I received a very warm welcome and was shown around. A big plus for those traveling with a tent are the covered areas where you can cook, wash up and eat.

we were traveling from Usedom on the Baltic Sea coast in May / June 2020. From Wismar no CP could accommodate us (Whitsun weekend). So we tried (in vain) at the Schwerin lakes, then stayed one more night with our Womo on a pitch. The next day "Stellplatzradar" showed us the Eldena - what a hit....
We immediately felt at home, first got the pitch we wanted in the shade, and two nights later, when it got cooler, we were allowed to stay in the sun.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed due to the coronavirus, but we enjoyed the delicious cakes every day.
So the planned 1-2 days turned into three nights.
We would like to thank you once again, albeit at the end of the following year, for this wonderful time.

The showers had too few shelves and coat hooks, and the payment system for the showers takes some getting used to and is expensive. Unfortunately you couldn't wash your dishes anywhere. The cafe was very nice and the cake was good. Unfortunately there were only bakery rolls on one day. On Sundays and public holidays there were only simple baked rolls.Tradus automat.

Despite it being the height of summer and the vacation season, the atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained, just like the whole complex. Our two dogs also felt very comfortable :-) Although there is no longer a restaurant in... Eldena, a small, well-stocked Edeka supermarket is only 300 meters away on foot: an additional plus! The Witte family, who run the marina and campsite, take great care of their guests. We spent three very quiet days there with our motorhome over Whitsun 2018. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, cycling and kayaking tours. The small... bathing area, which belongs to the campsite, is particularly nice. The bread roll service should also be mentioned, as the bread roll bags are always provided with a personal "Good morning!" from Mrs. Witte and the bread rolls taste good.
