But that wasn't really a disadvantageThank you for the wonderful daysMy wife and I rented a hobbit house from 16.07. - 20.07..24. We had a picturesque view of the vineyards from the sun terrace. The town of Bernkastel is very easy to reach by bike from the campsite, as the cycle path runs directly behind the campsite. The site owners Sabine and Reimund are very friendly... and helpful. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day and the swimming pool was a great place to relax, especially in the hot weather. This campsite is definitely worth a visit. My husband with a (studied) migration background was standing at the washroom early in the morning to read the information. Suddenly and unexpectedly, he was asked - by the tenant, as it turned out - where he... was from and where his pitch was. Without any introduction. My husband didn't know the pitch number, only that it was a premium pitch down by the Moselle. The tenant asked him to show him our pitch. On the way, with the tenant in tow, my husband asked other campers if they had been checked in the same way, which was denied. After the diss, we were then expelled from the site. I introduced... myself to your husband as the OWNER of the campsite, tried to explain to him that we have our problems with the neighboring motorhome pitch and just wanted to know where it was or if he could give me his name. He couldn't tell me where he was parked, nor did he want to give me his name!
After he became aggressive and rude, I told him to leave the pitch!

The vending machine for toilet cassettes is a clean and helpful thing. The Ehmke family who run the site are always friendly and helpful and there is an electricity and water connection at every pitch. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back for another camping vacation. other place got at extra cost because of the size of the... place however, this was adjacent to the laundry room with a lot of noise, this has our dog the first few days barking a little more than usual because of habituation.
We were threatened the same day to be removed from the campsite, afterwards they also saw that this was not necessary, our dog barking nml hardly.

The owners are not reachable by phone and the emergency phone is not manned.Tradus automat. - Klaus S.July 2023PlusuriVery friendly operators, always approachable, very clean sanitary facilities, you actually see the cleaning staff several times a day, everything is available in the washing-up area from washing-up liquid to dishcloths to dishwashing brushes, I have never found that anywhere else in 45 years of camping experience. A small but very nice pool, perfectly adequate for swimming a few lengths, even pool loungers like at the hotel pool are available. We had pitch 144 in the shade under a chestnut tree, the pitch is also completely sufficient for a larger caravan, power socket directly on the pitch, you don't have to run the cable for meters. The bread service works perfectly, bread rolls are available from 8:00 am and at fair prices, the bread rolls are really first class, big praise to the baker. During our stay it was very quiet, you hardly heard anything and after 10 pm nothing at all, even though the place was very busy. Wine, apple juice, beer from the nearby monastery brewery and coffee are available at reception - what more could you want? Good shopping facilities in Bernkastel, there are really all the major discount stores nearby. There are even sun loungers at the small pool (130cm deep).
The operators are very nice and helpful.
You should... bring an extra pair of bathing shoes for the showers and the pool area, as you are not allowed to enter the shower rooms and the pool with the shoes you walked to the sanitary facilities in. But that's another reason why it's always clean.
