We felt very comfortable on the pitch. We were lucky enough to be in the upper part of the site with the camper van, with a view over the whole campsite and a large pitch. The campsite warden Raffael was always helpful and super friendly.Tradus automat.

This summer was our first time on this small, manageable site. The reception by the Ryter family was very courteous and friendly. The pitch allocation was professional. Despite the high season, we were able to choose 3-4 pitches. There were both shady... and sunny pitches. The site is partly terraced and appears clean and well-kept. It is also very quiet despite being well occupied. The sanitary facilities are also clean. In high season, however, the two showers and three toilets are clearly too small. By the way: you won't find a bread roll for less than a franc anywhere in Switzerland! The site is beautifully situated and well maintained. Reception was very courteous and friendly. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained.... Although, as has already been said, there were not enough of them. WLAN was available on my pitch in sufficient quality and FREE for one hour! I would describe the price/performance ratio as reasonable by Swiss standards. I had a good meal in the restaurant at a reasonable price. If I were to stay in Kandersteg again, I would gladly return to this campsite.Tradus automat.

Advantages for hikers with the guest cardMinusuriWiFi too expensiveMountain campingThe site is terraced, the pitches are not very large, lots of permanent campers. Convenient for hikes, as there is also a cable car to Oeschinensee next door. You pay 1 Swiss franc for showers, bread rolls etc. can be ordered at reception, prices quite high, nothing under 1 Swiss franc, WiFi available,... but is not free, but for 30 minutes for 3 Swiss francs. The welcome was very nice and friendly. There is a restaurant right next door, but it is also very expensive and the menu is more like a snack bar.Tradus automat.- p.October 2013very pretty little campsite, the owners are very friendly, the site is magnificent. Leonhard H.August 2011A small campsite under the Öschinen cable car and approx. 1 km from Kandersteg. Absolute peace and quiet at night, good hiking opportunities from the site, bread roll service. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are basic and too small when fully occupied, especially when hikers come to use the camp.... Then 2 showers and 2-3 toilets are simply not enough. The owner couple is nice and tries to fulfill every feasible wish. We spent some lovely days here and can recommend the site.Tradus automat.- Tania a.June 2011This is a very hilly site. With a road which switches back and forward to reach the pitches. Don't try to find way to toilets in night as could have nasty fall. Don't take caravan or campervan to this site unless you are confident at manouvering in tight spaces. Great location for walking in mountains.
