This meant that at least 20 times a day the men and kids walked through the plot I had rented, without any regard for the table,... chair or washing line. This is written in the camping rules, but apparently not everyone reads them. The footballs often landed on and next to my camper, there should be clear ball game areas here. Rest periods and rules are not adhered to further back, or are self-defined by the guests present.
The hospitality of the campsite refers to the factual check-in and when questions arise in the office, which are only answered sitting down, but not satisfactorily resolved.
When I asked about the lack of WiFi, I was told to go to where the four bars are displayed. This was only the case on a staircase between two plots of the permanent campers/pitches above. Not a good solution for route planning and searching for route points. Otherwise you are on your own here. Cell phone network vodafone only very poor.
Often smoke in the camper due to the barbecues and fire bowls, even at night with the ventilation window open. Very unpleasant if you want to sleep.
One of the showers (left) has a defective shower head that only splashes against the wall.
Showers cost €0.50 for 4 minutes, whether hot or cold. Not a drop of water comes out without payment.
This should be included in the price per person and stand costs. Cold showers don't cost the earth and should be free.
One person with garbage (1€ per day) and electricity (3€ per day) in a campervan costs 27.60€ for 2 nights.

Remote and quiet also means that larger shopping facilities are 7-10 km away. There is a bread roll service and a small store on site, but you have to study the notices and notices - which are very numerous due to Corona... - very carefully. Then you also have to be aware that Wednesday afternoon is a day off. The staff are there, but unfortunately you can no longer order bread rolls, which should have been done in the morning. That's a bit strange. In general, there is room for improvement in terms of communication and information. Cleanliness: Cleaning is done once a day. OK. In the current situation with Corona and fully occupied space ... hm? Corona hygiene concept sanitary: Access is limited to 4 people. Hand sanitizer is generously available. Unfortunately there are hardly any shady pitches. At a good 30 degrees even in the shade of the awning quite hot. The sanitary facilities with only one cleaning per day not always clean. Unusual for Corona times, but even if there were no stricter hygiene regulations, 2-3... cleanings per day are certainly not too much. Otherwise, friendly staff, both at reception and in the beer garden. The choice of food is somewhat limited, but we had schnitzel with chips and a side salad. The meat was still juicy, the breading crispy and the chips fresh. We enjoyed it very much. The campsite is very quiet, and it wasn't noisy despite the high occupancy.Tradus automat.

The spacious pitches are all easy to access. Each pitch has its own fresh water point and waste water outlet. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years, but were clean... during our stay. Showers 50 C for 4 minutes. Shopping facilities are available in Gössweinstein, 6 kilometers away. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, this is the right place without internet. Tip for WW: Don't pay attention to the navigation system in Pottenstein. The easiest "ascent" is via Tüchersfeld, signposted from here!Tradus automat.

The campsite is easily accessible and is located away from the hustle and bustle north of Pottenstein in the heart of Franconian Switzerland. The campsite is laid out on two... terraced levels, the lower of which is occupied by permanent campers who are friendly and unobtrusive. The pitches are all well over 100 square meters in size and offer electricity, fresh water and a drain for waste water. There is a central sanitary facility, which is sometimes full and therefore causes waiting times. There are two showers and four washbasins in the men's area. There are two separate toilets and three urinals. Coins are required for showering. Overall, the cleanliness and facilities in the sanitary area could be improved. The on-site restaurant offers home-style cooking at reasonable prices, which is a major advantage of the location. Nothing stands in the way of a cool beer in the evening. In addition to the morning bread roll service, a kiosk offers everything campers need in a pinch. The staff are friendly throughout, even if they seem rather reserved most of the time.Tradus automat.- J. The site consists of 2 double rows, the lower half is reserved for (civilized) permanent campers, the upper half for tourists. Half of this is partly gravel, situated on the edge of the forest,... the other half is pure meadow, very sunny with few trees. All pitches have water and waste water, even chemicals should be disposed of here! Dog walk directly in the forest, large tent meadow with fire pit. Generally very quiet. Sanitary clean and well-kept, but only 2 showers and sitting toilets for the men - in the previous season it was enough. 50 Ct for a 4 minute shower. Operator quite friendly, small restaurant with simple dishes. (Tip: very good food in the "Försterstube" in Pottenstein in an elegantly converted cowshed). Bread rolls can be ordered in advance, supermarkets in beautiful Gößweinstein, 8 km. The place is ideal for relaxing, as a starting point for hikes, e.g. around Pottenstein or Gößweinstein, or climbing, but is not itself on designated hiking trails.Tradus automat.

