Indoor pool with 2 slides, outdoor pool with 2 slides, swimming lake with beach, beach bar and various climbing frames, fish/fishing lake with fitness... equipment, countless playgrounds with various play equipment, boules court, tennis court, soccer pitch, TT boards, indoor play hall, small supermarket, restaurant, ice cream parlor, mini golf (for a fee), discreet children's entertainment with arts and crafts etc., MTB route in the forest, bike PumpTrack (or as it is now called), clean sanitary facilities, .....
Even the surrounding area has a lot to offer. However, we were only there for a week and didn't really get out at all.

Since the outdoor pool had already closed in the fall, the pool is quite small, when it's full it gets crowded and the two slides are actually really cool, but quickly become uninteresting for the kids, but we'll still be back.Great placeThe campsite is super nice, the entertainment for the kids really great, there was plenty on offer every day, unfortunately a lot of it only from the age of 8 and often only in Dutch, but an effort is made to ensure that everyone understands it. The range of restaurants is extensive and there is something... for everyone, prices are also ok. The sanitary building we used was always clean and really extensive. Lots of toilets and showers available, children's and family showers, washing machines, unfortunately a bit small, I didn't think much fitted in, but huge dryers. The fishing pond is beautifully laid out and the lake and beach are great for children. Playgrounds for everyone, the pump track was the most popular with our boys. Soccer pitches were also very popular. A great ghost tour for the whole family was offered, was also organized with a lot of effort and was a lot of fun. The surrounding area offers great cycling routes and some attractions can be reached quickly by car. The swimming pool should be a bit bigger, as the outdoor pool had already closed in the fall, there were only two slides and the pool area is then also tight, especially when it is very crowded. But we still had fun there. There is also a tennis court, but we didn't use itTradus automat.

Lots of little things that make the vacation relaxed and great.
There are play facilities for the children in every section. There is an indoor playground and an indoor pool for rainy days. There is also a great mountain bike trail and 2 climbing parks. One of... the climbing frames goes partly over the lake, where the water is about ankle to knee deep. Everything is really great and lots of fun.
The sanitary facilities were always kept clean and you could always see cleaning staff. There were extra small toilets and shower facilities for the younger guests.

We've been to lots of places, but this one really offers everything that makes a child's heart beat faster. There is nothing that is not there. The highlight in warm temperatures is the small swimming lake. Simply a dream for children with the integrated playground in and out of the water.MinusuriThe rear part of the facility is a bit outdated. (Braamstruik etc.) Hardly anyone stands there. This part could be renewed over time. But I'm sure something will happen in the next few years.Great place for familiesA little tip:
If you don't want to be right by the lake, the Specht pitch is a great place for families. Here you are right next to a large new playground and the children can always climb, slide or play in the sand within sight. This also gives parents a break.

As our son fell ill, we were unable to travel and asked for a credit note for another weekend. The operator would not have suffered any loss as there were still plenty of places available. However, this was refused with reference to the terms... and conditions and we were left with our costs. Even the visitor's tax, which as far as I know is only payable for actual overnight stays, was withheld. There were only standard answers or none at all to specifically formulated inquiries.

We really enjoyed our vacation, even if the weather didn't cooperate 100%.
We really liked the relatively large, flat, grassy pitch. Electricity, water and waste water were right next to the pitch and the caravan. Unfortunately, the pitch we chose... was directly on the access road behind the reception, so unfortunately it was quite noisy early on, so we didn't really pay attention when booking.
One of the countless playgrounds was directly in front of our playground and was actively used by the children, there were different playgrounds in each pitch area - very commendable.
The path to the wash house was a little further, but in the end it was within sight, the design was very nice and it was always clean. The entire wash house (i.e. the respective cabins) were open at the top, even in the children's area, so it was a bit cold in the wash house. Very nice that there was the possibility to take a bath - rather neutral, the use of a credit card for showering, but the price was ok.
We couldn't use the lake but it looked very nice, same goes for the outdoor pool. The indoor pool was very nice, with a children's area and a swimming area including a slide. However, the entrance area and the changing rooms were rather cramped and very dirty despite the barefoot area.
The indoor playground was really great, the children had a lot of fun and the bistro area for eating and drinking directly in front of it was also very nice, although the food is not quite so recommendable.
The entertainment and events were also very good and everyone made an effort.
Overall, the vacation was more than perfect, the only negative aspects were the food, which didn't stand out in terms of taste, the availability of goods in the store and the cramped and cold conditions in the wash house.
Also negative were the corona measures, which simply did not exist, at least a little distance could have been maintained instead of sitting close together.Tradus automat.

