There is direct access to the lake from the pitch.
Due to the hillside location, some of the pitches are very sloping, but the site management is equipped accordingly and no guest has to fall out of bed.
Fresh bread rolls every day....
Great playground for the kids at the edge of the forest, we only saw our children when they were hungry.
Unfortunately, the restaurant is still looking for a tenant.

It was always pleasantly quiet.MinusuriUnfortunately, the pitches are not separated. They are all very close together. Underground only gravel. The whole site is unfortunately not particularly well maintained. The two ladies at the reception are rather shippish, friendly is different. Prices in the kiosk are very high. Very expensive for the service offered.A better parking spaceThe location of the site is very nice.
Our pitch was on the edge, so almost nobody could see our plate while we were eating 😁
Sanitary facilities were very clean, but too small for the size of the pitch.
Price performance rather poor.
Nobody was there the whole time to keep the pitch clean.
Leaves and dirt on all paths.
The barbecue area is overgrown.

Kevin M.October 2022PlusuriGreat location on the lake, modern and clean sanitary facilities, great starting point for hikesMinusuriMost of the pitches are sloping, gravel only, reservations for short weekends only for an extra charge (8 euros per short night),Average place with mega locationFor me, the campsite is an average site but with modern and clean sanitary facilities. It has a great location right on the lake. There is a railroad track in front of the campsite (but we didn't hear anything about it). The pitches are separated by lines on the ground. You stand quite close to each... other and it looks a bit like a better parking lot with a great view.
In general, the site is a great starting point for excursions and hikes in the area. The staff were very friendly but check in was a bit slow. We were in the low season and the kiosk was almost out of bread rolls by 8am.Tradus automat.- Marc B.July 2022PlusuriWe particularly liked the view of the lake from the pitch and the location.MinusuriThe cleaning condition of the sanitary house was rather below average over 10 daysSolid vacation in the Black ForestWe have been going to the Schluchsee for our summer vacation for 10 years. This year for the first time with the caravan. First of all: The condition I have just described reflects my impressions during the vacation period. Friends of ours were there in May/June and were completely thrilled and very... satisfied.
We had booked a premium pitch. It resembled a stony desert, had a steep slope and the electricity connection was about 15 meters diagonally away from the fresh water and waste water connections.
The first 3 evenings, the sanitary building was more of a meeting point for the youth and tent groups also staying there. It was correspondingly loud and a good night's sleep was a foreign concept. So rather counterproductive if you have a small child with you.
The sanitary building was cleaned twice a day. In the morning in the morning around late noon. In short, it was always dirty. Hair and grass in the shower was standard. My wife and I only went to our toilet in the caravan for the entire vacation because the toilet always had signs of use or the hygiene buckets in the ladies' area were "well filled".
As I said at the beginning, thank goodness this doesn't seem to be the norm.
However, it is incomprehensible how you can stubbornly stick to your cleaning schedule when you are at full capacity...you should clean more often.
Despite informing the service staff, everything remained as it was. We thankfully declined the champagne on offer and are considering coming back next year. But then outside of the vacations!Tradus automat.

Marc H.September 2020PlusuriHiking trails, shopping, squares, sanitary facilities, staff, leisure facilitiesMinusuriWe were assured of the place despite reservation, then it became permanent at short notice and we got another one and that 3XReally great campsite with minor flawsWe were there during the 2020 summer vacation and were totally thrilled despite Corona. The most important thing at this time first of all the Corona rules are prescribed and observed on the entire site. We were on the site with a Rottweiler and it has never been so pleasant for us because our dog was... accepted everywhere without any problems even without a muzzle. The sanitary facilities were very clean and were disinfected twice a day, our pitch was great, the staff very nice and the restaurant really good. Food and drinks were also available to pick up. The shopping facilities can be reached by bike in 5 minutes and the leisure options are endless. With or without a car, you can easily experience something different every day for 10 days. BUT we did have one small complaint. We had reserved a nice place which was then suddenly taken away from us as a permanent camping site and when that happens 3 times it's not so nice anymore. The same game for the 2021 reservation. We have had 2 places so far, I'm curious how often it will change because it always seems to become a permanent place. Even dogs are allowed on the water on a lead.
The walk to the village is short. Good hiking opportunities.
The wash house is new and clean.
The place was well utilized, so it was lively, but the rest periods were respected, except by a... group of camping teenagers (why is that even allowed in Corona times?).
The only drawback was that there was no vegetarian option in the restaurant, so we couldn't use it.

