In the nearby village there is a bakery, butcher's shop, a restaurant and a small spar (all closed on Mondays). Very good for relaxing away from the crowds on the Mediterranean. Renate G.October 2015PlusuriConvenient for visits to Carcassonne Clean and well maintainedMinusuriPoor WiFiStill open in OctoberThe site is conveniently located for a visit to Carcassonne. Very few guests in October. The reception is not always manned, so to avoid delays on departure, it's best to pay on arrival. We spent two quiet nights here. There is a sports field next door, so you can hear some noise during the day, but... otherwise the site is very quiet. The pitches are pleasantly large, but the paths on the pitch itself are very narrow, so you have to be careful with your caravan. Overall relatively small, there are also tents and cabins to rent. The sanitary facilities are ok so far, unisex, but there are only 2 (!) toilets for the whole site and no toilet paper. However, the whole site makes a well-kept impression. In the summer season there are also various offers. The owner is friendly. There is free WiFi, but the reception is miserable. Bread rolls etc. are available at the Spar supermarket within walking distance.Tradus automat.- Christine K.May 2015Enchanting location and quietBeautiful, very well-kept and quiet site. However, some pitches require at least 20m of cable. Nature walks possible from the site gate. Shopping in the village on foot not so exhilarating, as there is a lot of through traffic and narrow sidewalks. In addition to the Spar mentioned by the previous commentator,... the local butcher deserves special mention: Set up like in a time warp and with nothing on display, he has conjured up a uniquely hung faux fillet from his wood-paneled historic refrigerator.Tradus automat.
- Franz S.June 2011Spacious pitches on a green lawn, a little too little shade in places. Small, manageable site with a good restaurant and extremely friendly staff. Wonderfully warm pool, baby pool also available. Facilities first class (but why do they always have to clean the showers in the morning???) Best location... for Carcassonne - only 20 minutes by car - and other sights in the Aude. Catering in the small but well-stocked SPAR market 500m away in the village Excellent price/performance ratio: 2+2+tent+car: 26.50 euros.Tradus automat.
