Stefan K.May 2024PlusuriThe weatherMinusuriEverything elseDisasterUnbelievable, the large meadow is closed due to muddy ground, you are pushed off to the parking lot in front of the site. There was no email in advance despite a reservation. You sit here without a water connection or electricity. Without solar we would have been lost. Around 50 "stranded" motorhomes... and caravans share two ladies' toilets, two men's toilets and two showers each. Hygiene may be a foreign word. When we asked if we could also use the sanitary facilities on the site, we were told "...if you are standing there, yes" We did anyway, but these were also in a poor technical and dirty condition. Unfortunately, there is nothing free in the area for the Father's Day weekend, so we have to hold out or go back earlier. And for that we were charged the full amount. For us it was the first and last time on this site, or rather on its outdoor parking lot. Only the weather was great, but fortunately the operator doesn't deserve a plus point for that. One out of five stars, unfortunately nothing less is possible. The colonial owner, who unleashes his arrogant son on humanity as a parking attendant, has no sensitivity for small discrepancies. And I would like to... emphasize at this point that these were really small things. I do not recommend this place if you have a little fun in mind for your vacation.

There isn't even a toilet seat at every toilet and hasn't been for months. Otherwise filthy and only cleaned in the morning even when there are 500 more guests than usual. Garbage bins almost always overflowing and therefore unpleasant smell. If the location wasn't so nice, I wouldn't go there again.Tradus automat.

You have to stop at the marina and register. The reception speaks good German, but is somewhat taciturn. The entrance (barrier) can be opened with a barcode ticket. However, it is impossible to insert the... ticket without a trailer close by, with a trailer you have to get out or let the co-driver get out. There are signs on the site indicating that through traffic is allowed. The pitches: We stood on the large meadow, there are no marked pitches here, you are told at reception to position yourself as you wish. However, you have to be careful where you put your pitch, because there are only a few power connections in the middle of the meadow (in our opinion, too few). The location: The campsite is well located, close to the outlet center of Roermond and the city center. It is also located directly on the Meuse and has its own harbor. The sanitary facilities: There is only one container on the large meadow, which can only be reached via two very high steps. There are 4 toilets and two showers for each gender (showers cost €0.50). Outside there are two hand wash basins with cold water only. There is no hand dryer or soap at all. The chemical toilet may not be emptied at this container, so you have to walk halfway across the pitch. Leisure activities: There are several playgrounds for children and a sandy beach where swimming is permitted at your own risk. Entertainment is only offered at weekends. - Jörg D.August 2018PlusuriClose to the city water sports facilities Friendly staffMinusuriPoor sanitary facilities no W-LANClose to Roermond, friendly staff, sanitary facilities not up to dateWe were seasonal campers in Hatenboer and stayed there for 4 years. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site offers good food and we could never complain about the quality, good value for money. The short distance to the city of Roermond and the outlet offers many advantages. The... region also offers many opportunities for water sports. The harbor is adequately equipped and the slipways were in good order. Unfortunately, there has been a lack of investment in the campsite in recent years. For example, there was/is no functioning W-LAN on the site. The sanitary facilities have been upgraded with solar heating systems, but are not a feast for the eyes. Two of the four sanitary blocks are unheated in the toilet area and not very pleasant outside, especially in spring and fall. There is also no security to ensure sufficient peace and quiet at night. All in all, the site no longer fits in with the modern image of the region and urgently needs investment.Tradus automat.

It's certainly not quiet on the huge camping field, but that was the intention. Finally you can camp somewhere a bit more relaxed without a warden coming just because you have a radio on. Ideal for young people who like to drink and are not dependent on peace and quiet. I also... found the free choice of places on the meadow not a problem at all but great because everyone can go where they want.... The staff were super friendly and the prices were absolutely fine!Tradus automat.
- Marion K.May 2018PlusuriWaterfront location, close to the city of Roermond.Impossible...Whitsun may not be the right time for the site, but it's still the right time. 1. on the meadows everyone could position themselves as they wanted, which is not bad, but not practicable with the amount of campers. When everything gets full and families or groups arrive, there is no end to the congestion.... 2. the many groups all started playing their own loud music at lunchtime, which some of them played overnight until the morning. Sleeping was out of the question. 3. the sanitary facilities were not big enough for this number of people. It looked accordingly. The good thing was that we were refunded the money we had already paid for the second night, which we no longer wanted to spend here. Conclusion: We won't be back!Tradus automat.

You can bring your own boat... Very nice groundsman and the camping bistro serves delicious food with a view of the harbor. The town is only a 10-minute walk away and the outlet center is also a 10-minute walk away. A really nice placeTradus automat.

As a tourist you stand on the large tent meadow. There are very few electricity connections here and it's better to take the car to get water. Showers cost 50 ct for 6 minutes (which is still OK), but you have to pay 20 ct for about 10 seconds... of warm rinsing water (!?). At the other washbasins there is only cold water. I also find the electricity price quite expensive at 3€/day and only 6A. WLan only works sporadically. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the bathing area at all! Conclusion: Good for a short trip to Roermond or as a permanent camper with your own boat, rather unsuitable for a longer family vacationTradus automat.

The site map is absolutely illegible (both the online version and the version handed out - it looks like a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy), so you first have to find your way around to find showers, toilets, drinking water, etc. Power points on the meadow... for day campers are few and far between. The electricity connections on the meadow for the day campers are few and far between. There is garbage lying around here and there from campers who have long since left the site. The "sandy bathing beach" is just a narrow, short strip. After I went into the water there, I had three cuts under my feet. I don't know what was lying on the bottom, but you don't usually get cuts from stones and shells. The biggest drawback: constant sound from all directions. If you're not used to pop music or ballads, you're in for a tough test. If you think you'll at least get some peace and quiet at night, you'll be disappointed. You can hear the pounding beats with the usual bellowing of the combat drinking squads well into the night. In short: if you're looking for anarchy and want to really live out your recklessness: put your cups up, turn up the bass and simply leave the garbage behind when you leave. Nobody seems to mind, nobody seems to care. In this case, the campsite is an insider tip. For everyone else: Give this place a wide berth!Tradus automat.

On weekdays it is very quiet and pleasantly empty. However, at the weekends there are lots of visitors from Germany (especially young people) who come to party, and then it gets very noisy. Gitta P.May 2016PlusuriBeautiful location on the Maas, Roermond can be reached quickly by bike or on foot.MinusuriMore cleanliness and information in the event of faults would be great.Beautiful location on the MeuseWe were at the campsite at Whitsun. Despite booking, there wasn't a power connection for everyone on the huge meadow. This was installed on a portable basis and we shared a connection with our friends. Additional portable toilet and shower trolleys were set up there. As long as these worked, everything... was ok. Unfortunately, there was a complete power cut, which was rectified as quickly as possible. However, there was no information about the fact that the showers in the trolleys were only cold afterwards. You noticed this when you were standing underneath and the coin was gone.... The location of the pitch is great and you can get to the town quickly. The reception staff were very friendly, as were the staff in the restaurant. The food was normal Dutch. You can't expect top-class cuisine, but you'll get your fill ;-) The fixed sanitary block could do with cleaning more often. I found it positive that youth groups with tents were also welcome there. This is not the case at most campsites these days; you only meet well-off pensioners. The site has many well-kept permanent camping pitches. Conclusion: ok for a weekend, but I wouldn't spend a vacation there.Tradus automat.
