Happy C.May 2021PlusuriNothingMinusuriDangerous campsiteWieskamp very bad campsite, miserable attitude of the receptionist.I booked a pitch with private sanitary facilities. On arrival, it turned out that there was a large, sunken metal drainage basin in the ground directly in front of the private sanitary facilities for waste water from motorhomes and caravans. This was not indicated on the campsite map. The motorhome must... be parked on the other side of a through road to about 20 campsites. There you are in a kind of parking lot. So if you want to go to your private sanitary facilities, you first have to make sure you don't get hit by a car, and then make sure you don't trip over the sump in the floor. Certainly not unimaginable at night and therefore a dangerously unsafe situation.
Informed the receptionist that we did not want the pitch and that we wanted another pitch. There is no other place and no effort is made to find a solution. The reservation is canceled and my money is refunded. After my comment "Now I can drive 200 km home", they respond with a casual shrug of the shoulders.
It is outrageous that Wieskamp still wants to earn money with such a bad place.

For us, this was "campers paradise". Very nice site with lots of permanent campers... and well-kept pitches, the walk across the site was always nice.
Very friendly staff, bread rolls for sale at reception, restaurant, small swimming pool, playgrounds, everything that makes a camper's heart beat faster.
We've been there several times and will be back again in the future. Great for cycling, beautiful countryside and the town of Winterswijk near the campsite is great for strolling, shopping or just stopping off at one of the many restaurants.

The pitches are well equipped. Water, waste water, electricity, TV and a small but nice sanitary block. Some of the pitches are laid out with artificial turf. The restaurant is expensive for a campsite but also serves really good food. The surrounding area is a dream for cyclists and the IKEA for camping fans, Obelink, is not far away. Mark van DamTradus automat. - Nicole v.September 2017Perfect campsite, even for 1 month in September!We stayed the whole month of September 2017 at the campsite "het Wieskamp", as a bridge to our new house in Winterswijk. We immediately felt welcome by the friendly acquaintance of Marc, the reception staff, but also by the other visitors who were at the campsite. The campsite is fortunately also very... close to Winterswijk, in a very beautiful, green and quiet landscape; so our son could easily go to his new school and shopping was also very easy this way, even on the bike; it is only 10 minutes cycling to the nearest supermarket. Restaurant Antoons is also a very good addition to the campground, here we were able to enjoy delicious food and genuine hospitality several times! Our eight year old son could play in the spacious and varied playground, or in the Kids Club! Thank you for everything and good luck with the camping! Ask in advance to be on the safe side.Recommendation in the AchterhoekWe received a very friendly welcome for our short trip of 5 days, no minimum stay even in high season = very positive. The campsite is divided into the tourist areas of Het Walien, Ravenhorst and Esch, the latter two being aimed more at childless travelers, as they are relatively far away from the busy... center and the playground. Het Walien is a little busier, but you are also close to the action. Great concept, with only private sanitary units. Ours was spotlessly clean on arrival. Beautiful excursion destinations in the surrounding area, such as the Hilgelomeer recreation area (incl. beach). Delicious restaurants on the site itself, both for a snack and for a good evening meal. The van Damm family is very friendly and always available to answer questions! This site is ideal for a vacation with children! In the main season there is entertainment for children by an animation... team, an indoor playground for the little ones, a very large outdoor playground, a youth room for the older ones, a petting zoo, a sports field with volleyball and soccer pitch, an outdoor table football etc. The small swimming pool is also very nice! A small kiosk/ snack bar (for the typical fried Dutch specialties) is just as available as the restaurant Schnitzel Anton! Own sanitary house on the rented pitch.MinusurinoneEverything is fine.Were from 13.10.2016 - 19.10.2016 after 2015 for the 2nd time (this time with 3 caravans) on this campsite. We had reserved 3 places weeks in advance during a very nice conversation by phone because of the fall vacations. The confirmation was immediate. It was just as well because the site was full to... capacity during our stay. We all enjoyed it very much again. The sanitary blocks right next to the caravan are small but perfectly adequate with a shower, toilet and washbasin (as long as you don't go there with the whole family at once). Our 3 sanitary blocks were very clean and well maintained. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The pitches are very spacious. Obelink and beautiful Winterswijk are only a stone's throw away. Everything else has already been written. The price-performance ratio is ok. - Michael G.April 2016PlusuriPeace, peace, peace, small sanitary facilities for your own use only, delicious schnitzel at Antoon, very nice operators, bike-friendly environmentMinusuriPartly somewhat cramped access roadGreat place with a very good restaurantWe stayed at this site for two days at the end of April to do some shopping at Obelink. There are mainly wooden houses on the very quiet site, and there are three pitches for caravans, caravans and tents. Each pitch has its own sanitary facilities, including a toilet, washbasin and shower. These are... clean, somewhat cramped and unfortunately not heated, which is not so pleasant in the cooler months of the year. Nevertheless, it is very comfortable, you can get to the toilet in three steps. The reception is new and attractively designed, and we received a very warm welcome. Although the pitch was well occupied and reserved due to the vacations, they made a great effort to make a pitch available for two more days. Two dogs was no problem, unfortunately I also have to realize that there are dog owners who do not remove the droppings of their dogs despite poop bag dispensers. The access to the site is partly via narrow roads, and it is also a bit narrow on the site, but manageable. There is a small animal enclosure, a large playground and a playhouse. There is also a swimming pool. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see or use everything during our short stay. The restaurant on the site "Zum Antoon" is highly recommended, schnitzel in many variations and super tasty fried potatoes are specialties here. We will certainly come back, it is only 60 km from the Ruhr area. It's very quiet there, and actually not very busy. That's exactly what we like, and then we also have our e-bikes with us, it's great to ride there on bikes.Tradus automat.

Tourist pitches all have their own very simple (shower size like in a caravan/sink/toilet) small sanitary block - ours (pitch 473) was full of mold stains! Bread roll service is offered and a restaurant - open from 16:00 - is also available. The barrier is closed... from 12-13:30 and from 22:00. The reception was closed from 16:00. We paid Euro 22.80 for one night in October with 2 adults/pitch/electricity/internet/TV. The site is closed from November to Easter. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. To Winterswijk by bike about 15 minutes.walk in the nature in front of the campsite.... Restaurant with good food and good prices on site. Bread roll service with many different rolls, bread and cakes. Dogs welcome. pitch for motorhome with grass paving stones and very straight. It's just great here. The actual New Year's Eve in the designated area is hell for children and adults alike. Firecrackers are used which are highly dangerous and do... not fall under the EU regulations, these are thrown at people in large quantities. Rockets more times on the ground court so that almost a girl was hit. The children (several children not just ours) were crying and screaming in fear it was a bit like a war. Our children loved New Year's Eve which changed abruptly after last night. You couldn't use your own firecrackers because you were too scared. Our conclusion is NEVER AGAIN at New Year's Eve time. In contrast, the summer is highly recommended with children great children's programs lots of animation. A camping guest had invited a group who brought the fireworks with them. As soon as I found out on New Year's Eve, we did something about it. We sent the group home.
The next day we went to the camper and told him that this group... was no longer welcome on our campsite. Unfortunately, it was already too late for them. And I am sorry for that. We try to please everyone on our campsite, and fireworks like this are not part of it.
