It promised to be normal and nice. I wanted with my wife and friends to spend five days in , "famous" Bialowieza with a caravan and bicycle trips. At the campground , , "U Michala ".
I booked a parking space a week and a half in advance. I... heard during a phone conversation ,,...since we are talking, you have booked, just confirm the day before arrival".
I also got the information that there will be seven campers from Germany in the field, if I don't mind , "I HAVE A SPACE !!! "
The day before departure I contacted, with this , "Michael" and continued to seem normal. Admittedly, the number of campers increased to fifteen, but it still did not pose any problem for me. I had no idea what kind of occupancy this region had. We arrived...
The lady at the reception desk at the sight of us, with a glare, burst out her lips saying , "I'll call Michal. Michal, a very young man, had a hard time associating the reservation. It took a moment for him to put the facts together, announcing, , "YES I WAS, BUT MY PLANS HAVE CHANGED AND I HAVE NO PLACE FOR YOU...".
Ok. I am even able to understand it.... Business and life.
Clobbered by the attitude of the CHIEF, I said that I would not leave it without comment....
In response I heard ,,. YOU WILL POUR HONEY ON MY HEART...". I turned back to leave, being bid farewell with a contemptuous hand waving gesture and an ironic smile....
We ended up without any announcement or reservation, a kilometer away at a fantastic campsite,, "UNDER THE BEAT " which I wholeheartedly recommend. I also will not leave this campsite without comment.

No recognizable Corona concept.One of two options on siteFlat meadow area, old trees, some places with a covered picnic table. The site was quite full during our visit, i.e. in the main season, while the neighboring campsite (previously without a reservation) was quite empty. Looked quite usable from the outside.

Sanitary facilities are clean and spacious but old. Pitches mostly shady. Appeal to some fellow campers. It is not necessarily pleasant for the neighbors in the other shower and washing cubicles to hear you blowing your nose and making spitting noises. In addition, not all campers wear "Adiletten" in the shower and this then ... well - the rest is head cinema. Or do you do the same at home with your partners?Tradus automat.

In the morning you are woken up by birdsong and storks chattering!Small campsite in the Biatowieza National ParkThe small but beautiful U Michala campsite is located just 4 km from the Belarusian border and in the Białowieża National Park in Podlasie. The sanitary facilities are older, but clean. There is a petrol station 300 m from the campsite, which not only sells petrol and diesel, but also all kinds of spirits.... There is a small supermarket right next door that (almost) caters for all needs (unfortunately, we didn't find a bakery). At the campsite next door, guided tours of the national park (Europe's largest contiguous primeval forest, once the summer hunting ground of the Russian tsars) are offered during the day and/or at night. If you're too comfortable for that, head to the animal enclosure about 7 km away instead, where you can observe bison (European bison), red deer, roe deer, wild boar, a pack of wolves and tarpans (a breed of horse) and take full-frame photos with a good telephoto lens. There is a restaurant right next to the campsite. Andrzej S.September 2010Very pleasant atmosphere on the part of the owners. Clean sanitary facilities with warm faucet 24 hours a day. The best Camping in Bialowieza. We spent here 10 days of pleasant days exploring the Bialowieza Forest and the surrounding area. Highly recommended.Tradus automat.
