- Jürgen Z.April 2024Plusuriopen in April friendly staffMinusuriNo infrastructure in the low season problematic accessPerhaps good in the seasonLocation "in the middle of nowhere", only fields in the surrounding area. Somewhat adventurous and narrow access via farm track. Bread only on reservation at the end of April. Other infrastructure not yet in operation. Old but functional (private) sanitary facilities.
Decent pitch, beach not usable (apart from the weather) due to construction workTradus automat. - Mario F.October 2023PlusuriLots of trees and shrubs Beautiful tent area Direct access to beautiful beach PoolMinusuriFlyingGreen and quietVery nice campsite. We were with car/tent. Very green. Very winding, like a labyrinth. Super beach with clear water. Pool.Tradus automat.

- Caterina L.August 2016Never again NicoteraTotally neglected surroundings (more details to follow). Pitch and public sanitary facilities were just about acceptable. The booked private toilet and shower were repulsive and therefore not really usable. Unfortunately, the pool smelled excessively of chlorine and was not at all refreshing as it was... around 30°C warm. This suggests that the water was not clean. The associated beach section was kept clean, but the adjacent beach was a garbage dump. You could find everything, from all kinds of plastic waste (plastic bottles, bags, etc.) to tin cans, car tires, refrigerators, old furniture and even burnt-out vehicles. The river flowing into the sea was a stinking cesspool. After a stronger wind, the garbage bags were also floating in the water. On a shopping trip on our bikes to nearby San Ferdinando, the entire roadside was littered with all kinds of household waste and the smell was terrible. The houses in the village were a slum, no windows, totally neglected houses that looked dilapidated, plots of land that were also totally neglected and littered. Our conclusion: It was a shame about the long journey and the associated travel costs. We can only hope that the local population will wake up as quickly as possible and realize that they are not only destroying their landscape, but also their livelihood. In any case, we will never visit Nicotera again and, after a few consultations with locals who have emigrated, we will never visit Calabria again.Tradus automat.
- Brigitte K.May 2016PlusuriGood starting point for visiting Calabria. Nice staff.MinusuriCatastrophic sanitary facilities Dirty surroundingsNice staff, catastrophic sanitary cleanlinessWe stayed here for just under a week at the end of May/beginning of June to discover Calabria from here. The place is quiet, the beach beautiful (but you can't go a step to the left or right without standing in the garbage). The sanitary facilities (for whatever reason, we had a single cabin with toilet,... shower and washbasin) were horrible: mold stains in all corners, all metal parts (hinges, handles, etc.) totally rusted. The cabin was not cleaned during this time, but there was a bucket with cleaning cloths for cleaning yourself. However, you couldn't even touch these cloths with gloves..... Otherwise, the staff were friendly, but the advertised food supply was not available (except for the bread roll service on pre-order). The immediate surroundings of the campsite also tend to lead to depression - nowhere else have we seen so much garbage on the roadside and so many completely run-down places as in this area.Tradus automat.
- Matthias F.May 2015Any time again, a quiet, clean oasisAlthough an ASCI tour group arrived on our arrival and the small site was fully booked, the friendly, good German-speaking manager found a pitch for our 9 m caravan. The access road is located between lemon and orange plantations and is wide enough to allow even large vehicles to pass. A locked entrance... gate prevents unauthorized access to the site. A cozy restaurant with local food invites you to linger. "Good spirits" keep the whole area clean, the beach with a view of the Strombolie and free sun loungers is ideal for sunbathing. The pool is clean and there are sun loungers and parasols here too. We originally wanted to use this place as a transit to Sitilien but were so impressed that we spent 2 weeks there. We will certainly be back and would like to thank the owner for the wonderful time!Tradus automat.
- Brigitte J.September 2014Camping MimosaWe stayed here for 1 1/2 weeks in September 2014. A nice, quiet site, very clean and very friendly staff. As the site is a bit remote, you definitely need a vehicle if you want to leave the site to go to a supermarket or restaurant, for example.Tradus automat.
- Sylvia P.January 2013Nice, family-run campsite right by the sea in the middle of orange and mandarin groves. Very nicely laid out, parceled out with bushes. The pitches should be shaded in the summer with matting roofs. In winter, the ACSI price of 12 euros even includes a private sanitary block with shower and toilet. It's... not heated, but we took the radiant heater with us and the water is really quite hot. The site was open in winter for the first time this year, so there were only a few guests. A walk through the small complex to the beach gives you an idea of how beautiful and friendly the campsite must be in summer - with a pool, bar and beach service. As the restaurant and store are closed in winter, we cooked our own meals. We were able to order bread from the chef the evening before. Shopping facilities in San Ferdinando, 3 km away - an ARD discount store and a cheese dairy where you can buy fresh buffalo mozzarella and various sheep's cheeses. In the other direction is Nicotera - there should be something there too. We really enjoyed our 2 short stays during the Christmas vacations and will be back in the summer if it works out.Tradus automat.
- Arnold P.December 2012Stayed at this campsite on the way to Sicily. A quiet place, in the middle of orange and clementine plantations. The boss gave us a warm welcome, took us to the campsite and let us choose our own pitch. We then settled in next to friends who were already there. As it was open all year round for the first... time, there were hardly any motorhomes on site. The restaurant was also closed. The store wasn't open either, but that wasn't a problem as the owner walked through the campsite in the evening and asked if we needed bread for the next day. We also got oranges and clementines for the journey home, as we spent the night there again on our way back from Sicily.Tradus automat.
- Mauro D.August 2012A "romantic" campsite because of the silence, the scents, the animation present but discreet and a vegetation that also envelops with its scents. A polite and welcoming management a bit "old-fashioned" make it in my opinion an excellent campsite! >A camping "romantic" to the silence, the smells, the... animation present but discreet and vegetation that surrounds you with its aromas. - Renate T.June 2012The reception at the campsite was extremely friendly, we were greeted in German and English at the first gate. You get a key or an opener in case you are late. We were given several pitches to choose from. The site is very well maintained and the manager also helps out. For each pitch you get a key for... your own toilet/shower. You can do a lot of shopping, everything is provided on request. (Even a battery for our scooter) We ate in the restaurant four times, it was always very good and we were served in a very friendly manner. The pool was very clean and there were plenty of sun loungers available. The beach was always sifted and smoothed in the morning, and there were plenty of sun loungers and parasols here too. We had the pleasant feeling of being among friends.Tradus automat.
