larger townTradus automat. - Torben H.October 2020PlusuriThe location / the nice owners / the peace and quiet / the picnic benches for everyoneMinusuriSanitary not heated in OctoberA little paradiseVery nice operators who also made sure that we still got to the site despite our late arrival. The location is great, right on the lake and close to the beautiful zoo. The bakery van comes from Tuesday to Saturday and there was also another one with cheese and sausage. There are no other shopping facilities... in the village, but there is a very good restaurant within walking distance. The pitches are large and level. Nice picnic benches with a view of the water...even if this was already pretty much gone in October. Sanitary facilities were always clean and adequate. Unfortunately not heated which could be improved. We liked it very much and will be back!Tradus automat.
- Stefan Ludwig M.June 2018PlusuriLocationMinusuriSee ratingNot recommendedSmall campsite, beautifully located directly on the Stockweiher between the cemetery wall and the lake with two rows of pitches. First row occupied by permanent campers or with a bit of luck and goodwill from the operator, who we found to be arrogant, very limited. Sanitary facilities are mixed for both... sexes, water temperature in the showers cannot be regulated, chemical toilet sinks directly next to the dishwashing sinks, sanitary cleaning once a day. Condition and structure of the pitches 2 stars.Tradus automat.
- wilhelm v.July 2017PlusuriQuiet location, ideal for relaxingMinusuriSwimming in the lake is not permittedSmall family place by the lakeSmall site on the lake, two rows of pitches on the lakeshore below the idyllic church, which is illuminated from the inside in the evening. Pitches on grass, no boundaries. Pitches can be chosen. Mainly Saarlanders, some permanent campers on the direct lakeside pitches, very small (only 2 showers and... toilets each), but clean and yet adequate sanitary building. Own jetty. Swimming in the lake is prohibited here and elsewhere on the lake. Reason not clear (motorboats?), but was tolerated. However, a lot of algae and underwater plants, so that swimming in the shore area was hardly possible, also rather unclean water. Nice, German-speaking operators. Small store with basic necessities on the village street open in the mornings. Many small roads for cycling in the surrounding area, although some of them are very hilly.Tradus automat.
- A. R.September 2016PlusuriThe view of the lake.MinusuriSavoir vivreNice placeI was there in the off-season. A lovely place, lots of Saarlanders, three or four tents, a few camper vans. In high summer it may be very noisy and restless there, but in the off-season it was pure idyll. You could go swimming, it was very warm. However, there are virtually no shopping facilities, only... the bakery van or the supermarkets in Saarebourg. Normally a knock-out criterion, but I stayed anyway because of the beautiful church and the lovely lake. Unfortunately, you can't rent a bike or a canoe either - you have to bring everything with you. Nevertheless, it was a great experience to camp there.Tradus automat.
- Jürgen B.July 2016Plusuri(actually) quiet, close to nature, a small CP.MinusuriNo bathing facilitiesSmall fine CPI would like to agree with the previous speakers about the positive arguments. I had contacted them by email a few days before and made a reservation. This was no problem because the courteous lady at reception speaks very good German. Most of the guests were German at the time. I also found it very... pleasant that the COMPLET sign was hung on the gate when there was really still room. Other campsites would certainly have squeezed almost twice as many campers into the space. I was mainly there to try out my tiny inflatable boat with electric drive, which was also great because of the slipway. As a tip, if you want to behave correctly, you need a life jacket (the larger ones then probably also an anchor, boarding aid), better inform yourself beforehand. One point of criticism is that you are not allowed to swim at the campsite. The reason is probably the motorboat operation. As I could see with my own eyes, there are not only Sunday drivers by car but also yacht owners. Instead of simply casting off backwards, the boat was turned through 90° with the "grappling hook" and then driven onto the jetty at full throttle, probably confusing forwards and backwards. Good thing there was no swimmer in the water. The only bathing spot we went to by car was in Langratte, so we could have saved ourselves the time and effort. Another point of criticism goes to some "guests" who think they have to entertain the place with their singing when they are drunk. As the reception is only there at very limited times, it was not possible to intervene. If possible, we will go again, but then with an entry aid for the boat so that we can jump into the water in safer places. What we didn't use were our bikes, which would certainly have been good for riding along the canals.Tradus automat.
- I. G.September 2011the site is beautifully situated with a wonderful view over the pond. nice and quiet, without a noisy road - the only disturbance was the church bell right next to the campsite (ringing from 7am to 9pm). we had a free choice of pitches on the spacious site with our tent and bike (probably also because... it was low season). the site management is very unproblematic and trustworthy (pitch your tent where you want and put the fee in the mailbox :-) the sanitary facilities are simple but clean (bring your own toilet paper) and we even had a covered seating area (benches and tables are also available).Tradus automat.
