, probably due to the waterless urinals and poor ventilation. Conclusion: Original location in the fort and a good starting point for a city tourTradus automat.
- Andreas J.July 2019Plusuridirect access to the beach, approx. 800m to the next supermarket, quite quiet location, nice staff, city center by bike, bus and streetcarMinusuriopen space, so I would rather not camp here with a tent, or stow valuables in the carWe will be backA small uhriger campsite, we liked it. The staff were very friendly, we could even take our trailer onto the pitch at no extra cost. Waterless urinals smell everywhere, including here. Disposal was no problem with our Womo, not optimal, but you can hit the disposal hole.Tradus automat.
- Dr. Harald W.June 2019MinusuriHigh risk of theft.People steal here and neither the landlady nor the police are interestedWe stayed here for 8 nights with a house tent and were robbed twice at night while we were sleeping. Some other guests were also robbed and some had their tents cut up. The police were informed but never came. The campsite management made the excuse that the site was freely accessible.Tradus automat.
- Ian P.June 2019PlusuriConsidering other reservations I had made who were a lot more positive and gave me a refund, this place sucked!MinusuriA place that is Financially driven and to hell with the customersBEWARE!I booked a place on 14/02/2019 at this campsite as a stop on a tour of Scandinavia for my wife and myself with our caravan. On 19/04/2019 during an emergency visit to our Hospital I was diagnosed with Cancer. I wrote to the campsite explaining the situation and asking if it would be possible to have a refund as the Oncologist wanted to start my treatment straight away. The campsite replied that due to there Rules NO refund would be forthcoming.
- Jörg B.October 2018PlusuriClose to the city Beach Protected from the wind by a fort wall (even in strong winds) Very friendly reception staff Cycle into the cityMinusuriUrinals without water very smelly Cooking area not separated WLAN not available everywhereTypical city campsiteA simple city campsite with advantages and disadvantages. Copenhagen is very easy to explore by bike from here. There is a small beach in the immediate vicinity of the site. The sanitary facilities are very basic. The lack of cleanliness is mostly due to the guests. The waterless urinals are very smelly... (saving money at the wrong end). The lounge is unfortunately not separated from the many cooking areas. In the evening, the toilet smells from one side and the mixed cooking smells from the other. WLAN is free, but not usable in the back half of the campsite. Bread roll service at reception is ok. Nice inexpensive restaurant in the marina a little north of the campsite. Otherwise there are no other facilities nearby. The ladies at the reception/cafe are very nice and helpful. However, you should be able to speak English.Tradus automat.
- Sönke G.October 2017PlusuriCopenhagen's city center is easy and safe to reach by bike.MinusuriLack of detail in supply and disposal for Womos Smelly soup in the communal WC, lounge and cooking bunker.Ideal for sightseeingWe were there with a camper van to visit the city during the fall break with three children. All the pitches were already closed, so we drove to a campsite. Booking not absolutely necessary but there was a lot going on, so we would recommend it. We found the reception including staff, lounge, toilets... and shower facilities as described in the other reviews. Supply and disposal ok, but not ideal. Chemical toilet emptying well done, if it weren't for the digitally working water hose. Nothing or maximum water pressure - that gives wet pants. For the gray water there is an approx. 25 cm large hole with very little inflow gradient, so that either a fiddly maneuvering situation or a small puddle of gray water is created here. We visited Copenhagen on our own bikes and were absolutely thrilled. Once you have covered the 6.5 km to the city center on good and wide cycle paths, this city, which is also very bike-friendly in the city center, is excellent and quick to explore in this way. Supermarkets on the way - food and drink provided.Tradus automat.
