- Stefanie H.August 2024PlusuriBeachMinusuriHuge space, no lighting in the back seats, animation very loudLarge campsite near BastiaStayed at the campsite for 1 night. The beach is beautiful, the water was far too warm but still great.
The location close to Bastia and therefore the harbor is great for arrivals and departures.
Loud animation and no lighting at the back of the pitches. Main sanitary new and modern, the others old and... only with cold water. Toilets in the old sanitary facilities so small that you can hardly close the doors.
Next door is a horse farm which you can clearly smell.
Reception staff friendly.
Will not come back even for 1 night. If you like big places with lots of people and wide paths, this is the place for you.Tradus automat. - Frank M.May 2024PlusuriNice site with a good restaurant and bar. The pitches are big enough. Competent reception and advice. There is always something free around Pentecost.MinusuriSome pitches are noisy from the street. These are the cheapest pitches.Whitsun 2024We would love to come back. A good start to exploring Corsica after the crossing.Tradus automat.
- Marlène V.April 2024PlusuriAll sanitary facilities, including sinks, all under roof.MinusuriNo fresh water tap to fill the water tank in the motorhome. Inside at the sinks, the water dispensing takes just 5-10 seconds. The hose outside is only for the chemical toilet. Maybe the whole construction site is not finished yet.It has become a luxurious place with all the new installations.Very nicely located campsite, especially not too far from Bastia (ferry).Tradus automat.
- D. C.September 2023PlusuriLocation, quiet, near Bastia, supermarketMinusurinoneVery well equipped beach campsiteThe campsite is located on a narrow spit of land between the sea and a large lagoon and is mostly covered with tall pine trees that provide light shade. There are pitches directly on the beach (few, expensive) and cheaper pitches closer to the road (sometimes noisier). The campsite is run very professionally,... the reception staff are all multilingual (including perfect German) and you can check in yourself at a machine including a scan of your ID card. At first it seems like ordering in a McDonalds, but you get support if you can't get through this procedure. As you have to choose your pitch with a specific number when you check in, it is advisable to walk around the site beforehand and have a look at the pitches. The site is very large with 300 pitches on 15 hectares and has a large supermarket (also for camping, souvenir and beach items), a nice pool (only usable with "tight-fitting" swimming trunks) and free Wi-Fi, which is only usable relatively close to reception, however. The sanitary facilities look a bit run-down, but are clean and functional (no toilet seats/paper).
The big advantage of the campsite is its location directly on the beach, which is not a particular highlight (by Corsican standards), but is still a really good and, above all, fairly empty, spacious beach - including a perfect sunrise in the morning!
It's about 10 km to Bastia, which can only be reached via small side roads and a perfect cycle and footpath right by the sea. Bastia itself is more worth seeing than you might think - take a look!
Prices in September range from €25 per night (2 pers./van, with electricity) in the cheapest area to €45 per night in the row directly on the beach. Payment by card is of course possible.Tradus automat. - Andreas W.September 2023PlusuriLocation 10km south of Bastia, beautiful sandy beach, nice pitches very good supermarket, heated poolMinusuriSanitary facilities not up to modern standards Poor network of paths, partly unlit at night Security not recognizableSpace for ferry overnight stayVery large campsite approx. 10km south of Bastia, beautiful sandy beach, shady pitches, very good supply from the supermarket at the entrance. Registration fully digitalized, but this means that you have to pay in advance and personal arrangements are not possible. Sanitary facilities not up to date:... no toilet paper, no toilet seats. Toilets are sprayed with a hose: wet and unhygienic, mini cabins for shower and washbasin, which are also usually wet. You need flashlights for parts of the campsite at night because there is no lighting. Poor security: you can just drive in during the day, no barrier with code or similar. No security staffTradus automat.
- Stefanie J.September 2023PlusuriGreat service with online check-in and friendly, multilingual staff. Very well-stocked supermarket on site. Nice pool.MinusuriLocation right on the beach, but also next to a stagnant body of water and a busy road. We had the worst mosquito infestation here. Paths not asphalted and therefore very dusty. The sanitary building must have been nice a few years ago, but is now pretty run down. There is hot and cold water for washing up, and if you shower early in the morning, you really do the "scalding sausage". Constantly pressing the pressure tap is necessary.Great location right on the beachThe sanitary building should be spruced up and renovated! Maybe you could build a noise barrier to the street.Tradus automat.
