Directly on good cycle paths, small site with large parking spaces

Very nice little CP
We were there for 2 nights to ride our road bikes, which is ideal from here as we only have a 1.5 hour drive. Beautifully situated on the lake. Small village with bakery, good pizza service and a Super U nearby. It was ideal for our wishes. We would love to come back.

The entrance is easy to miss as it is identical to the entrance to the public bathing lake. The staff are very friendly. The numbered pitch is difficult to find as there are hardly any markings on the pitch. Bathing lake has good water quality. Campers and permanent campers are together at the back of the site - it was very noisy at the weekend. Strasbourg is easily accessible by train, train station is 2km from the CP.

Cozy campsite with a beautiful location
The two of us were able to go to Gambsheim for a relaxing weekend at this beautifully situated campsite. At check-in, we decided on a quiet spot for our tent. Despite our modest knowledge of French, the friendly man at reception helped us with everything that was important to us. We were able to pitch... our tent on a spacious meadow right next to the lake. The lake looks beautiful in the evening. The sanitary facilities are not modern, but sufficient. The staff cleaned the bathrooms and toilets several times a day.

Beautifully situated camp ground with super friendly staff
This quiet campground is situated next to a beautiful little lake on the outskirts of Gambsheim, you don't expect it to be so cozy :-). We came on bikes with kids and a tent and really enjoyed the peace of the place. The bathrooms and showers are not necessarily the strongest points of the camp ground but acceptable. The staff was super super friendly.

The price is high for a camper van, 2 people, electricity, hot showers, toilet disposal, no gray water disposal pit. 20€ a night So we've been coming here every year at Whitsun for a good 15-20 years. This year for the first time by bus. The sanitary facilities still leave a lot to be desired. They are... renovated from time to time but the cleanliness is lacking at the back and front. The toilets and showers are probably cleaned once in the morning. The partitions should actually be wiped down daily. My impression is that this happens maybe every 2 weeks. You have to bring your own toilet paper. Flushing ok. Large Super U supermarket at the end of the village (approx. 2 km). My conclusion The campsite in Bug near Bamberg is the purest luxury for the same price.
