Highly recommended for a short vacation trip. Everything you could possibly need was available. Only the bathroom door strangely wouldn't close and the heaters made strange noises at long irregular intervals which was a bit annoying.

The reserved pitches were not shown to us - we had a free choice, which raises the question of whether we could have stood together in the evening (as requested in the reservation)
On the toilet the note that due to Corona the toilet... paper has to be brought by yourself (would be an advantage to know this in advance). The sanitary building was generally clean but somehow very old-fashioned and we had no information about the 1,- € pieces needed for showering until then.
Hot water time is sufficient for showering even with long hair.
We skipped the bread rolls for Sunday - they weren't so good that we would have paid the money for them again.
The groundsman was really nice and friendly. The space for tourists is quite limited. The site is to be extended in the future, but only for tiny houses. Our "job", which is why we were in Braunfels, is done and the site itself was not nice enough for another visit.

I like it when the pitches are more informal and not so big, the campsite operator was very friendly and the bread roll service worked well.
We enjoyed the proximity to the castle and... the Lahn hiking trail.
You are also quickly in Limburg, Wetzlar, Gießen.
Unfortunately, the nearby road was sometimes noisy. During the day it did not disturb, rather in the late evening. At night it was completely quiet on the campsite.
All in all, we had a nice stay and would gladly come back here again.Tradus automat. - Karin H.July 2020PlusuriQuiet, in the forest, no city noise.MinusuriBut we all have to get through the corona restrictions.A very quiet, idyllic, small and cozy camping park.Spent 10 days in the rented caravan. It is a very quiet place with a very old rustic tree population. It was very quiet, no parties, which was perhaps also due to Corona. The groundsman is always available, friendly and helpful. Beautiful tours can be made from here, whether hiking, cycling or by car.... Braunfels has a very beautiful old town, unfortunately there was no guided tour of the castle yet. Hope that we will soon have Corona behind us, and then there will be more possibilities again. There are plenty of shopping opportunities. Wetzlar, Giessen, Marburg or Weilburg are not far away. Fachwerkstrasse and the castle and old town are worth seeingMinusurisee above.Unfortunately drove again after one nightWe knew the CP was still under construction. Okay, that shouldn't bother us. Unfortunately, the new wash house (advertised on the website) was not yet open ( --- ) and the old wash house with two toilets and two showers was unheated and the water was cold. The groundsman was very nice and informed the technician and the site manager. We felt we had been taken for a ride. ..Tradus automat.- Carsten H.October 2018Plusuri-Minusuri- old, dilapidated sanitary building - No space to wash up - No catering facilities on site - still a garbage dump in many placesToo bad, too bad, too bad...A campsite with a lot of potential and little heart and soul! The history of this park is a sad one. The town has let it rot away and the new owners have been struggling for 4 years to give it character again. The site is laid out in terraces, but it is only possible to stay here as a permanent camper.... The small, hilly meadow on which you can "park" as a short-term camper makes a rather loveless impression. The groundsman deserves a special mention! A super guy who really puts his heart and soul into his work and doesn't seem to know the end of the day or the weekend. Always nice, always friendly and always ready with a good tip!!! Now to the rest of the facilities: There are two power points on the pitch and one fresh water point with simultaneous toilet disposal. Be careful with the electricity boxes! At first it's "Plug in where there's room!", but don't let old-established Langezit campers come and - unknowingly - block their sockets. This can sometimes lead to discussions... The sanitary area welcomes you in a beautiful brown and you have the feeling of standing in the changing room of an 80s village football club. Unfortunately, cleanliness is not a priority here and the mold in the joints doesn't invite you to feel comfortable either. New pipes lying open and various cobwebs are not so nice either. Great from the outside, from the inside... Well, you know the rest! Well, we will avoid the Braunfels camping park for the time being. It's also supposed to be a permanent camper and tiny house idyll, which means we're out anyway.Tradus automat.

The groundsman makes an effort, but somehow everything is still under construction after a long standstill. Surroundings very nice, location not so good because of the busy road. If you're not afraid of the mountains, you can go cycling, the old... railroad embankment of the Ernstbahn is nearby and leads to the Lahntal cycle path. Otherwise there are also nice excursion possibilities, shopping is also ok in Braunfels.Tradus automat.
