Water pressure in the shower sometimes barely available. Dishwashing area connected to the ladies' sanitary area?!?!! :-)Perfect for the HockenheimringVery pleasant and friendly atmosphere. We felt at home. Ideal for a trip to the Hockenheimring! (Take your bikes with you - then you can easily get to the big event)
What unfortunately does not work at all: Closing times of the access road e.g. 12-15 o'clock!!!! So you can't leave the site by car for... no less than 3 hours in broad daylight!
The shower time is very short and the water pressure is rather modest (when fully occupied, it sometimes only dripped from the tap)
But the sanitary building is newly built, beautiful and well kept clean.
Small faux pas in the planning: dishwashing only for the ladies... :-) ;-)

Since 2022 there is another owner in it. I don't think the campground will last long under this regime. At 8 p.m. a very thick chain lock went on the door and it didn't come off until the next morning. It did not feel safe to me.... The dishes in the restaurant the food is delicious and the service very friendly.
The campground is close to the highway that is also an advantage but on the other hand the campground has become very expensive. - Jürgen K.May 2022PlusuriNoneMinusuriNo consideration for illnessNot nice and not in orderWe booked a pitch at this campsite for four nights at the end of May. We transferred the entire invoice amount of €160 in advance for the reservation. The campsite's regulations stipulate a four-week notice period after payment, after which no refund is possible. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our stay... at short notice due to my wife's illness. Although we could have provided proof of my wife's illness in the form of a medical certificate, we were denied any refund or credit for a later stay. My request for a credit note for half of the overnight stay was also brusquely and very unkindly rejected. The campsite has recently been under new management. The new manager obviously has little understanding for her guests and stubbornly sticks to her rules without any understanding for our plight. Hospitality is obviously a foreign word for this lady, we will not be visiting the campsite again.Tradus automat.
- SERGE M.May 2022PlusuriNoneMinusuriVery unfriendlyNever againWe spent the end of May on this place (reserved 4 nights and had to make complete prepayment) We arrived at 11:30 because we only had a short drive, were very unfriendly received by the new boss because we were too early! Nevertheless, we were not allowed to move into our pitch because arrival is generally... only possible from 3pm. Although the entire campsite was largely empty, we had to wait 3.5 hours in front of the barrier.
But that was not enough! In the evening we had to realize that already at 9 p.m. washing-shower and rinsing rooms are closed and therefore no longer accessible, only the toilet rooms are then still accessible. So if you want to devote yourself to personal hygiene after 9pm, you have to do this with cold water at the hand basin in the toilets. As already noted, the campsite was as good as empty, yet we were assigned a pitch on our arrival, we had to change the pitch again on Monday for another way of woodworking although the pitch was still empty.
Another more than strange regulation is the fact that the gate is closed at 6pm in the evening. Arrivals can still drive onto the pitch until 8pm if they call a posted telephone number. It is hard to believe that this service costs 10 euros. We have experienced how Dutch guests, who have regularly used the site as an overnight stay in the past, stood in front of a closed gate before 8 p.m. and nobody could be reached via the telephone number provided. Ultimately, these campers only had to find another
campsite for the night.
The new owner must be described as very unfriendly in her small-minded, stubbornly rule-bound actions. She is unable to show any empathy or understanding for the needs and concerns of her guests, let alone make an effort for the well-being of her guests. We will never visit this campsite again, which offers nothing for the money.Tradus automat. - Leo D.May 2022PlusuriNothing, that the next morning we were finally goneMinusurireception, payment method, strange closing times, rancid campground, many expired annual sitesThe worst camping in 50 yearsWe have been camping for over 50 years, are used to a lot, but this beats everything. Poor reception at the reception by an old lady did not bode well. Talked only a kind of dialect in which I could detect that her son was approaching. After 10 minutes the unfriendly person arrived in a golf cart. While... this campsite is known as an ACSI campsite we had to pay €37, naja say. Pay with debit card o.i.d? Nein sir, pay in cash. On rare occasions we were allowed to enter the campground and sir confiscated our ASCI identification. Bike off and 4 km vv to the ATM. Nice start to the vacation but different. The campground makes a dilapidated impression with many abandoned sites of permanent residents. The showers are closed from 11:30-14:00 and after 21:00! After 21:00 the gate is locked! WiFi not available and also no restaurant. This campground they should close and with a bulldozer with the ground.
Wir campen seit über 50 Jahren, sind vieles gewohnt, aber das schlägt alles. Schlechter Empfang an der Rezeption durch eine alte Dame verhieß nichts Gutes. Sprach nur irgendeinen Dialekt, bei dem ich erkennen konnte, dass sich ihr Sohn näherte. Nach 10 Minuten kam die unfreundliche Person in einem Golfcart an. Obwohl dieser Campingplatz als ACSI-Camping bekannt ist, mussten wir € 37,- bezahlen, sagen wir mal. Zahlen Sie mit EC-Karte oder ähnlichem. Nein, Sir, zahlen Sie bar. Ausnahmsweise durften wir den Campingplatz betreten und Herr konfiszierte unseren ASCI-Ausweis. Rad ab und 4 km vv zum Geldautomaten. Schöner Start in den Urlaub, aber anders. Der Campingplatz macht einen heruntergekommenen Eindruck mit vielen verlassenen Plätzen von Dauerbewohnern. Die Duschen sind von 11:30 bis 14:00 Uhr und nach 21:00 Uhr geschlossen! Das Tor wird nach 21:00 Uhr verschlossen! WiFi nicht verfügbar und auch kein Restaurant. Sie müssen diesen Campingplatz schließen und dem Erdboden gleichmachen.Tradus automat.