- Olaf K.June 2017PlusuriGreat location in the fortMinusuriNot a closed systemSensational locationThe campsite is about 7 km from the center of Copenhagen and can be easily reached by bus directly opposite the campsite, or by bicycle. The site is surrounded by a rampart and used to be a defense fort (built in 1889). This is why there are still 12 old cannons on the site. The sanitary area, lounge... with sitting area and TV, washing machines, kitchen with several cooking facilities and sink are located in the converted bunker. That alone is very impressive. The reception was very friendly and helpful, but guests should have some knowledge of English. Bread roll service works very well without pre-ordering, but there is no kiosk or other catering options directly on the pitch. Wi-Fi is free, fast and available almost everywhere on the site. A supermarket and two small snack bars are within easy walking distance (5 minutes). The site is highly recommended as a starting point for a sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. The only disadvantage to mention is that the campsite is well protected from the wind, but during the day interested visitors to the weir system (there were very few) also walk around the site. The beach, guarded by a lifeguard, is located directly behind the campsite. Advance booking recommendedTradus automat.
- ralph t.October 2016great place for a visit to Copenhagengreat place right on the beach in an old fortress sanitary facilities clean and sufficient fresh bread rolls at the reception nice and friendly place operators all speak no German with English everything goes in front of the campsite is directly the bus to the city center of CopenhagenTradus automat.
- Izabella S.August 2016PlusuriVery good location.MinusuriLittle room for a tent. Poor cleanliness of bathrooms. Kitchen in the same room as the bathrooms. Very unpleasant lady from the staff. Not very good impressions about the cleanliness and quality of service.I and my friends were met with a very unpleasant reception by the lady acting as host of the campsite. Immediately we were categorized as guests who will create problems ie noise and disobeyed order. Perhaps stereotypes worked, which was very unpleasant for us, and if it were not for the fact that we spent only one night at this campsite we would definitely look for another place.Tradus automat.
- Anke M.August 2016PlusuriClose to the city center, good connection to public transport, very good, free WLAN, well-equipped kitchen!MinusuriUrinals smell very strong! Supply of bread rolls / bread rather poor, no information material about the fort and the surrounding area, no dog bags! What a campsite...😀😀😀😀We booked our pitch a week before our arrival date and that was a good thing, as spontaneously arriving campers had to be turned away. The ladies at reception were very friendly and helpful. The location of the site in the old fort is sensational, the accommodation of the sanitary facilities, lounge,... kitchen etc. in the old catacombs was very well implemented. Although the site was fully booked, we always found the sanitary facilities to be clean. Only the unpleasant smell from the waterless urinals in the men's toilet was extreme. Overall, the site is very clean and tidy, as almost every pitch has its own garbage can. The WLAN reception on our pitch was 100% and free of charge. It is very nice that you can leave your car on the pitch for visits to the city of Copenhagen, as a bus stops almost directly in front of the "door". The campsite is not really suitable for children as there is no direct playground. There are play areas near the beach, which older children may be able to visit on their own. Dog owners should bring their own bags as there are no "dispensers". All in all, we liked it very much, so we can and will recommend the campsite to others and will reserve a pitch again for our next visit to Copenhagen.Tradus automat.
- Iris W.June 2016Plusuriclose to the city, quiet, well-keptMinusuriFew restaurants nearby.Ideal for sightseeing in CopenhagenMy husband and I stayed at Charlottenlund for 5 days with the caravan in June 2016. The location in the fort is original. Absolutely close to cycle to Copenhagen (about 8 km). There is a small grocery store nearby (Irma). We found the place quiet and pleasant.Tradus automat.
- Bozidar L.June 2016Exceptional placeWe liked standing in the old fort between the cannons. Bus stop to the city center almost on the doorstep. Nice restaurant on the square.Tradus automat.
- Ingrid G.June 2016PlusuriProximity to the cityMinusuriSanitary is not possible at all, at least for the ladies. You should not expect catering on the pitch. Loud.Best starting point for a visit to CopenhagenUnfriendly reception, sanitary facilities an absolute no go! But still "real" campers, so the atmosphere is pleasant. There is a lot to see due to the frequent changes. Only conditionally suitable with a dog, Copenhagen prefers to stay without, but there are relaxed dog owners around the site. Not always quiet due to the proximity to the city, but not really disturbing.Tradus automat.
