Vacation park / camping on inland waters near Verneuzen
The Vakantiepark (vacation park) Marina Beach also offers camping pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Unfortunately, the wash houses are sometimes very far away from the pitches. The wash houses themselves are well-known standard models (men on the right, women on the left, wash / wash up in... the middle) but clean and tidy. The main business is undoubtedly the vacation park's rental accommodation. The site has a supermarket, restaurant, marina, children's play paradise, swimming pool and much more. (we only stayed one night). Season price (July) € 38.50 for 2 p. / camper / electricity / night. The site is located on an inland waterway, both camping areas have direct access to the water. Shopping facilities in Verneuzen, supermarket supply on the site incl. baked goods and smoothies. Some live music in the restaurant, lots of children's activities.

Nice location but...
The location of Vakantiepark Marina Beach is quite OK. It is 12 km to the beach in Breskens or Groede. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The campsite itself is designed for permanent campers, which is reflected in the distribution of the duration to the rental pitches. The playground is old, partly... unusable and in some places even dangerous for children, absolutely in need of renovation. The sanitary facilities are also ripe for renovation, apart from a more modern one. The food is mostly limited to fast food. The rental accommodation was poorly cleaned on arrival. The fun pool shown in the internet advertisement is 12 km away (Terneuzen), which is also in urgent need of renovation. All in all a maximum of 2 stars.

We liked it there very much, our children had fun all day and were only out to meet other children, so we had a heavenly peace, even at night it was very quiet, the sanitary facilities were clean, the staff very nice and always helpful, even if our children 20 times asked something, we will definitely go there again in 2012.

The sanitary facilities are used, open, old and unheated. The gastronomy was completely closed from Sept. 10 (end of vacation in NL). The playground at the lake partly unusable, swimming pool in the neighboring village, partly own transfer.