Quite a short distance from the highway, so new guests arrive every day. The sanitary facilities could do with a refresh. A large cable drum is an advantage for the power supply. It is unusual that the showers are closed after 9pm. The nearby road is sometimes annoying. Staying an extra night was no problem. The site has a simple design but has everything you need for camping. The restaurant used to be good - not any more.
The BAB can be heard - but... not significantly.
The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but were always clean. This is of course also due to the campers, who are used to using the toilet brush, for example.

You are personally accompanied by the manager to your pitch on the large meadow. You can also spend the night here. Location quite good for this (6.5 km by bike along the main road). Unfortunately, the same road is also to blame for the fact that it is quite noisy on the site during the day, especially in the area of the transit campers. At night, however,... the volume is okay. Overall, the site exudes the charm of bygone camping days. The fixed closing times of the pitch, the showers and the lack of toilet paper in the toilets (only one huge roll for all cabins) - a reminiscence of these faded times. On the other hand, the service, including the groundsman who shows you to your "pitch", was really good. As was the reception. The price - to be fair - is probably still rather old-fashioned. However, considering what is on offer, it is not a real bargain. From the campsite, you can also get to a spa quite quickly, but we didn't try it out.Tradus automat.

- grant m.July 2016good butarrived here on a monday at 12.30 hrs only to find gates closed and no sign of anyone, our fault for not checking, when we did get in at 1500hrs found that the gastatte was also closed on mondays, our fault again but it is a shame as the food as we found out is really good.The only thing we can pick... up is the toilet paper, only one big dispenser on the wall which you have to get paper before entering cubicle. good place for visiting hiedelberg with bus stop at entrance

We arrived relatively late, the registration formalities were completed quickly. From 22.00 and at lunchtime you can't enter the campsite by car. There are parking spaces in front of the site and the entrance door can be opened after 22.00 with a chip (deposit).... The site separates permanent campers and tourists, which in my opinion is very pleasant. The tourist pitches are not parceled out, you are not forced to park your caravan in a certain direction. At night you can hear the nearby main road, but this is not very disturbing. Overall, you can tell that the site is run by the owner, the whole atmosphere is great. The sanitary facilities are ok, even if they are not the newest. We will be back again.Tradus automat.
