However the Premium Pitch is not a "meadow" as stated on the website. Actually it's a combination of gravel and grass. They have the gravel to avoid yellow grass when people leave the pitch. That could be a good reason to have gravel, but then the website... should state that as well. Now it's misleading, do not expect that you will get a grass pitch. We solved this by buying a thick nylon sheet in order to avoid damage to our tent. But still, the gravel is not comfortable, especially not for the sleeping area with inflatable beds.
Except for the misleading information about the pitches, it's a good location for hikes, cycle tours and fabulous views.

Direct access to the cycle path.MinusuriThe village of Prad is not very inviting.Quiet campsite and very friendly operatorsThe site is very nicely laid out. There is a lovely children's playground and a soccer pitch. The cycle path runs right past the campsite and you can go on wonderful cycle tours.Tradus automat.

We feel right at home here. The Wunderer family and their team always give us a warm welcome. Helpfulness is not just an empty phrase here. We always enjoy the small but lovely swimming pool, which is a great way to relax. And not an evening without... the wonderful food in the hotel's own restaurant! Very tasty cuisine. Hiking and cycling are ideal here and the connection to the Venosta Valley train to Merano is also perfect. You simply have to come back here!Tradus automat.

The site has lots of old trees and chestnut trees and the pitch sizes vary. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night, but we had a very good meal in the restaurant. There are many hiking and cycling opportunities in the surrounding area.Tradus automat.

Wonderful hikes start directly from the campsite and the town can be reached in just a few minutes. The service provided by the host family is outstanding!MinusuriThat the space - due to its many advantages - is often no longer spontaneously bookable. The square offers a special atmosphere. People still greet each other here and chat!
The daily apple strudel is unique, as is the restaurant on site, where the chef still does the cooking himself.
Go for a swim in the morning before breakfast and relax in the pool in the evening - where... else can you do that?
We are always totally thrilled.
Despite the expansion, the family atmosphere has been retained!
It's easy to get to Merano for a day by train or bike.

They make every effort to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay.
The sanitary area is absolutely outstanding.
The location of the campsite, on the outskirts of Prad, is ideal.
You can reach the village with its shopping facilities in a short time and easily... on foot.
There are excellent shopping facilities in the village.
A vehicle is not absolutely necessary.
The campsite has several side exits.
This means you can get out into nature with your dog quickly and easily.
The same applies to the many opportunities for hiking.
The network of hiking trails is also excellent.
There is one thing you should be aware of:
There are numerous apple orchards in the Venosta Valley.
This leads to activity on the part of the farmers, especially at harvest time in September/October. The result is increased tractor traffic with corresponding noise. We accept this.
If you travel to this region, you have to put up with it.
In addition, the quality of the campsite, the wonderful location and the peace and quiet outweigh the noise.
We will be back. Ideal for (racing) cyclists, but also for mountain bikers and leisure cyclists. Good network of cycling and hiking trails in the surrounding area. The place would be brilliant if the wellness area had... a more extensive offer and if the restaurant was open 7 days a week (Monday is a day off), but the latter is not really relevant, as the particularly friendly and nimble staff working there have really earned their day off ;-)Tradus automat.
