- Vero N.August 2023PlusuriBeautiful grounds, beautiful lakeMinusuriIf you ask politely for something or a child cries, you are insulted and sent off.Aggressive boss, children unwantedWe would like to warn all families about this campsite. Had an extremely bad experience.
One evening the owner was partying with extremely loud music; our children couldn't sleep and my son (13yo) asked at about 9:45pm how much longer the music would go on. Whereupon a drunken man (who turned out to... be the "boss") sent him away with aggressive words. We parents then politely asked if it could be turned down and the man insulted us and told us to pack up and be gone in 1 hour.
Of course, we couldn't just take down the tent in the middle of the night and so the children spent the night in fear that the man might do something to us. Thank God that wasn't the case, but the next evening when our youngest cried loudly for about 10 minutes because he was tired and couldn't be calmed down, the man (this time sober) actually came to our tent, started swearing at us again and told us to leave the site immediately because our child was crying.
We will of course never come back and can only advise everyone not to camp here until the tenant changes. He seems to react aggressively to children in particular.
It's a shame, otherwise the site was okay, the facilities, especially the lake, are beautiful; a little older (e.g. the suspension of one shower was broken) but that wouldn't have bothered us.Tradus automat. - Bernhard K.August 2020PlusuriThe location and the beautiful lakeMinusuriThe sanitary facilities extremely outdated and unappetizing! The unfriendly and very unpleasant nature of the tenant!Very unfriendlyWe were on the dog side of the site in August with our camping trailer.
There were also some gypsies on the site who spent half the night arguing and were very loud.
I've known the campsite since 1966 but the cleanliness was
cleanliness and friendliness has never been so bad!Tradus automat. - Gerhard M.August 2020PlusuriLocationMinusuriFriendliness, cleanlinessUnfortunately declining quality and friendlinessWe have been coming here for many years. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and the friendliness, especially of the tenant himself, leave a lot to be desired.
Paper towels, soap and disinfectant are rarely or never replenished. A nogo at this price!
After I parked my small motorhome... on the allocated pitch so that I was facing the sun, I was snapped at (i.e. told in an unfriendly manner) that I should stand parallel to the other campers; after asking if this was a joke, I was told that I could go straight home again if I didn't like it.
It's a shame, we've spent many wonderful days here with our friends in the past. I won't be coming back, and our friends probably won't eitherTradus automat. - herbert p.June 2018PlusuriGood location, great pitches also directly on the lake, nice staff and very good restaurant with a great price / performance ratioMinusuri...........?????Beautiful CP - pure oasis of peaceThe location of the campsite is simply perfect! - Situated directly on the lake and surrounded by greenery, this campsite invites you to relax. Can only warmly recommend this campsite - the pitches are spacious. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but always clean. Very nice reception and you can... usually choose your own pitch. The restaurant on site is also highly recommended - great value for money!!! - The surrounding nature invites you to go hiking, cycling etc. - simply to feel good!!!Tradus automat.
- Thomas K.August 2016PlusuriBeautiful lake, great sunbathing lawn, a pleasant place, no dogs swimming.MinusuriCleaning lady could make more of an effort.Beautiful placeThe campsite is an insider tip for those looking for peace and nature. The pitches are on the large side. Thanks to the large sunbathing lawn, there is plenty of space to enjoy the sun even in high season. The separate area of the pitches for dog owners is very pleasant. Dogs are also not allowed on... the beach or the sunbathing lawn. The hosts at the campsite are very friendly and make an effort to look after their guests. I can't share the opinion about the boss, he was friendly and everything went really well. Quite the opposite of the cleaning lady. She is very unfriendly and only cleans superficially. But I will still come back.Tradus automat.
- Reinhard L.July 2016PlusuriFamiliar, quiet, clean and well-kept.Minusurinone, we really like it!completely satisfiedAs permanent campers at the site for 4 years now, it is pure relaxation for us, quiet, informal, with excellent food. We will come back again and again!Tradus automat.
- Cora D.July 2016PlusuriLocation, pitches, hiking trails around the lakeMinusuriWC facilities, cleanliness, bathing facilities for dogsCamping at the RauscheleseeThe site itself offers beautiful, spacious pitches. After our arrival, we were shown free pitches from which we could choose our pitch. It should be noted that you are automatically directed to the rear part of the site if you arrive with a dog. The front area of the campsite with the beautiful pitches... (lake view) and the only sunbathing lawn on the campsite are signposted with a dog ban. As we had read on the internet that dogs have their own access to the water, we went in search of it. There is a nice circular path through the forest around the lake, but the halfway accessible places to the lakeshore were blocked most of the time by anglers, who looked at you askance if you came near them with your dog. What a shame! Swimming with your dog is almost impossible, especially if you have children with you. There is no shallow access to the lake on accessible shores where dogs would be allowed. The price for dogs is €2/day - but nothing is offered in return. A waste bag dispenser or garbage can for dog waste on site would be desirable. There is a lot of dog waste in the meadow in the parking lot in front of the campsite. The obligation to keep dogs on a lead at the campsite is ignored by some dog owners, which often led to loud arguments between dogs during our stay, sometimes as early as 7am or late in the evening. However, we loved the hiking opportunities from the campsite. You can walk around Lake Rauschelesee in about 40 minutes, half of it in the forest, the other half on a beautiful cycle and footpath. You also pass the enchanted forest, which is very exciting for small children and definitely worth a visit. In 30 minutes through steep terrain you reach a beautiful viewpoint, from there there are also several hiking possibilities (Wurdach, Eulenweg...) The sanitary facilities (toilets) are in need of renovation. Only one washbasin without a towel dispenser or mirror in the toilets. You can access the showers with your own key (deposit required) and there are several washbasins available. Cleaning was done once a day (in the morning) - if a toilet was dirty, it remained so until the next morning and could not be used. Many excursion and shopping possibilities around the city of Klagenfurt, even if the weather doesn't play along, there is a lot to discover in Carinthia. There is a restaurant on site where there is something for every taste (pizzas, pasta, salads, fish, etc.) Nice guest garden.Tradus automat.
- Wolfgang B.August 2015PlusuriLocationMinusuriUnfriendly. Soaps and towel dispensers mostly empty. Threats of fines for not separating garbage properly.Once is enoughBeautiful site in a nature reserve. The gastronomy offers home-style cooking and was always in good order. The staff at the campsite are much friendlier than the boss. This started on arrival. Someone was sitting on his scooter and said in a somewhat rude tone that the boss of the campsite had a parking... order for the vehicles. As we found out later, it was the boss. Instead of introducing ourselves and pointing this out in a friendly manner, we were immediately mobbed. But the icing on the cake came at the end of our stay. On the last evening, we cleaned the air mattress and a few other things before packing up and left them in front of the caravan to dry. Just then, the tenant of the campsite mowed the grass near the fence to the beach and soiled our freshly cleaned things with grass clippings. When I complained about this I got the answer: "Should the meadow be one meter high? No, Mr. Günter Hassler, it shouldn't, but you could point it out in a friendly manner and ask us to clear it away, and not respond to a justified complaint with "It's a good thing you're going home anyway." If you treat paying guests like this, it doesn't make me and my family lose our "zest for life" (Carinthia's advertising slogan), but it does make us want to stay at the Reichmann campsite, despite its beautiful location.Tradus automat.
- Max Z.August 2015PlusuriQuiet and secluded, despite its proximity to Klagenfurt. Inn on the square.MinusuriNo store.NiceNice campsite with a HUGE sunbathing area/playground in the middle. Surrounded by a lot of forest, with beautiful access to the Rauschelesee.Tradus automat.
