Unfortunately our neighbors were barbecuing with an open fire and chopping wood from Thursday to Sunday and all the smoke drifted onto the pitch.
There was no staff to clarify the situation for 4 days and a sign with a fire ban was right next to it!!! I am also not a fan of paying for the pitch on arrival!!!!
Burgers were good and the price was ok.Tradus automat.- Maria T.August 2024PlusuriOriginal site on the Vltava reservoir with lots of opportunities for children, fire allowed, generously laid out, at the end of the lake near a large tourist village with lots of activities. In the morning from 7 a bakery offers delicious, affordable goods - unfortunately the queue is always very longMinusuriSanitary facilities unacceptable, cabins too small and unsightly (in 3 days we have not seen any cleaning staff) hot water with chip. Dishwashing area has 0 storage space for the washed dishes, is very small for the large space and unfortunately the hot water is cold in the evening due to the crowds. They are not so strict with the rest periods. The price is totally exaggerated for what is on offer.Very large, unfortunately also very expensive spaceAt peak travel time - vacations in the Czech Republic too - the site was very full (our preferred site in Frymburk was overcrowded)
the "signposting" of the pitch was unclear, so that we had to move again shortly after setting up because we were too far away from the neighboring pitch (was not visible... on the plan).
In the 2nd row by the lake, we had a view of the lake from the side and motorhomes in front of us.
There is no store on the site, but it is easy to reach by bike in 600m, in the middle of the Lipno Modrin vacation paradise, so it is very busy.
The site is an uneven meadow with few trees, but many different pitches and categories. Next to us were "wagon castles" with families and lots of children, the noise level was kept within limits. However, from around 8pm, the nearby Lipno center resounded across the lake at disco volume - until 10pm.
The outdated sanitary facilities were uncomfortable and uninviting. Showers too small and in need of renovation. Toilets too.
The grill restaurant offers the opportunity to have a picnic, even outside opening hours. The burger was delicious.
The biggest drawback was the exorbitant price. We paid 4590czk = approx. 190.-€ for 3 nights
Too bad, you can make very nice bike tours and excursions in the area, the Bohemian Forest in this area is wonderful. Nevertheless, it didn't feel crowded. The campsite has everything you need. The various sports facilities are also great. The only thing is that there is no small grocery store.
There is a good overall tourist concept in the village.
The main points of criticism... from the last reviews no longer exist:
-There is plenty of toilet paper in every cabin
-there is a chip for the hot water, you just always have to press an extra button for it
-the staff make an effort to speak German or English

The site is beautifully situated by the reservoir. Hot water is only available for a fee. The sanitary facilities are clean! But a fat person should not use this toilet, as he would... have problems with the door, because then you can no longer close it, because the body is in the way!!! Staff at reception not exactly the most polite! Place outrageously expensive, cost about 41 €/night. You can't get anywhere with the German language on this campsite, only English! We were glad that we went to another site the next day and we won't be visiting this site again! So we wondered why there was nothing going on at this campsite!Tradus automat.

There is also plenty of space for the kids to let off steam. A Czech band played in the evening (until 11.30pm), which we really enjoyed. The lake itself is rather brown/green and cloudy, so if you're disgusted, you should go on vacation somewhere else. Dogs are also... allowed to refresh themselves here, which was of course a treat for our Labrador. What really bothered us was that the pitch itself is expensive (96 euros for 2 adults, 2 children and dog for 2 nights) and then I have to pay for hot water and don't even have proper toilet paper in the cubicle (there is a paper dispenser in front of the W's). In addition, the pretty young ladies at reception were unresponsive and the check-in and check-out process was generally very long and tedious. Conclusion: nice anyway, but expensive and unfriendlyTradus automat.

The pitches are very spacious and the site is clean. Depending on where you stand, the paths to the sanitary facilities can be a little longer, as can the fresh water.Tradus automat.

A small diner on the other side of the camp where they don't have anything (rolls) but do some quick breakfasts etc. The sanitary facilities were as far away as they could be and the water connection was still being built, so fetching water was terrible. The hot water... for bathing doesn't flow and you pay 20Kč for that, same with the "hot" for washing dishes 20Kč. This is something you can only experience here. Ubiquitous noise from the youth, who are competing to see who has the radio playing more. One night was enough. Next time we will avoid this campsite.Tradus automat.

Unfortunately there is no water tap anywhere on the pitches and the sanitary facilities can be a bit far away. You always have to pay for the hot water whether brushing your teeth, washing, showering or washing dishes! But the advantage... is that you don't need a car, because you can walk to the chairlift and roller coaster etc. in 5 minutes, .... but you always have to reckon with extra costs. On the whole, however, very nice.Tradus automat.
- Frank R.August 2013A clean site right on the lake, friendly staff with good knowledge of English and German, clean sanitary facilities, restaurant on site. A note to all electricity users, the sockets have the Czech standard (with additional pin), i.e. you have to make sure that you can only use newer Schuko plugs with... a hole at the front. I also used the trip to Krumlov to buy plugs (there were none in Lipno) and then had to convert the cable drum. Otherwise we were very satisfied, especially with the good recreational opportunities in the area, e.g. cycling, hiking, paddling on the Vltava and lake. In Lipno (about 700m away) you can also experience a lot and also eat well. We will certainly be back.Tradus automat.

L.July 2011Large pitch, pitch is simply allocated to you although you want a different one, this is not possible.You have to pay extra for the shower and there is no possibility to set the desired temperature, you also have to pay extra with a previously loaded and paid chip if you want to have warm water for rinsing,... fire place almost at every tent, romantic but a very big smell/smoke nuisance, reception hardly understands German, English is also very poor, even with inquiries by mail you don't get a single question answered correctly, pitch can only be paid in CZK, no bank transfer payment possible and everything in advance, don't want to know if you leave a day earlier what will happen then. The positive thing was that you can stay as long as you want on the day of departure, you just have to give the chip (500 CZK insert) to the reception beforehand, otherwise you can keep it! Location to the bike paths very good, shopping possibility about 500 meters at the Coop market also possible on Sunday, pastries on Sunday at the innkeeper on the square, good offer for it and cheap. No toilet paper in the toilets, only cold water for washing and shaving - fantastic if your beard is longer and you shave wet! Basically a good place, but in conversations with people who have been there often and for years, nothing has ever changed, nothing has been invested either in the shower/hot water area, etc. Great! I was charged for a total of 5 of the 8 showers I bought and only 2 that I actually used, when I complained they unfortunately didn't understand me again (neither in D nor in E) If the place wasn't so well located, due to the staff and showers there, I would certainly not go there and pay a few € more and go to the place in Friedburk (5 km away), which is under NL management, but unfortunately is usually overcrowded.Tradus automat.

The sanitary facilities have never been as clean as this year. On the negative side, we found the language difficulties at reception and that we were robbed on the first night. - Jana B.July 2010The campsite is nice, it's quite quiet. Suitable for children. Otherwise, the organisation at the campsite is terrible. There's only one toilet for the whole camp. The hot water in the showers cannot be regulated (one afternoon it was so hot that you couldn't get in). Rubbish strewn around the bins (not enough bins), queue on arrival all the way outside and only one lady manning the reception desk. But it's still beautiful.Tradus automat.