Sanitary house very clean but the showers were open at the top which was a bit cool in September.
To Aldi it was about 6 kilometers you can easily reach by bike on the designated bike paths super.
Restaurant on the square is highly recommended.

Regina R.August 2019Plusuri- Arrangement of parking spaces around playgrounds - Many sports and play opportunities for children - good price-performance ratioMinusuri- Animation virtually only in Dutch - Too many prohibitions and surveillance cameras - Shower tickets - Walk-through shower in the indoor poolSimply great for families with childrenThe pitches are laid out on individual meadows around playgrounds, which makes it easier for the children to socialize with others and allows parents to keep a relaxed eye on the little ones. In addition, there are countless other nice playgrounds on the campsite and even at the play lake (a bit small... and low for a bathing lake) there are many opportunities to play. There is also no shortage of sports fields, so there is something for everyone. The campsite borders directly on a forest, which is great for short bike rides, walks or taking the dog for a walk. Otherwise, it's a bit awkward to walk your dog, there are "dog poop areas" but it's a bit silly to put them in a dead end and block the adjacent path for dogs. The indoor and outdoor pool also offers sufficient bathing and playing facilities, but what bothers me is the walk-through shower (open to the bathroom and changing rooms for all genders combined), which prevents you from combining showering directly with bathing. There are also surveillance cameras in both the shower and the changing room, as well as in the washroom. I think that's a bit excessive, as are the pages of instructions with prohibitions and rules. For example, that the small area in the indoor playground is only for children up to the age of 5, and the large area is for children aged 8 and over! This forces you to break the rules. Whereby the large indoor playground is certainly also suitable for fit 3 year olds. But maybe this is also about insurance / licenses etc... but you can't just exclude 6+7 year olds... For showering in the wash house you need a shower pass. We managed with 3 kids in 2 weeks with less than 20 euros, so the costs are limited, but it is very impractical. The shower ticket machines are definitely 1.70m high so that even primary school children who could easily shower on their own are unable to do so. So they either have to go with mom/dad to a family shower or in the open children's showers, which are more for small children. What also bothers me about the wash house are the hand washing machines in front of the toilets. They automatically dispense a little soap foam. Then a few seconds of water and a tiny paper towel. If you don't want to wash your hands this way, you have to go to the wash area. Outside there are also toilets with a normal washbasin, but these are locked when the campsite is not full. Which I don't think is ideal either. Despite the large number of guests, the entertainment is almost exclusively in Dutch. The written station games are also in German. But everything else is only spoken in Dutch. This makes it difficult for the children to take part. Apart from that, the entertainment and other activities during the vacations are very varied and good. (Aquafittness, big fireworks, water slide...) The supermarket has quite a lot of choice and the prices are fair. What is missing a bit is a proper restaurant. There is rather a coffee + snack bar + ice cream parlor and only in the evening there is another snack bar open which also offers pizza. But it's more like a beer table. But the food is okay so far. There are various leisure activities in the area. For example, the Hellendoorn leisure park. Or even boating in Ommen. The Dino Park in Zwolle. The staff at reception are very friendly, both when booking by phone and on site. The pitches are easy to find thanks to good signage. The pitches are very large and equipped with water, waste water and TV connections. The sanitary facilities are spacious and clean. We were traveling... with an ACSI card. The price of €20 included everything except the tourist tax (electricity, showers). The site offers a wide range of activities for children. Shopping facilities in Ommen approx. 7 km and Hardenberg approx. 10 km away. We did not like the snack bar De Schaapskooi, which also offers pizza. The room has the charm of a shooting hall, no proper outdoor seating and the pizza base came ready-made from a foil wrapper. That's how it tastes. Some frozen pizzas are better. We were quite centrally located on the Reiger pitch and we have powerful iPhone 8 smartphones. Nevertheless, the connection... was lost every 30 seconds. It's also only dog-friendly on paper. There are 2 dog toilets and poop bags everywhere, but the dogs are not allowed anywhere. An absolute TOP place for families with small children. Our two (8 and almost 12 years old) obviously had a great time. As there... are of course lots of other families there, it's also easy to make friends and quickly find vacation buddies.
