The lake is great for swimming!MinusuriThe children's program is provided by a missionary church that uses an openly brutal and regressive choice of words. You feel like you've been brainwashed and that as an adult, I wouldn't let my children go there! Hot water only works with a coin system, which leads to wasting water! There is no direct electricity connection on the pitch and no water for everyone. Unfortunately there are only two wash houses, so you have to walk a long way!Great place-questionable children's programThe place is very clean, including the sanitary facilities. The simple, functional sanitary facilities were always clean during our two-week stay. The unparceled tourist pitches are located on steeply sloping lakeside meadows. The usual drive-on wedges are barely sufficient to align camping vehicles reasonably straight in all directions. If, like us, you can come to terms with this, you can feel at home here.Tradus automat.

Pitch a bit sloping, think about chocks ;)Great campsite with lots of loveWe were guests on the site for a long weekend from Wednesday evening to Sunday lunchtime. We received a friendly welcome even after 6 pm and were guided to the pitch.
The site is located in a valley. Mobile internet is therefore a bit difficult, but there is WiFi everywhere which can be booked for a... small fee.
Bread rolls can be ordered fresh from the bakery via app and then picked up the next day at the reception/barrier.
The site has 2 large sanitary blocks. One near the entrance and one very centrally located on the pitch. The central sanitary block looks a bit older but is always perfectly clean and fully functional.

There is only one outdated sanitary building for the entire site, which is also used by bathers at the Ulmbach dam. There are 2 ancient stainless steel sinks on the outside wall of the sanitary building.... At the weekend I felt as if I was standing somewhere in the middle of an open-air swimming pool with my camper van, the bathers were constantly walking past my camper van at a distance of about 1 meter, or almost lying in front of it, an imposition!Tradus automat.

Now I'm 40 years old and have my own car there with my mother. No matter what the weather is like, you drive through the barrier and you're home. Grandma and Grandpa had their caravan, now Mom with me and my daughter.
The site is quiet, clean, tidy and well-kept. Everything you need to recharge your batteries after a stressful day. In summer you can walk around the dam, ride a bike or just take a leisurely stroll around the site. I can't imagine a nicer 2nd home. Good pizzeria directly at the campsite.MinusuriAnother sanitary building, e.g. near the campsite/day vacation guests, would be a relief for the permanent campers, as "guests" are mainly responsible for the sanitary facilities being dirty. (Which became clear when only permanent campers had access... At that time everything was great!) Snack bar, classic, would be great 😁 French fries, sausage, meatballs, schnitzel rolls ... Small treats for in between... But when the campers next door are having campfires, barking dogs and making noise until late at night, it's simply difficult to get a child to sleep.
By the time the car arrives at 15:03, however, there's no wiggle room left. Strange balance.
Sanitary... facilities are clean, but basic.
Noise also came from the permanent campers in particular. Too bad.
The lake is great, also great for children to use, the restaurant is so-so - three sauces on all dishes. The pizza is good to eat.

You can swim in the dam and go for a ride on an air mattress or inflatable boat. There are some beautiful hiking trails. The nearest town is also less than 5 minutes away by car. We found our dream spot on our first camping vacation.Tradus automat.

We were allowed to choose a pitch more or less freely. Some of the meadows are quite sloping and rather uneven. Tent campers might find them a bit sloping. The front sanitary building, which we used... during our trip at the weekend, was very clean and had plenty of washing and shower facilities. The fact that you have to buy shower coins for 70 cents to be able to shower for five minutes is a bit old-fashioned but for us absolutely no reason not to visit this otherwise beautiful campsite again soon. There was a bread roll service. We didn't try the restaurant.Tradus automat.
