Heinz L.July 2024PlusuriFacilities and locationMinusuriLess than ideal walks for the four-legged friendsA top campsite in almost every respectWe have just spent 7 nights on this great campsite. Our pitch 311 was certainly 150 m2 in size and had electricity, fresh water and gray water connections. We were particularly struck by the absolute peace and quiet despite the fact that it was practically full. Between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. you could hardly... hear a sound, despite the many families with small children. The always spotlessly clean modern sanitary facilities were also remarkable. We never had to queue, whether for washing up, the showers or the toilet facilities. The daily bread delivery service to the caravan door was also very pleasant! The only negative aspect we would like to mention is the less than ideal opportunities for walking our four-legged friends, as all the footpaths are asphalted and the surfaces get very hot in the usual Valais heat.Tradus automat.

- Gafner H.September 2021Plusuri- Quiet location but still quickly in the center - Sanitary building clean and new - Pitches also suitable for 7 meter caravans and awnings - Friendly staff and they have the reservations extremely under control!Minusuri- Rather large campsite without separation of the pitchesGood location for an active vacationGreat starting point for excursions to the most famous hotspots in Valais. Saas and Mattertal, Moosalp, Belalp, Aletsch region and much more. Everything is close by and easily accessible by public transport as the train station is only a 10-minute walk away and the bus stop is right in front of the campsite.... The shared use of many hiking trails by bikers and hikers is brilliant in Valais. From my point of view (I was mostly hiking) this works without any problems.
The sanitary buildings are new and well equipped. The surface of the pitches seems good. Grass and therefore possibly a little muddy when it rains.

The campsite is otherwise rather basic and doesn't offer much outside the bathing season. The sanitary facilities are clean, and the large sanitary building is probably quite new... and nicely furnished, we didn't like a smaller, older sanitary building with the charm of a construction container.
The welcome was very friendly.
We enjoyed the central location in the Upper Valais, many destinations can be reached quickly.Tradus automat.

The train station in Visp is not far away. The staff at reception were very friendly. Extra costs for a small tent on the pitch.Beautiful campsite next to the center of VispWe booked a comfort pitch for 13 days, it was very large and we could easily drive onto the pitch with our large caravan without a mover and also leave again. There was still room for the awning in front of the caravan and for an awning, and we also had enough space for our bikes and a small tent. The... towing vehicle also had a sufficiently large parking space on the plot. Water, waste water and an electricity box are right next to the pitch. It is not possible to connect a water hose for a city water connection, there are only two water connections for four pitches and the smaller pitches opposite also get their own water here. A waste water hose can be laid. When we checked in, we were told that it was possible for us to pitch the small 2-person tent at no extra cost, but on the day of departure we had to pay 2.50 ChF per day for it.
The sanitary facilities are very clean and there are plenty of them. Unfortunately, the toilets and washbasins lack the possibility to hang something up, the Covid-19 plexiglass walls are used for the washbasins and you have to hold on to the toilets. There was at least a hook on one of the men's toilets, otherwise there were only screws. It wasn't clear to me whether this was part of the protection concept or not, but it's certainly not ideal.
There is the possibility to buy bread or rolls in the morning from 8.00 to 10.00 a.m. or to pre-order them the day before until 6.00 p.m. and then they are delivered to the pitch by 8.00 a.m. in the morning.
Otherwise there is no possibility to buy anything for daily needs on the campsite, but that is not a problem. Sandra x.June 2013Camping Platz gut gelegen, 10 min bis zum Bahnhof und zum Zentrum von Visp. Viele Wandermöglichkeiten. Sanitäre Anlagen neu und sauber. Stellplätze grosszügig, mit Strom und Wasser. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Direkt ans Schwimmbad angrenzend. Ab 18:00 für Campinggäste gratis, ansonsten Vergünstigung.... Campingleitung sehr freundlich. Einzige Kritik: Spielplatz ein wenig klein und veraltet. Tischtennis Tisch ein wenig abgelegen.
