Rarely have we found so many advantages combined. The campsite is in a beautiful location: swimming, hiking, cycling - everything on the doorstep. No loud radio noise on the site, no traffic noise. The pitches are spacious and sheltered.... The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean. There is a tasty range of food for camping guests. The operators can only be praised: friendly and helpful. The showers in the small sanitary main building are very small and you just get disgusted.
No possibility to wash a toddler/baby properly.
The sink in the main sanitary building for toddlers is very small and sometimes only lukewarm water is available.... Other washing-up areas also take a lot of getting used to, but we only looked at them.
Shower system with 50 cent coin slot. 2 min. 50 cents and the time continues to run when you turn off the water.
The owner does not have a guest-friendly manner (anymore). We had no extra requests but with every contact (arrival/departure) we got the feeling that we were not welcome. A tame manner that makes you realize that you better just keep your mouth shut, otherwise it gets out of hand 😵💫 although my husband and I are very warm people and always approach people with a smile and are friendly. Despite this, every other sentence we were approached as if we had done something wrong.
We've been there several times. In the beginning, shortly after Mr. and Mrs. Plato opened, you were always greeted nicely (by the same person) to attract guests. The owner, on the other hand, is still a very friendly person, only Mrs. Plato should reconsider her friendliness towards guests. Good service is a must if you want to keep the guests you have won back then.
No changes have been made, at least none that are relevant, which is why we won't be returning.
But there is also something very positive to mention:
A huge advantage at this campsite are the large pitches. They deserve an extra plus, no matter which pitch we had, we always found it super nice.
A large campsite that would have absolute potential if they invested a little in relevant innovations.

Absolutely quiet (unless you have a noisy group of campers next door who don't know how to be considerate of each other), beautiful nature, Elbe cycle path right in front, very nice operators!
Countless cycling and hiking trails across the Düben... Heath.
The site has its own snack bar where you can order good home cooking in advance. We did not use the bread roll service. The nearest bakery is 5-6 km away.
We would like a few more sanitary facilities, because with 2 options for the whole site, it can be difficult to find a free toilet in the morning when the other building is being cleaned and always in the morning. Perhaps the cleaning times could be arranged differently here.
We will definitely be back. Whether guests with/without children or dogs, old... or young, everyone can enjoy their vacation here. The surrounding area is ideal for long walks and hikes and is completely surrounded by nature. We immediately felt welcome when we checked in. Our request for a quieter pitch was also promptly fulfilled. The site itself gave us a certain natural feeling. We didn't always feel like we were on a campsite, but rather in the great outdoors. Our pitch was near... the sanitary building 2, which consists of 2 containers with several rooms. The washing area, including the shower and toilet, is large enough. However, the other toilets and showers are very cramped. As the pitch was not so busy, we were often able to use the larger option. But overall we felt very comfortable. We originally wanted to stay for 3 days, but then we extended our stay by another 3 days. Many thanks again to the campsite team, we felt very comfortable.Tradus automat.

The owners are super friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are very clean and there are plenty of them. Unfortunately, the toilets are quite small. I am only 163cm tall and weigh 54kg. But even for me it was cramped. But this is the... only negative point. Otherwise it was very nice. The location is wonderful, the pitches large and the food in the restaurant was very good. There was a barbecue evening with pea soup and solyanka from an old NVA goulash cannon. Wonderful.
Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a family emergency. The owners were very accommodating. Thanks again for that. They also run the restaurant and probably bake bread and rolls themselves. As they can't split up, some of the offers are a little slimmed down or not so easy to see through. Due to the unusual restaurant solution, we opted for alternatives to eating... out, but that wasn't a bad thing, we ate delicious food everywhere. The campsite is beautifully laid out, no one gets on the neighbors' nerves, everything is very spacious. The sanitary facilities are fine, but unfortunately the showers in the entrance area only got warm after about 30 seconds. Since you couldn't stop the water, it was of course almost impossible to get by with the 2-minute runtime with a 50-cent piece. The container showers at the back of the site, on the other hand, were immediately warm, but a little narrower, but that was fine. That's why they became my favorites, despite being further away. We would book the pitch again at any time. We felt very comfortable and raved about it to friends. It's rare to find such large pitches and such peace and quiet.Tradus automat.

However, we received a lot of support and tips from the operators Sandra and Andre and the other campers. Many thanks for that. It was a very instructive and yet relaxed weekend for... us. Our dogs were also very welcome and felt right at home. A pitch at the edge of the site for a quick walk was very convenient for us.

We received a friendly welcome and were able to move into our pitch after a short registration. The pitch was very large and surrounded by trees and bushes. The site is not very big, but very quiet.
We were able to have... a snack in the bistro and there were plenty of cool drinks available. The prices are also great.
You should bring bathing shoes for swimming in the lake.

Sanitary facilities in a container, an absolute no-go, four showers for men and women. No power socket and no washbasin available. People had to brush their teeth at the... only washbasin in the toilet. There are not even any paper towels. The mini market lives up to its name, it consists of a fridge. Bread rolls have to be ordered, there are baked rolls and only one type. The operators are not flexible; if you spontaneously want more, this is not possible. Lausiger Teich June 11, 2019Hello Mrs. L., sometimes a conversation with the operator helps...nothing is finished immediately, but goes through a process...whether guests walk over other pitches does not depend on the status "permanent camper"! For the 4th sanitary unit, the additional sanitary area with washrooms will be available... from spring 2020. In our "shop" you can buy sun cream, dishwashing liquid, handkerchiefs, barbecue lighter, charcoal, gift items, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cookies, pasta, various coffee drinks, sweets, cigarettes, newspapers and ice cream...and cyclists passing through are also welcome to put together a small breakfast! As we baked over 700 rolls a day ourselves (we are not bakers), we decided on 1 type for logistical reasons. You were even aware of this through our email contact! Otherwise we bake 6 different varieties. We even offered you our private breakfast rolls and would have eaten bread ourselves - what's not flexible about that?
In your individual review you criticize the infrastructure. You had a pitch with fresh water, waste water, 16 ampere and SAT connection. During your entire stay, our restaurant was open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the campsite is located directly on the Elbe cycle path, Edeka and Co are 3 km away and the site is even served by a bus, you just have to call it.
We wish you many more wonderful vacations on campsites where you personally feel at home!

The site is well laid out and the infrastructure is well developed. Children can let off steam in various places (soccer, volleyball, table tennis, small swimming area by the lake, playground, etc.) and there is also a small indoor play area in the Villa Kunderbundt for rainy days. Wittenberg and Torgau are only about 20 km away and other sights are also nearby.Tradus automat.