The CP is big enough and the pitch is also perfectly adequate with all the necessary connections. My only negative point, however, which makes the stay somehow unpleasant is the mood of the ladies, friendly greeting... equal to zero and also otherwise to all inquiries short answer and a look that one would rather refrain from further questions, I have noticed how they dealt with the permanent campers, Wow, they were still friendly with us. In any case, such unfriendliness is very unappealing. The place is really nice, but unfortunately this kind of thing ruins everything. We would definitely not come back.Tradus automat.

The upper row of pitches for tourists has spacious pitches with separate electricity, water and toilet disposal on site (we found the latter more unpleasant than comfortable). The site seems to be less popular out of season. The... cordiality of the host family is limited. The two showers per gender are poorly ventilated, so that even a single use causes all surfaces to steam up to the point of unusability. The water jet is so strongly directed towards the wall that the user repeatedly bumps into the tap, which is not adjustable. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. All in all, the beautiful and quiet location outweighs the disadvantages mentioned.Tradus automat.

(But that's not a really bad problem!)Whitsun weekend 2016 at the Jurahöhe campsiteWe decided to visit the Jurahöhe campsite for Whitsun this year (2016) at relatively short notice, as the weather forecast for Whitsun was pretty bad and there was a thermal bath and a cave nearby for activities in the rain, and it is also permitted to use fire bowls on the site, and these can even be... hired. First of all, the decision to stay at the Jurahöhe campsite was a very good one. Overall, the site makes a very well-kept impression. Each pitch has a water, electricity and even a waste water connection. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and tidy. The only thing I find out of date are the coin-operated showers. If the price for the average shower was added to the price per person, I would personally think that would be better, but of course I don't want to interfere in the business practices of the operators. But that's the only negative point I could find. It was noticeable that, at least on this Whitsun weekend, particularly pleasant and friendly campers visited the site, with whom it was easy to strike up a conversation. A visit to the campsite's own restaurant (above the reception) is highly recommended. Hearty Franconian cuisine at very moderate prices in a cozy atmosphere. (You almost had a guilty conscience when you cooked or barbecued yourself ;) ) The trip to the Obersees thermal baths was ideal on the rainy Whit Sunday. Otherwise Pottenstein is of course well worth a visit. At the end we visited the Devil's Cave and then had a snack in the trout restaurant there. Always a successful combination. Conclusion: The Jurahöhe campsite is worth a visit, especially if you value peace and quiet, because it is really wonderfully peaceful there. The site is located on 2 levels. The lower one is occupied by permanent campers. The upper one is for vacationers. There are 2 tent meadows at the end of the elongated area. The tourist pitches on the upper level are all parceled out (approx. 100 m2). Each pitch has its own fresh... water tap and electricity connection. Each 2 pitches has its own disposal facility for the toilet directly on the pitch. The sanitary facilities were only cleaned once a day, but were always clean due to the low occupancy. Only 2 of the tourist pitches were occupied on 2 days, and a maximum of 12 pitches on the other days. The site is absolutely quiet, even in the high season. The price/performance ratio is ok. Lunch break from 12:30 to 14:30. We were on site at 12:45 and had to wait until 14:30 until someone came. The owner just said - I'll open up now. We waited in vain for a hello or good day. After filling out the registration form, I presented my ADAC camping card as proof of identity. This was not accepted. When I asked why, the only answer was - I need my identity card. Some of the signage also lacked a friendly tone. Want a taste? There is a sign in the men's restroom that reads: The window stays open - The groundskeeper. Somehow this tone reminds me of my time in the army. Anyone who - unlike me - can ignore such signs and doesn't value a friendly word is in good hands here. By the way - Tuesday is a day off. Nothing works then. Reception closed. I've seen 3 arriving guests leave the campsite myself. Once they were unlucky that they came on Tuesdays and twice they didn't want to wait until the reception finally opened again at lunchtime. They were not told to look for a pitch themselves in the meantime. Shaking their heads, they drove to the next campsite.Tradus automat.

The tourist area is not parceled out, it's a few steps to the wash house and the hygiene wasn't the best. The staff is nice though, the bread service worked and the food in the restaurant was good. The playground is getting on in years, but as a starting point for one or two hikes you can certainly come here again. However, I don't see it as a place for a long vacation.Tradus automat.