- Frank T.June 2022PlusuriClose to the ferry, beachMinusuriOverpriced, VE for Womo has no second tap for fresh water, assigned pitch was interspersed with very deep ruts in the deep sand, marker could not be extended because of tree in the middle of the pitch, although comfort pitch no water connection on the pitch, outdated sanitary building - showers were not adjustable and very hot - also very dirty.4 stars no longer justified! We have always used this place on our Corsica tours and were satisfied. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case, it seems as if money is only being made here.Tradus automat.
- Doris D.April 2022PlusuriThe sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day, i.e. everything is hosed down, including the floor with a scrubbing brush and soap. However, anyone hoping that everything will be wiped/dried will be disappointed. There are also larger pitches for caravans in the 1st row. CP is, in my opinion, laid out somewhat park-like Pool is heated (at least in the VS) Rarely seen such a large supermarket at a CP Staff very friendly Security available at nightMinusuriAircraft noise: planes fly by several times a day or even an hour. Sometimes loud, sometimes a little quieter. Of course, I don't know what it's like in the HS, so it might be worth taking a look at the airport and studying the take-offs and landings. Otherwise, the campsite is right on the beach and you have a wonderful view. Not all toilets have toilet seats Toilet paper not available Hot water temperature preset everywhere (i.e. not adjustable) No H2O disposal available on pitches. Unfortunately, there are few and very hidden places for this.Very niceWe are here in the low season, so you don't need to book in advance and will always find a place, even in the first row. If you actually want to move on, but only arrive by ferry in the evening, you should actually stay 1 night, because the journey south takes time. Reception open continuously until 8pm, even in the low season. German-speaking staff also available. The location is fantastic. To Bastia (center) approx. 11km.Tradus automat.
- Ernst M.September 2021PlusuriSuper friendly staff, everything top clean and well maintained, pool, beach, facilities..... simply 5 *****MinusuriNo points of criticismOne of the most beautiful places in CorsicaEverything just fits here. The most organized, cleanest and most beautiful place on the heatTradus automat.
- Markus S.August 2019PlusuriSupermart on the squareMinusurisometimes loud at night, as there are many young people in the squareThere's something going on!This campsite with very well-kept sanitary facilities and a wide range of entertainment is reasonably priced.Tradus automat.
- Sandra E.July 2019PlusuriClose to the ferry port very nice large plots also directly on the beach very central for excursions TOP playgroundMinusuritoo few sanitary facilities in the HS Animation completely in FrenchNice place with beautiful plots near BastiaLovely place with the possibility of getting a pitch right on the beach, the kids loved it. The sea is shallow, perfect for playing ball games etc. Beach relatively quiet even in August. Pool also quite nice. Great huge supermarket for self-catering directly on the site. Nice big playground. Uncomplicated... with a dog. Unfortunately, the entertainment for children is all in French and hardly any English. Very helpful and friendly at reception, even when we spontaneously wanted to stay another night before we left, they found a place for us. Bastia is definitely worth a visit, and not just as a port. We really liked San Damiano and would recommend it without reservation, not just as a stopover.Tradus automat.
- Regine B.September 2018Plusuri- beautiful children's play area - free choice of seats - free WLAN - Supermarket with a wide range of productsMinusuri- rather restless on the front seats - Sanitary area was not really clean towards the afternoon/eveninga children's paradise just a few minutes from the ferryWe only stayed at this campsite for one night on our way home. Our selection criterion was the proximity to the ferry. To be honest - if we had known beforehand how beautiful the campsite is, we would have arrived earlier. The campsite is a paradise for children. We have never experienced such a great... playground on any other campsite in Corsica. The pitches are nice and big and the supermarket on site has a great range of products. The swimming pool is also really nice and the sea was clean during our stay.Tradus automat.
