- Olaf R.September 2019PlusuriLocationMinusuriClosed too earlyGood CP for a stopoverWe didn't realize that the season was already over for many people at the beginning of September. The campsite was still open, but at 7:30 pm the gate was closed. So we stood in the parking lot in front of it and took a look at the services of the campsite on foot! Sanitary facilities quite OK, but no separation between male and female. We can't judge much more than that. But the location on the lake is very attractive!Tradus automat.
- Barbara W.August 2019PlusuriFantastically quiet location, if you're just passing through, you'll be happy to stay a few more days.MinusuriNoneQuiet place with lots of natureVery well-kept site in an absolutely quiet location. The nearby town of Limoges is 20 minutes away by car and shopping in Ambazac is about 5 minutes away. Unfortunately you can no longer swim in the lake, but a walk around the lake takes 40 minutes with the dog and is highly recommended. The campsite... operator (speaks fluent German) makes every effort to run a nature-friendly campsite. The sanitary facilities have been renovated after the takeover a few years ago, but should still be improved - they are very clean, but there is still some room for improvement... Bread roll service on the site and minimum provision at the registration desk.Tradus automat.
- Alfons L.September 2017PlusuriFamily-run, small campsiteVery nice placeBeautifully laid out and well-kept site on a lake, very quiet. Close to the charming village of Ambasac with all shopping facilities. Approx. 30 minutes by car to Limoges. Mobile homes and pitches sensibly mixed. Family-run, very friendly, warm-hearted and of course multilingual, English and German. Sanitary facilities meet French standards.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping L'Ecrin Nature September 21, 2017Dear Alfons,
Thank you very much for your review and we are glad that you enjoyed the atmosphere, the "philosophy" of our family campsite. We hope to see you next time! S. and W.Tradus automat. - Jens B.August 2017PlusuriVery fair price Large pitches easy to reach. Quiet place Friendly operatorsVery nice, small and family-run campsite. We stayed at this site for 2 nights on the outward and 1 night on the return tour in summer 2017 on our way to the Atlantic. We received a warm welcome and were allocated a lovely pitch. The operator speaks very good German and was happy to help with questions about the region. There was a lovely heated... pool with sun loungers and parasols. The showers and washing facilities are fine. The campsite is located on a lake which is not open for swimming. The nearest shop is a Super U in Ambazac 5 minutes away. We will certainly return to this campsite for other overnight stays.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping L'Ecrin Nature September 21, 2017Dear Jens,
Thank you for your kind words and for our nice conversations! Due to our geographical location, a stopover with us on the way to the Atlantic should be a "must" :) ... Your summary reflects our life project L'Ecrin Nature and our philosophy : thank you and we hope to see you next time.
S. and W.Tradus automat. - Leonie S.August 2017PlusuriQuiet, clean, close to the A20, German-speaking, good price-performance ratioMinusuriNo surf waves ;-)Small but niceIt was only supposed to be just one night on the way to the Atlantic - it turned out to be three and we stopped again on the way back :-) Absolutely quiet and relaxed small campsite on the shore of a lake (unfortunately no bathing lake, but it's only 15 minutes away by car). Site is clean and has everything... you need (even a small pool), owner speaks super good German and has great tips for the surrounding area, stores, Super-U and gas station 5 minutes by car. The area is perfect for hiking (okay, not my thing ;-) or mountain biking and swimming (lake or river!). Will definitely be our permanent stopover on the way to surfing and back!Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Camping L'Ecrin Nature September 21, 2017Dear Leonie,
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. It will always be a pleasure to welcome you to our campsite ! Should we reserve pitch N° 35 in advance ? :)
See you next time,

- An G.September 2013Discovered by chance last year. A little insider tip! New, very clean facility - not far from the A20. Stéphanie and Warner (speaks very good German) are very friendly and know the region very well - give lots of tips. The site is in a quiet and idyllic location. The hiking region of Ambazac, which starts right outside the entrance, is beautiful. You can be in Limoges or at the lake in no time. We will be back!Tradus automat.
