- Andrea K.June 2023PlusuriProximity to the townMinusuriAt first glance, it doesn't look like 5 stars are justifiedWere only there 1 nightWe were only at the campsite for 1 night, so can only describe our first impression.
The site is quite nicely laid out, but probably a bit outdated, gives the impression of a party place to us, and the sanitary house, nicely done, even for the little ones, but all dark!!!
The supermarket is well stocked.
A walk into the town along the promenade along the English Channel is worthwhile.Tradus automat. - Günter H.May 2023PlusuriGood pitch, clean sanitary facilitiesMinusurinone foundVery good placeVery nice place. Nice bathroom and lots of leisure activities. Short distance to the sea.Tradus automat.
- Burkhard M.August 2022PlusuriWell-equipped and clean sanitary facilitiesMinusuriAnimation disturbed the peace and quiet of those who don't value it. Restaurant was like a mass processing and delivered partly bad food.Comfortable space with clear weaknessesLarge 5-star campsite a few hundred meters from the sandy beach and the sea. Sufficiently close by bike to various World War II fortifications and the related museum in Caen (also accessible by bus). The campsite is very much geared towards family vacations by the sea.
Well-equipped sanitary facilities,... which were almost always very clean.
The pitches were mostly under trees and of a sufficient size. In some places you have to pay a deposit to borrow a suitable tap to draw water.
Small store, large pool, restaurant (with take-away service) etc. available. At the end of August there was always entertainment in the evenings, some of which was quite loud until shortly after 10pm.
Our visit to the restaurant left the impression of mass processing. The staff and kitchen seemed quite overwhelmed, which ended for us with a salad on which the hot goat's cheese we had ordered had completely cooled down after a long wait. One consolation: after complaining at the counter, we were not charged for it.Tradus automat. - Andreas M.July 2020Plusuri-large pitches with very nice vegetation, therefore lots of shade -despite the lack of toilet seats, clean and well-kept new sanitary facilities -nice playground for the little ones -successful bathing area with water slidesMinusuri-Extremely loud sound from the outdoor disco until 23:00 at night, which made it impossible for the children to fall asleep. -Using the showers is a game of chance: sometimes you get lukewarm to hot water, but often only cold water. There is no system for determining when the water is hot and when it is not. -There was no help from an employee to move the caravan to the correct position on the pitch.Overpriced course with strengths and too many weaknessesWe had booked this place mainly because of the swimming pool. Despite booking a specific entry time online, we had to queue for up to an hour in front of the pool before we were finally let into the water. The water itself was a bit too cold, so that our little one wanted to get out of the water unusually quickly.
We will not visit this campsite again.
All in all a very overpriced campsite.Tradus automat. - Lone M.July 2019PlusuriPool area, nice green pitches, showers, activities for children, quiet at nightMinusuriNo toilet seats (feels unsanitary)Perfect for a family vacationBeautiful campsite located in the area of the D day beaches. Picthes for campers are under trees for shadow. Rental units are new and all have green areas and flowers around them. Activities for children and nice pool area.
- Camping für Genießer H.June 2019Plusurihigh level of comfort, quiet (low season), good infrastructureMinusurinoneThe Côte de Nacre campsite fulfills many campers' wishesThe Côte de Nacre campsite is very comfortable and well maintained. The very well-maintained gardens and the comfort of the pitches (water/waste water) are striking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The infrastructure of the campsite with its leisure facilities is very good. The site is a good starting point for discovering NormandyTradus automat.
- Anton H.May 2019PlusuriWell located for visiting the landing beaches, cycling along the coast. There is an Intermarche nearby. Not suitable for those seeking peace and quiet. The site itself is very quiet. If you meet English people who don't stick to anything, start the car, leave it running for hours and listen to loud music on the side, the peace and quiet is over and the French neighbors aren't burning their packaging materials in the barbecue and shouting loudly.Tradus automat.
- Klaus-Peter F.June 2018PlusuriSuper clean sanitary facilitiesMinusurifar to the beach3 days are enoughThe location to the beach is almost 1.5 km. Lots of entertainment, some dark pitches under trees without satellite reception. Small pitches. Good clean sanitary facilities.Tradus automat.
- Thorsten B.September 2014PlusuriSanitary facilitiesMinusurinoneGreat sanitary facilitiesUnfortunately, we were only able to enjoy the campsite for one day, as the season ended the following day.Tradus automat.
- Peter W.September 2013We had chosen this campsite as a base for our first explorations in Normandy. The pitches were spacious and you had a free choice when looking for a pitch. Some of the pitches were bordered by hedges and some of them were more than 25 meters away from the electricity column/water supply. The journey... was via Le Havre, Pont de Normandie and the town of Caen. Directly on the D7 in Caen, about 12 km before the campsite, there is a huge Garefour market at the traffic circle where I filled up directly. I was able to leave my caravan there to fill up (2.55 meters). The campsite is then reached via an access road with several bumps where the nose wheel touched down several times. Fortunately, the mover fitted! The site is at the end of a residential area, so don't be surprised. The reception was very friendly, the pitches not huge but okay. Electricity column at every pitch, water supply approx. 30 meters. The paths on the campsite are very narrow and limited by rows of trees, which requires a lot of effort so that you don't bump into anything. Sanitary facilities very clean, even if I personally would have liked a different cleaning interval. There are squat toilets, so no toilet seats, as is often the case in France. The shower rooms are quite spacious. The pool area and playground make a very well-kept impression, although there is a slight maintenance backlog in the pool area. The supply of fresh bread is TOP, but the food in the CP supermarket is rather expensive. Intermarche and Lidl are 3 and 5 km away respectively. From there we visited Honfleur, Gold Beach, Omaha Beach, the American military cemetery and the German military cemetery. The town of Aubin sur Mer is quite small but offers everything else. In my opinion, the beach is not suitable for a seaside vacation. Dogs are only allowed on the beach before 01.06. and after 30.09.Tradus automat.

- be w.July 2012Sanitary facilities are modern, but the cleaning interval is too long. Night's rest is only observed to a limited extent (drunken youths roaring at 3 am, children playing after 11 pm, etc.). No German-speaking reception, but they try to please the vacationers, which is not always successful. After 2010 and 2012 our last time on this site. The small covered swimming pool is a positive feature on rainy days.Tradus automat.
- Gerd F.September 2011PlusuriLarge pool area, nice clean sanitary buildingWell maintained facilitythe site is mainly dominated by chalets and rental houses. The camping pitches are located in the middle of the site. Most of the guests come from England and France. We went on excursions along the coast from the campsite. It was a bit late for swimming at the beach.Tradus automat.
- Christian S.September 2010Nice place. Proximity to the beach fine, about a 10 minute walk. Super swimming pool area, very large and well maintained. There is an old large sanitary building (extremely poor standard) and a small new wash house (TOP!). Very friendly staff. Lots of British people on the site.Tradus automat.
