Not only the XXL pitches are very large, the other pitches also have plenty of space for a pleasant vacation.
All the pitches are surrounded by hedges and offer plenty of privacy and peace and quiet.
The only... disadvantage is the sometimes very narrow access roads to the pitches.
We had to uncouple and move the caravan to the pitch.
The operators should definitely improve this.

The location is on the edge of the village and about 1 km away is the North Sea with a very large beach! The village of Vrouwenpolder has everything you need. A plus market, bakery, fish stall, restaurants, ice cream parlor, pizzeria. There is also a doctor's... surgery there, but we didn't need to use it. Everything is within easy walking distance! The campsite is very well maintained. The pitches are very large and have a grassy surface and are bordered by hedges, which were really green even at Easter. We had a pitch of about 140 square meters. All connections such as electricity, water, waste water were available directly at the pitch and also cable TV, which we did not test. The sanitary facilities were well maintained and always clean and also pleasantly warm, so that you don't freeze to death after showering :) The chemical toilet could be emptied directly behind the sanitary facilities. The operator, who is a full-time farmer, takes great care of everything! He also takes care of the children's entertainment. There was something for the kids every day. Easter egg hunts, Easter crafts and in the evening a ride on the straw trailer with the tractor through the area. There is a play barn with a bouncy castle, table football etc. Of course there is also a playground with an old tractor and trampolines and lots of nature! There are no shops on site, but they are within walking distance. From time to time there is coffee drinking in the afternoon. Booking, reservation in the high season is definitely advisable! The campsite was fully booked at Easter 2019, partly due to the great weather. We booked online and everything worked out perfectly! We'll be back again!Tradus automat.

There are also a large number of restaurants in the town, all of which are highly recommended.If you have rented a bicycle, it is worth riding about 4 km along the dyke in the direction of Kamperland. You will pass the "De Banjaard" beach section, which has already won awards as the most beautiful beach in the Netherlands for several years!A trip to the lake is also recommended, with water skiing facilities and a surfing school for beginners of this sport. Supermarket, restaurants and other shops are just a few minutes' walk away. The beach is approx. 1 km away (but no problem by bike). Despite the proximity to the village, the site is very quiet. The sanitary facilities are... in top condition. This is not only due to the rubber squeegees in the shower and the brushes in the toilets, which are always available (and used by most campers), but rather to the devoted nature of the owner family. The cleaning here is very thorough in the morning. You won't find any dirt or mold here. What's more, Kees (the boss) also takes care of the ongoing maintenance, lawn mowing and children's entertainment himself. For experienced riders there is a good riding center nearby (manege de Eendracht) or for the smaller ones a pony farm in Vrouwenpolder (Fort den Haakweg). Swimming is possible in various pools in the area, but of course also in the North Sea. The Oranjezon nature reserve is recommended for hiking. So that's enough writing. I have to pack for my next vacation. Unfortunately not in Elzenoord this time, as dogs are not allowed in the HS.Tradus automat.

All pitches with well-kept lawns, even at the end of August, almost all pitches separated from each other by slender hedges. Small site, no shopping facilities on site, but small supermarket within easy walking or cycling distance. Some nice... restaurants within walking distance. Toilet paper must be brought along! Beautiful, clean North Sea beach, which offers accessible sea even at low tide, can be reached by bike in 5 minutes.Tradus automat.
Axel R.June 2014Plusuri- Small farm campsite - huge pitches - within walking distance of the center of VrouwenpolderMinusuri- NoneSmall, central farm campsite with some huge pitchesWe were on this site on Ascension Day and Whitsun 2014 and were completely satisfied. Some of the pitches are very large (medium category "Comfort Plus" approx. 140m², highest category "Comfort Super Plus" > 200m²), half-height hedges between the pitches, well-kept lawn, very good value for money. Cars... are parked in their own parking lot. The sanitary facilities are modern, relatively simple, but always very clean. The showers have removable shower heads and there are several individual wash cubicles. WC with soap, but without toilet paper. Very suitable for children of all ages, as there is a playground, a soccer pitch and a very large fruit tree meadow to let off steam. There are also two on-site Kettcars, which are very popular. In bad weather, there is a bouncy castle and a table tennis table in the barn, and you can also play in the hay. Fully equipped communal kitchen with large lounge area on two floors with gallery and TV, several exercise bikes in the loft. Some things seem a little improvised, but everything is lovingly furnished. The owner takes exemplary care of everything, but is a full-time farmer and therefore not always available, but can always be reached by cell phone. Evening tours with the tractor on the trailer. Within walking distance of the center of Vrouwenpolder, where there is a large, well-stocked supermarket and many places to eat. Pancake house "De Heksenketel" directly at the entrance to the village, large selection of pancakes and other dishes, good cuisine, own children's playground. The beach is approx. 1.5 km away via a well-developed cycle path, very wide beach with pirate ship children's playground. Very good connection to the cycle path network, which takes you directly to the "Oranjezon" nature reserve. Extremely well-kept site, very nice operator, also open to feedback. Due to the proximity to the village, all shopping facilities are also available. A barn to play in, bouncy castle, Kettcars, huge area without traffic, quiet despite the kids and of course always the evening kids tractor tour with Kees. - Jochen A.June 2011We have been to Elzennord several times for a long weekend and are always impressed by this top mini-camp: very well-kept site, nice clean sanitary facilities, the owner takes exemplary care of the site. There is a barn with a kitchen, fridge, table tennis and table football, a soccer pitch, trampoline... and other play equipment. The village of Vrouwenpolder can be reached on foot in 3 minutes, there is a large supermarket and some small stores, the beach is 10 minutes away by bike. The area is perfect for walking, cycling and chilling out... We will be back!Tradus automat.