Very friendly staff, good value for money, various pitches for tents, caravans and mobile homes. Clean and large sanitary facilities. With the Hochschwarzwaldcard you can visit many activities nearby for little money or for free. Very beautiful... area with lots to see. Small store on site but a larger store in the nearby area. The food in the restaurant on site tastes good, selection mediocre as well as the price.

- Isabelle M.July 2019PlusuriBeautiful and partly somewhat larger pitches, modern, large and clean sanitary building, night's rest is respected, beautiful hiking trailsMinusuriWe had no TV reception on our pitch, but that wasn't too badManageable, modern and quiet place for young and oldWe stayed at this campsite for two nights and were able to choose a nice pitch for our motorhome. The welcome was very warm. The sanitary facilities were very clean except for one. The night-time rest periods are "taken seriously" and monitored here. We really appreciated that! Some beautiful and shady... hiking trails; ideal with a dog. Unfortunately, you look in vain outside the campsite for dog waste bags and bins for disposal. Result: you can see dog waste on many of the hiking trails; it shouldn't be there! Good restaurant with an appealing menu; the Kaiserschmarren was absolutely amazing! Our well-behaved dog was allowed in the restaurant with us; thank you very much! It was a very relaxing and enjoyable two days - we'll be back!Tradus automat.

(Which is not the CP's fault, a speed limit would be helpful)Beautiful, well-kept site right on the lake. Friendly staffLocation ideal on the lake (lake trail) (direct access with small ramp for the canoe). Motorcycle noise from the B500 in the upper rows unpleasantly audible, below much less. Clean, newly built sanitary/recreation building with cooking and play facilities (for children in rainy weather). "Hard pitches"... (approx. 50% of the pitches) difficult to crack with pegs and tent pegs. Very friendly staff. Black Forest guest card from 1 overnight stay with a wide range of offers (free admission/boat trips etc.) Camping kiosk unfortunately only open for a short time in the morning.Tradus automat.
- Frank G.June 2019PlusuriThe Hochschwarzwald Card is not only easy on the wallet for families with kidsMinusurithe small store is unfortunately expensive, access to the lake was not to our liking, but ok.Beautifully located campsite in the Upper Black Forest directly on the Schluchsee lakeThe Schluchsee campsite in the Upper Black Forest is just 2 km from the center of Schluchsee. Very quiet and beautiful location, terraced pitches, some with a view of the Schluchsee. The plots to the left of the road (towards the lake) are laid out with grass and wide, to the right they are gravel/gravel... and narrow, we had space problems with our trailer on the pitch (82), but ok for our short vacation. New sanitary building, with a lounge, spacious shower rooms and individual wash cubicles. There is a kitchen, rental fridges, plenty of indoor and outdoor washing-up areas, a drying room and washing machines and dryers. Access to the lake is not so special, but is available. From this place you can do a lot, e.g. boating, cycling, Galaxy, Steinwasenpark and all this thanks to the Hochschwarzwald Card very cheap. There is a small store on the site, bread roll prices are ok, the rest is expensive. There is also a restaurant available, but we did not test it, we ate well and cheaply in the surrounding area. There is a supermarket in the immediate vicinity (about 10 minutes on foot). The reception staff are very friendly and helpful.Tradus automat.

- Klaus G.May 2019PlusuriView, Hiking, Sanitary facilitiesMinusuriGravel pitch, too expensiveOne of the places with the most beautiful view - but with the worst surfaceA campsite with one of the most beautiful views of a lake The pitches are laid out in terraces. Everyone in the front row of the terrace has an insanely cool view of the Schuchsee. Unfortunately, some of the terraces are laid out like parking lots. I assume that this is what made the terraces possible... in the first place due to the compaction of the soil. To the right of the path is only gray gravel, to the left is coarse gravel with some greenery. This is why it is highly recommended that both sides of the path are surfaced. Not much fun for dogs. It's almost impossible to walk on the gravel without shoes, which is why I'm still suffering from an injury today when I jumped out of the camper van. The price is that of an upmarket campsite and does not correspond to the quality of the pitch. We paid 85 euros for 2 nights, dog and camper van. There is also a train connection between the campsite and the lake, which fortunately passes by almost silently. The lake and campsite can only be reached via a tunnel. The groundsman is very friendly and obliging. An Eldorado for walks with and without dogs. As already mentioned, the view of the lake is sensational. The sanitary facilities are very good, nothing is missing. There's also a small store and bread delivery service. Conclusion: I would only visit again for a short stay, otherwise probably not.Tradus automat.

We've had nicer pitches for less money. Unfortunately, we paid for 2 days in advance on arrival and had to leave after one day for health reasons, there was no refund for the canceled day despite asking.Tradus automat.