- Willhelm T.May 2016Plusuri- clean - WLAN works & is free of chargeMinusuriThieves on the CPGreat campsite near CopenhagenWe spent five nights on the campsite at the end of May 2016. The site is located in the old Fort Charlottenlund; some of the fortifications are still there. Breakfast on the campsite is no problem; there is a small restaurant at reception. For dinner you can switch to the large restaurant with sea view... (higher price range). The sanitary facilities are clean, but smell a bit musty. WLAN is available and also works (free of charge - very good!) You can easily get to Copenhagen in 20 minutes by public transport and see the city there. ATTENTION: there are thieves on the campsite - so don't leave any valuables in the camper van and always lock it well!Tradus automat.
- Petra B.May 2016PlusuriGood starting point for sightseeing Clean facilities Short walk to the waterMinusuriBetter to book in advancePerfect for sightseeingWe were there at the beginning of May 2016. A great starting point for exploring Copenhagen. The CP is perfectly integrated into this fort complex. Short walk to the beach or the shady park (great for dogs). Sanitary facilities clean and good. Kitchen/herb garden perfect.Tradus automat.
- Jana W.September 2015Plusuriby bike very quickly in the city, as cycle paths are very well developedMinusurino catering facilities nearby, no cleaning times noted for the sanitary facilitiesNice location, nothing more...!Were at the beginning of September for 2 nights at the campsite, except for the location in the fort and a beautiful view over the Oeresund, very disappointing.the places only for tent + bike unsatisfactory because very uneven, only an expensive restaurant on the square otherwise only a hot dog stand... in front of the site, what bothered me most was the rude staff, at the reception I had the impression that she had no desire, but the crown the cleaning staff, which was very loud and insulting....Tradus automat.
- Jan N.September 2015Plusuri- hotplates, microwave - good sanitary facilities - fast by bike in CopenhagenMinusuri- Very windy in places, as it is right by the sea (but windless in Copenhagen) - No shopping facilities or "affordable" restaurant in the areaCamping in the fortA beautiful CP in the middle of a former fort with cannons, completely framed by a rampart, located directly by the sea (therefore mostly windy). The sanitary facilities in the ramparts are clean and in good condition. There is seating, hotplates, a microwave and a sink in the anteroom. Electricity must... be paid for per kW/h at the pitch. There are no shopping facilities at the campsite. The restaurant (not part of the campsite) on the rampart has a great ambience and the food is fantastic, but at 100 DKK/13€ starter, 200 DKK/26€ main course, 90 DKK/12€ dessert it is quite expensive and unfortunately you won't be full after the meal either. With perfectly developed cycle paths (separated from the road and footpath), you can be in the center of Copenhagen in 30 - 45 minutes by bike. Airplanes regularly fly over the site (airfield only a few km away), but the noise is bearable.Tradus automat.
- Florian C.August 2015PlusuriLocation, atmosphere, stand and city proximityMinusuriNot fencedGreat city campsiteGreat location right on the water, in the middle of an old fort, often fully booked, toilets, kitchen and co. fully OK, about 8 km to the city center by bike. Neighbors, however, had their wallets and car keys stolen from their awning. It is a city campsite after all.Tradus automat.
- J.I.M. B.May 2014PlusuriBeach next to the campsite. Free internet. Currency exchange machine Easy connection Copenhagen.MinusuriToo few water taps. Small campground, cramped sites.Small , distinct and expensive.Charlottenlund Fort Camping May 2014. A small ,surrounded by an earth wall and moat closed by a barrier. Camping equipped with a series of old cannons,. There is only room for about 40 campers. Entrance only possible by card , this is also for entrance sanitary facilities and shower use. Small pitches.... Close together. One water point where light brown water comes out. Near the toilet is better water to get. Toilets clean and showers modern, clean, and spacious. Easy connection to Copenhagen city via bus or train. By car parking is easy, but everywhere must be paid and expensive in the city center. Currency exchange machine on site. Internet free, but does not reach the back places. No children's play equipment. Beach is only a few dozen meters away. Possibility to cook in community room. Large TV available. Billing of electricity afterwards. No checking possibility. Department store nearby. Also a trotting track nearby.Tradus automat.