- Steffen E.May 2018PlusuriClose to the port, beach, Bastia, Cap. Cleanliness and large spacesMinusuriapprox. 4 aircraft in the morning and eveningShould be planned for more than 1 nightEven though the campsite is only a few kilometers away from the ferry terminal, you can confidently use it as a stopover for several days. The pitches are large, which is not a matter of course in Corsica. The sandy beach is right next to the campsite. If you're lucky, you'll get a pitch right on the... beach. But it's full sun and unprotected from the wind. The other pitches are separated, protected and shaded by lots of vegetation. The paths are all in a circle, so no dead ends, which is very convenient for trailer traffic. Very friendly staff. Nice sanitary facilities, including a nice children's area. You almost clean yourself to death. Creative playground and small pool (for what?). The supermarket right on site has everything including fresh baked goods, camping supplies, swimwear, souvenirs, many Corsican products (wines, cheese, sausage, these beautiful knives, ...). Bastia is well worth a visit and a round trip around Cap Corse is a must. The campsite is the ideal starting point and the beach is right next to the campsite. You can survive the few vacation planes, as they fly in quick succession and then it's quiet.Tradus automat.
- Marc A.July 2017PlusuriClose to Bastia, great places with sea viewsMinusuriAircraft noise, dirty seaActually quite nice....butCamping San Damiano is actually beautifully situated opposite Bastia, which makes for a spectacular view at night. Unfortunately, the proximity to Bastia is quite unfavorable both in the sea (from around midday there is always garbage in the sea) and in the air (an airplane every few minutes). In my... opinion, the sanitary facilities are good in the Corsican context. The pitches in front of the sea are fantastically beautiful, the morning (usually around 6.30am) departure traffic is logical, but "standstillers" are a real k..... Conclusion: Great for arriving, departing and seeing Bastia... unfortunately not for the rest. But that's not really the campsite's fault.Tradus automat.
- Geralt W.July 2017PlusuriZee en zwembadMinusuriKoude doucheDicht bij bastiaLeuk zwembad, met slechte houten vloer. Lang strand met vaak veel kwallen. Koud douchen en afwassen.
- Hannes W.June 2017Plusuri- Location close to the ferry and view of Bastia -beautiful beach -Large and well-stocked supermarket - Bus connection to Bastia forMinusuri- Shower temperature not adjustableVery good place for the 1st or last day near the port of BastiaThe pitch is ideal for the day of arrival and departure, as it is close to the port of Bastia. It's actually too good to be a transit site. With a bit of luck, you can find a pitch in the first row by the sea with a view of Bastia. You are free to choose your pitch under the tall pine trees. At the entrance... there is a very large supermarket by camping standards with a huge selection. There is no restaurant on the site itself, but there is one right next door on the beach. The sanitary buildings are simple but clean. Unfortunately, the temperature of the shower cannot be regulated. For some it was too hot, for us it was too cold. The price is not cheap but reasonableTradus automat.
- Ulrike E.June 2017Plusurinice reception large pitches good and not expensive supermarket directly at the placeMinusuriShowers cannot be adjusted in temperature, were very hot with us only 3 sinks to rinse with warm water small poolGreat place to arrive in CorsicaWe have just returned from Corsica. We chose the campsite because it's only a few kilometers from the ferry. We were very pleasantly surprised. The site is situated between a lake and the sea. We were able to choose our own pitch. The reception was very nice and friendly. The pitches were all under tall pine trees. So there was plenty of shade. Beautiful location right by the sea with a view of BastiaTradus automat.
- Richard M.September 2016PlusuriVery quiet in September, and everything you need is available.MinusuriMosquitoesGreat placeHuge site with large parceled-out pitches and three sanitary buildings. There is a supermarket with a large selection next to the entrance. There is also a restaurant (on the beach, in a direct line from the campsite entrance, somewhat hidden behind reed mats), but it is not exactly cheap. Large playground,... swimming pool, beautiful sandy beach with a view of Bastia. The site is not only interesting for those arriving and departing, but I can also recommend it as a base for exploring the nearer and further surroundings as well as for a bathing stay. The staff are very friendly and may even speak German. The sanitary buildings are cleaned using the garden hose method, possibly including foot washing.Tradus automat.
- Jörn L.September 2016PlusuriClean place, nice reception, good for a stopover or the "last night"Minusurino restaurantThe ideal place for ferry comers and departuresLocated about 15 minutes' drive from the port of Bastia. They are prepared for guests departing from 6:00 am (pay the bill the day before). For this reason, the site is already lively early in the morning. The site is tidy, clean and in the shade of tall pine trees. Direct access to the beach. The sanitary... facilities are adequate, simple but clean. Large supermarket at the entrance (7:30 to 19:30), but unfortunately no restaurant. Conclusion: recommended for a stopover or "last night". Also suitable for longer stays if you don't want to see more of the beautiful island.Tradus automat.
