- Claudia V.July 2019PlusuriNice clean facility with top sanitary facilities, good bread in the small store Top surf store and beach barMinusuriNoneVery nice CP ideal for surfingVery nice and clean campsite. Very nice and helpful reception, especially Frank. We had our pitch for our motorhome right at the top in the back row. Will definitely come back was great. The sanitary facilities were new, modern and very clean. The team at the surf store was also great and the beach bar... served great food at reasonable prices. Excursion to Hyères by bus no problem at all 💕 Tip the big Marché on Saturday. We were totally thrilled 💕Tradus automat.
- Urs W.October 2017Plusuri- 30m from the sea - Modern and clean WC facilities - Very quiet at night - Also open in late fallMinusuri- WLan relatively expensive, 3 days 10 Euro / 7 days 20 EuroIdeal for water sports, cycling or visiting Giens + HyèresThis campsite is still open in October and is very popular with water sports enthusiasts. Stand-up paddling is also very good, as the bay is also windless. The toilet facilities are very new and very clean, the showers are also very comfortable and hot water is always available. The reception is friendly,... the four ladies present all spoke German (although we were of course happy to use our knowledge of French). You can walk to Giens in 5 minutes or take the bus to Hyères in about 15 minutes (1.40 euros per person). The pitches vary in size and are somewhat terraced. In the adjacent mini-market you can get all the groceries you need (including good croissants and baguettes) and in the restaurant you can also eat out at fair prices (good pizza).Tradus automat.
- Doris D.June 2014PlusuriSwimming poolMinusuriCash payment only, small pitches, no direct access to the sea.Okay for one night. In general, all I can say about Hyéres is that it's apparently dead if you don't surf. We were there in the low season and it seems that people here are generally unwilling to open a café etc. Even on the long beach there was nothing like that. You couldn't even find one on the long beach. About the... campsite itself: nice swimming pool, sanitary facilities okay. Pitches quite small. There is a small store and a bar/restaurant, but this is not open during the week. I only find cash payment negative. I agree with the previous writers: the staff is nice, can also speak German, but makes funny faces that you can't interpret and you feel quite "stupid", although you have nothing to "blame" yourself for. It's ok for one night, because otherwise it's dead. Definitely not "our" area and that's why we won't be repeat offenders.Tradus automat.
- S. S.May 2013The rose signs at the entrance to the campsite jump out at you from the road. Why the campsite is awarded 3 or four stars on site is a mystery to me. The staff at reception were friendly and multilingual. Please note: you were only allowed to pay in cash! The restaurant is "lousy". Internet or WLan very... expensive. Hour = 5 euros. There is a small nature reserve within walking distance where you can hike short distances. Otherwise there is almost nowhere to go for a walk along the water because of "private property". The people in the village are not exactly friendly or communicative. The place is dominated by vacation homes whose owners probably live in Marseille. Everything was somehow deserted and very unfriendly and inhospitable. The pitch was soggy from the rain, a horror for tents. The restaurant was extremely uncomfortable. If you can, avoid the site in bad weather. Sanitary facilities were clean and ok. There are other campsites nearby. I just ask myself, what do you want in the area?Tradus automat.
- Jean T.April 2012Disappointed with our stay at the Giens international campsite: staff bordering on politeness, reception staff only interested in the cash drawer, cleanliness problems... We won't be coming back :-(Tradus automat.
- Tina J.March 2012A nice place near the sea, albeit without a direct view. However, I cannot recommend it unreservedly. When we arrived, the site had just opened for the season and we found a nice quiet pitch. The sanitary building nearby was still closed at first, after the opening there were problems with supply and... waste water for about 5-6 days (non-functioning toilet flushes, cold shower and flush water), later everything worked normally. The pitches have recently been enlarged, but maneuvering with a caravan > 5m is not for beginners. Unfortunately, after the renovation, about 20 screws and nails about 10cm long were left on the pitches and path in our lane alone, which could easily become a "tire tester". On arrival (no reservation) we indicated that we wanted to stay for about 1 week, there was a frown, but no further comment. When we then wanted to (silently) extend our stay for 2 days due to heavy rain, a receptionist came to the campsite and suggested that we should leave after these 2 days at the latest (the vacations had started and the campsite was almost full). So far, so good. The fact that you can only pay with cash on this site (YES, it's on the door, but I would never think of not being able to pay with a debit card on a site of this size) almost made my personal barrel overflow on the day of departure, I didn't get an invoice or receipt either. Conclusion: actually not a bad place, but in my opinion not worth 4 stars. Very popular with surfers, therefore quite crowded during the vacation season.Tradus automat.
- pab f.October 2011We stayed in mobilhomes and had a very good time, the mobilhome was very well structured and equipped. The staff very friendly. The pool, restaurant and playground air more than satisfactory. I would never go in a tent, though, as there is no well-defined tent area. Positive are the pitches for campers and caravans. Located 20 mt from the sea.Tradus automat.
